The pictures of this property do it absolutely NO justice! Diane was wonderful, and it’s clear that part of her personality resides in this condo! The place is fully stocked, but also so close to amazing sunset palapa restaurants that we only made snacks in the kitchen. We didn’t feel the need to pay for a snorkel excursion, when we could just jump off the back porch anytime of day or night! We have used VRBO in many countries, and have yet to repeat a stay in one, but we are already contemplating our next trip to this delightful unit and complex!

Second time visiting this particular property. Couldn't be happier with the unit. Not the newest place in Cozumel, but possibly one of the easiest owners with which to work and a homey, friendly vibe, right down to all the fish related wall decor. Easy walk to town, just about a mile to the ferry. Great view from the balcony. Can watch the cruise ships come and go, as well as the small craft that service the ships and the divers who frequent the town. Well appointed two bedroom, two bath unit. Air conditioned. Small, functional kitchen, but who comes to cook? Washer and dryer on site and master is large, with a jetted tub. That tub is in the bedroom, not the bath and has sort of a view of the water, assuming you sit up straight like your mother told you. There are steps up to the unit and steps down to the pool and the lower level beach area. Snorkeling is great right off the bulkhead. The ladder in and out can be tricky if the water is moving hard, which it does on occasion. Usually no big deal, though. Lots of fish within yards of the bulkhead. One of the tenants came in and said he had seen a hammerhead shark just off the wall. Rays are fairly common, although the majority of the fish are smaller. Pool area is great as is the pool. Really appreciated the cleaning person and the maintenance crew. They were regular and worked hard on the appearance of the entire property. There can be a con to this property and it doesn't involve the unit itself, but rather the whole complex. There are maybe six or eight units total. The property has a narrow footprint. If the units on the ground floor are completely full, meaning four or six people per unit and they are not aware of the other folks, they can dominate the area. We experienced a group this time, nice people, but piling stuff on all the pool area chairs and only using two or three wasn't unusual. Not really the fault of the condo, just the way in which people sometimes are. Situational awareness is always helpful. We love this property. Love the unit, love the view, love the proximity to great food and the sights of the city.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at Diane's Cantamar 202 in January 2022. It was simply perfect. Diane was so extremely informative and helpful from the day we first booked our stay until we checked out. She gave us plenty of ideas of what to do and where to go, including some very memorable restaurants. The well appointed condo is in a perfect location with some of the best snorkeling on the island steps from your door. We enjoyed the picturesque pool when we weren't snorkeling. The views from the condo were stunning. It never got old just sitting on the balcony and taking in the sights. The condo is a short distance to downtown, which can be easily walked or you can hail an inexpensive taxi right in front of the condo. There are plenty of towels provided, including beach towels. Thanks to the included washer and dryer, we were able to pack light. We have been to Cozumel countless times and, thanks to Diane and her fantastic Condo, this stay was one of our favorites. As Diane correctly guessed as we were leaving, we will definitely be back. If this Condo is available for your trip, do yourself a favor and book it now!

Wonderful gem in paradise. Loved the location and comfort of accommodations. Perfect welcome mat to our dreadful experience trying to get from Cancun to Cozumel. Will keep this on our radar for future. Pool area is beautiful the backdrop of pristine Caribbean waters.

This is truly the best snorkeling on the island in our opinion. The morning of our departure I saw an eel, sting ray, blue tang, parrot fish (the list goes on) while snorkeling out the back door. (Snorkeling gear was provided by Diane). The unit was very clean. Bottled water was supplied for the entire week. The beds were very comfortable. I felt very safe the entire time of our stay. I was a little concerned over the safety concerning COVID before our trip but I believe the people of Cozumel are more aware of protecting others than we are in the US. My fiance and I stayed at a gorgeous condo in Cozumel last week and it was the highlight of our year!! Fabulous view of the ocean with a luxurious balcony and a semi-private swimming pool, perched over the sparkling waters. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The condo was VERY well-equipped, clean, and decorated in style! We snorkeled right off the steps behind the Cantamar. Cozumel was incredibly friendly and inviting. This condo is a must and we will be back!!

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed, definitely going back! Access to the water right outside the door was ideal for our young ones learning to snorkel! Pool also amazing! Great location!!

My wife and I went for our 3rd trip to this condo and had another wonderful vacation. We loved our morning walks exploring in town and to the marina to watch the activity. We have always felt comfortable and secure walking around Cozumel. If you take the time to talk to the locals you'll find out how enjoyable and interesting they are. Sitting on the deck in the mornings watching the boats go by and then later in the day to watch the sunset, is priceless. For us, snorkeling in front of the condo along the rock walls is as good as any shore location in Cozumel. We also appreciate the quiet and more laid back atmosphere that a smaller complex offers compared to the larger resorts. There were several days we had the pool and beach to ourselves. But the best feature of this condo is probably the owner Diane. She'll do whatever it takes to insure you have a great vacation!

We loved our stay but wish we had brought more cash for the taxi service since the hike to town was more than we expected especially in the heat and humidity. As well as the fact that not many places would take visa and no one took discover card. Mister Taco was AMAZING and we loved Restaurant La Herradura. Snorkeling was wonderful right at our condo as well as down the coast line toward town. We recommend staying away from the entrance fee parks and main road to town since they are catering to the cruise ships and are over priced and trying to suck as much cash from you as they can. The exchange rate was 17.5 but some places (wave runner rental) charged 19 pesos per dollar and other places charged anywhere from 16-18 per dollar. We preferred to stay with the mom and pop places and off the cruise ship areas. We would probably rent scooters next time or a jeep to get around in. Over all this was a great family getaway for us!!!

WOW! This was our first Cozumel trip and Diane Tealander came highly recommend to us from friends. The condo was extremely comfortable with great amenities, the best however was the view! It is in the perfect location of the building to catch the best sunsets on the island. Easy walking distance to town, beach clubs, restaurants and cruise ship disembark points. The pool was awsome and the snorkeling was awsome! I highly recommend Diane and Cantamar 202!

Diane took great care of us with timely responses and helpful info about the condo and the area. This is my third time staying at cantamar and not the last! The kitchen had everything we needed to do most of our cooking at home and having a washer and dryer in the unit was awesome. Most mornings were spent with breakfast and coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean. That view is breathtaking no matter how many times you see it! The grounds are impeccable, the pool is a nice cool break from the sun, and jumping off the sea wall into the ocean is spectacular. The best snorkeling is right in front of the condo! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view is awesome. The condo has everything you need....beach towels, all kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc, even nice snorkel equipment. And there was booze in the fridge and cabinet!! Working with Diane was a pleasure. There are 2 adorable kitties that live outside and she keeps cat food stocked to feed them if you want. She emailed during the stay to make sure everything was going well and was there anything else we needed. Thanks for sharing your condo with us! Dee

I almost hate giving my rave review of how wonderful this condo is and how easy the owner is to deal with :) . I would be so disappointed if the next time I want to book it all my dates were booked because this is such an awesome place.. especially for the price. The first communications with Diane about dates available were easy and I quickly felt like I was chatting with an old friend. She sent us a Fedex package filled with info on the island, the condo and tons of goodies to boot! Once we arrived in Cozumel, the condo was ready and waiting and we were wowed! Everything we needed was there! The snorkeling out front is some of the best we've ever experienced. The pool in the complex was where we hung out in the heat of the day and it was so relaxing. 5 days was not enough!! The A/C was nice and cool too! Something some guests in the complex had issues with in other units. The washer and dryer was fantastic. Beds were comfy which is a real treat in Mexico. I'm already looking forward to planning our next trip to Coz and I'll keep my fingers crossed Cantamar 202 is free for our dates! Thanks again, Diane! We had a ball.

We spent nine nights at the Cantamar 202 Condo. The unit was spacious, comfortable and the view was fabulous. This was our first time staying at the north end of the island and it was nice to be away from the cruise ship crowds. It was only a 15 - 20 minute walk or a $5 cab ride to downtown. Diane was a great landlord. We would stay here again.

What a great rental! Diane is awesome to work with and everything was perfect when we arrived. As far as I am concerned this part of the reef has the best snorkeling on the island! There was no reason to rent a car as it is a 15 min walk to downtown and the condo is well stocked with snorkeling gear and kitchen and laundry supplies. The pool is nice as well and Marcello the caretaker is very pleasant . We will be back!

We just spent a wonderful week in Unit 202 of Cantamar Condominiums. The location is ideal, as it is a pleasant walk or a very short drive to downtown yet far enough away to be very quiet and have a more residential feel. The unit itself is spacious with beautiful views of the ocean, and being toward the north end of the island you'll never find yourself looking out your window at a docked cruise ship like you will with many of the downtown hotels. There are lots of fun decorations in the condo as well, the vast majority of which have a sea life theme. As avid scuba divers, that appealed to us! Snorkeling off the shore is fantastic, with juvenile versions of many of the same fish that we see while boat diving in Cozumel: sergeant majors, trumpetfish, angelfish, flying gurnards, puffers, box fish, moray eels, sharp-tailed eels, yellow-spotted rays, and many more. On this trip we also discovered an octopus "herding" hermit crabs, or maybe they were just there trying on discarded shells for size. Either way, it was great fun to watch! The housekeeper did a great job while we were there, and usually timed her visits to do the cleaning while we were out diving. She even washed the breakfast dishes that I left soaking in the sink! All in all, a lovely stay at one of our favorite Caribbean destinations

I can't rave enough how great this condo is. Diane had everything you could ever need covered from the second I inquired about the rental. The snorkeling is absolutely amazing right out front. We saw rays, eel, squid, crazy amazing coral and tons of fish. The condo had a nice selection of fins, snorkels, and masks. We brought our own masks and snorkels, but was unnecessary because Diane had brand new ones that were still in the package. My husband is a diver so it was great that Aldora divers was right next door. The beds were AMAZING! The grounds of the condo were always very clean and pool was great. We can't wait to come back!

What a slice of paradise. I would rate everything 5 stars. Condo, location, security, ocean views, pool. The condo was extremely clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The ocean views were fantastic. The grounds were amazing. The pool was extremely clean. Wonderful access to the ocean. And the people were very friendly. Dianne the owner was so nice and knowledgeable on Cozumel as a whole. Before we took our vacation Dianne sent a package detailing the island, restaurants, entertainment, diving info. rentals, and maps. Information on everything you could think of. Thanks for the referral, Geobany. He is a phenomenal dive master. We have 3 favorite restaurants. Pepe's Grill, high end, excellent food. La Mission, great food, wonderful margaritas, good prices. And for local flare El Moro's, fresh caught seafood. Dianne thanks so much. You have made this one of our favorite trips. We will be back.

This wonderful ocean front condo is situated in the perfect location on the Cozumel Island. Close enough to town that you can walk to all the wonderful downtown area shops, restaurants and bars, but far enough away you feel like you are in your own little paradise. This condo unit is VERY well maintained, the owner was excellent to work with, and the on site manager was an absolute joy! Everything regarding our vacation at this condo was exactly as advertised. We loved watching the sunset from our balcony each night and took full advantage of the snorkeling in the warm ocean water right in front of the condo. We loved the pool and the nice clean private beach. This condo is truly a hidden gem!

We went for a week between Christmas and New Year's with our sons, ages 17 and 20. We had a a fantastic time. The view from the balconies was stunning. The snorkeling off of the dock was fantastic. The pool and beach area were beautiful. The location, nice walk or short cab ride was perfect. Close to airport. Thanks, Diane!

My wife and our two kids, 11 and 10 stayed a week here and were enthralled with Cantamar and Cozumel. We walked in the security gate, saw the pool and the ocean beyond and knew we had arrived in our little slice of heaven. The condo was great, perfect for the four of us and the property was a delight, good neighbors and snorkeling right off the dock. We walked into town most nights for dinner and enjoyed the time strolling along the shore. San Miguel is a wonderful town, a little busy some days with cruise ships but friendly and safe. El Moro was a favorite restaurant, Del Sur, an Argentinian restaurant and El Pique were great spots. The breakfast on the roof of the museum was another great idea. Even though we headed down to Chakanab we found the snorkeling off the condo dock better and with more variety of fish and sea life.

My husband and 2 of my kids - son 19 daughter 11 stayed 8 nights at this condo and I can't praise it enough! First the owner is thinks of everything-this unit is so well taken care of and all you need is right there. The snorkeling is wonderful and the entry in and out is very easy. I will absolutely stay here again !

This was a great find. Within walking distance of the square, it is a great location. Very quiet. Very private. good shore diving and snorkeling--- If you are bringing the family, this is a fabulous value. Our family of six (2 adult children, 2 middle school children, my wife and I) was very comfortable. The property is well maintained. The owners employ a grounds keeper, a maid, and a logistics person. These people checked on us regularly and made sure that any issues were addressed immediately. You won't have a waiter serving you drinks on the beach (not for lack of a great beach), but the place is beautiful and for the money saved, I was happy to be the family 'pool boy'.
