My granddaughter enjoys skiing sugar mtn & we have stayed at this location & unit before. I enjoy the hottub, sauna,fireplace & view from the balcony. She enjoys closeness to the slopes.

I enjoyed a delightful skiing getaway with the kids at this property. The place was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The friendly and attentive front desk staff provided an added sense of security while traveling with my two young daughters.

Just what we needed for our family. Great to be near Grandfather mountain and the pool was a big hit with our kids. The place was clean and comfortable and just as described. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check in process was simple, the only downside being that we arrived late on a Friday along with a handful of other guests, and so there was a good wait before they could allow us to drive up to the condo to unload. This is because there is a very small parking area at the top. But the rest of the weekend went very smoothly and on Sunday night they even let us remain parked at the top so checking out Monday morning was a breeze (because most people left on Sunday). The lobby was extremely inviting with a big fireplace and fall decorations and it smelled wonderful. The staff were friendly. The pool was awesome (and Mike kept us closely informed of work being done on the pool but luckily they reopened it quickly). The pool was wonderful. My kids enjoyed using it while we enjoyed the hot tub. The condo was the perfect size for my family of 5. My 4 and 7 yo shared the queen bed, and the pack n play for the baby fit easily in the master bedroom. Instructions provided warned us that the water heater was good for about two showers so we planned accordingly and never had a problem with the water getting cold. We ended up visiting Linville (caves and falls), Tweetsie Railroad, and hiking Rough Ridge Lookout on the blue ridge parkway. Every activity was perfect for my young kids. We had an amazing weekend!

We are so pleased with our stay! The stay exceeded our expectations in many ways. Michael was a breeze to book with. Top notch communication and accuracy in the listing. The condo itself throughly cleaned, cozy, and fully equipped with any extras we needed! We can't say enough how clean the condo and facility as a whole are! The resorts pool/hot tub area is very nice and well maintained. All amenities were available for use. The on site pantry (located in the lobby) is a nice addition. Each encounter we had with resort staff was pleasant. All staff were welcoming and seemer to enjoy working for the resort. Parking in the lower (guest parking, lot c) lots was not an issue as the shuttle was propmt. Security to the lots was also not an issue as they are guarded. We were hesitant to book here (as this was out first time) but are VERY happy we took the chance. We are now planning to return! 100% hassle and issue free trip!

Condo was clean, very well put together. Had fall decorations which was a nice plus. Beds were very comfortable.Would definitely stay again.

Mike was extremely informative and very nice! We’ve stayed at this resort multiple times, but Mike is by fast the best host! Unit is very clean, easy to get to, and has a great view of the mountains. We will definitely be booking with him again!!

GREAT communications with Host...Michael was very friendly & attentive! Weather was nice and comfortably COOL! Balcony views of ski-slope and sunsets were awesome! Furniture and beds were all very comfy. Kitchen was nicely appointed. First floor (above Lobby) and only 2 doors down from Main elevator so EASY "move-in & move-out". LOVE Sugartop!! Nice unit, includes W&D!

My family and I stayed at this property for the first time and overall had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, parking and checkin was easy. The first day and night we didn’t have balcony access as they were doing outside work on the building. We were able to have access after the first day, so it wasn’t a huge deal. The condo itself is certainly dated but I found the 1980 vibes matching with the year the condo was built - a neat feature personally. One thing to note: there is no air conditioning. We visited during the hottest part of summer and were nervous when we learned about the AC. However, after opening the balcony door and setting a fan in front, it doesn’t take long to cool down the place midday. There’s a nice indoor pool on the property, it is not heated during the summer. All of the property staff are super nice, from the front desk to the shuttle drivers, and all we’re very helpful in giving us suggestions and ideas for our trip. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be visiting again!

Five of us were able to stay comfortably in the condo. We were in driving distance of all our locations, Little Switzerland, West Jefferson and Banner Elk. Michael was wonderful about responding to emails. I can't wait to go back.

Everything was considered in this property. Hand soap, dish soap, luggage stands, fans, games, the amenity list goes on. The down side was the construction going on outside. Lots and lots of dust, but that was out of anyone’s control.

We had a great stay for my best friends wedding weekend. We loved the view of Sugar Mountain summit and the sunsets!!!!! The condo was much roomier than pictures portrayed, which was great for my family. Luckily, the master bedroom had plenty of room for a pack and play to be set up for our toddler. There is also a second bathroom in the condo which was a nice surprise! lol Our daughter enjoyed the indoor pool with the rest of the family while I was busy doing bridesmaids activities, which is nice to entertain little ones without having to leave the premises. The only negative is there is no AC in any unit. There are fans in both bedrooms which is nice but you’ll definitely need one for the living areas if you’re staying in the warmer months!!!! Overall we loved our stay and will definitely be booking again!

Cozy little place for the two of us to stay while visiting the area for area hiking. Clean unit, accurate description in listing. The building is under renovations so we did come in one day and find the outdoor furniture in the living area which was really no big deal. We also had to keep the doors and windows shut while they were working above us. The staff at the front desk and gate were nice and friendly. We didn’t use the kitchen or the second bedroom/bathroom but everything seemed to appear in good working order. I’m guessing since it was not busy, we were allowed to park at the resort and not in the guest lower lots which was a perk! Would consider staying here again for sure.

Liked the unit and the Sugar Top amenities. The unit had plenty of extras like a regular coffee maker plus a Keurig; games, xbox.l and pool towels. Thought it was too bad that the resort didn't have a small cafe/coffee shop--would be a great addition there, but Banner Elk has many nice restaurants.

Awesome place, great views, the condo was very comfortable and everything we needed was right there for us to use and enjoy. Love to visit Sugartop resort again in the near future.

This property has and absolute wonderful view of the mountains! As well as being one of the best places we have stayed by far! We look forward to coming back soon!

We loved our stay!! Only downfall was not having direct access to our vechicle. Shuttle not so fun in the cold weather

Due to year of construction, the dryer vents into the room rather than through an exterior vent. This caused a high level of humidity in the rooms and noise when drying clothes. Cooking utensils were acceptable, but older. However, the age of the condo was communicated in the listing and as such, the price was appropriate and entirely fair. Host was exceptional with communication both before and during our stay. Pool was excellent and a great break after skiing.

This condo was very clean, cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend ski trip. We cooked breakfast both mornings and all of the kitchen items we needed were available. There is a resort policy of no ski’s in the building, and the guest parking lot is a short shuttle ride down the road, so just factor in some time to make the stop to your car before and after skiing if your taking the village bus down to sugar.

Loved it just as much this time as I did last time. Lots of space, very clean. Huge comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well-stocked. I love this place.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Everything was clean and working. Has a washer and dryer ! Has a crockpot ! Very kid friendly. Lots of video games. Balcony is above the pool roof , we felt very safe and didn’t worry about a child walking out onto the balcony. Plenty of clean bedding ! Only 7 forks in the entire kitchen . I felt like I was washing them forks all day long. One thing I learned over the years , if you cook bring your own knife . Other than that , our stay was perfect !

Definitely more than we expected,,, watch skiers from balcony,, cozy fireplace, hot tub, pool & sauna on property,, we will definitely be back..

Mike was incredible in keeping us up to date on our stay!! Place was very clean and easy to enjoy! View was breath taking as well!! Would highly recommend!!
