Our first family ski trip was great thanks to our host Annie. My three son’s and I had a blast exploring the snow and ice surroundings of the property. The views were breathtaking every morning from our balcony. Sugar ski mountain was a five minute car ride from the property. We ventured out to the Alpine Mountain Coaster (make reservations prior to arrival). If you’re into steak try Stonewalls in Banner Elk just a short 15 minute scenic drive. The Peddlin Pig didn’t disappoint if you are into bar-b-que, the roasted Turkey tray was fantastic. We brought home some amazing looking rocks with gorgeous colors from the little mining spot across from the Sugar Mountain Ski slope. The condo had everything you could need for a home away from home could possibly have. Just bring your own personal snacks or food to cook. The spices, pots & pans, etc are all there. Annie, the host, made our stay so comfortable and memorable with her warm hospitality. We will definitely be back again to make more family memories. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

This is our second time staying at Granddaughter Mountain. This unit is clean, the furnishings are very comfortable, the supplies for our use are plentiful, and the views are breathtaking. The Reserve at Sugar Mountain is centrally located to Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock with so many activities to do. Thank you for opening up your unit for rental. We will be back again!

Beautiful place in Banner Elk,NC. Check is easy, communication is very good. Clean and well stocked. Great place to relax for a few days, this unit has some of the best views in the the Reserve.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend on top of Sugar Mountain in property 88949. This condo is beautiful and fully equipped for a much longer stay. The view from the deck is amazing! The hosts have provided binders with information about the mountain, along with brochures for all the local activities. We highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed!

Granddaughter mountain condo was amazing! The views were beautiful! We were looking forward to enjoying sunsets from the balcony and we were not disappointed! Except for the foggy days. The photos of the condo don’t do it justice. It was perfect in every way. The balcony was the best surprise. It is much larger than I expected! We had a wonderful time, thanks to Annie and Peter!

This condo was everything the pictures portrayed and more! The views from the sliding glass doors in the living and master bedrooms were just surreal. Very quiet area with plenty of conveniences less than 10 minutes away. Annie was incredibly flexible, helpful and quite pleasant. My husband and I had a great extended weekend away. Definitely recommend!

What was an entirely too short trip to Sugar Mtn, we squeezed what we could. The location is just lovely. The views are jaw dropping. And the neighbors were super friendly. We enjoyed our stay and hope to make it back up the mountain soon!

This is one of the best VRBO I have rented from this far. The views were beautiful and breathtaking of mountains in the distance along with sitting on the spacious deck to watch the sunset along with some wildlife we saw. The owner was very helpful with activities and things to do in the condo along with around the area. The condo was very clean and organized with everything we could possibly need just like home. I will definitely stay here again.

Granddaughter’s mountain was the perfect property! Great location, perfect decor, incredible views and Annie gave great suggestions and information on things to do in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and are already talking about returning!

For an anxious traveler this was a perfect fit. Our host provided all the information we could ever need and more to make our check-in, stay and check out seamless. This condo has everything you need and is fully equipped. Love the location! We felt very close to all our activities but "away from it all" when we arrived "home". We tubed at Hawks Nest (well worth the drive 25mins, instead of Sugar, more lanes). The Alpine Slide at Wilderness Adventures as a fun detour. Take advantage of renting your ski equipment, and lift tickets the night before (8-9) to avoid crowds. Grab a bite at Banner Elk Cafe/Lodge, huge menu sure to meet everyone's needs in your group. Everything about this property was fantastic, from the attentiveness of the host, to the cleanliness of the house, to the incredible views. Just book it! You won't be sorry. This is one of the best VRBO rentals we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in quite a few.

Wonderful host, beautiful view and property.

The drive up the mountain is certainly interesting if you’ve never been before, but the property is well worth the drive. The moment you walk in you are greeted with the most incredible view. The comforts and modern amenities made it feel like home and we were all perfectly comfortable and relaxed watching a movie in front of the fire place after a long day out and about. Entrance and exist procedures are easy to understand and simple. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this property enough. We will definitely be back.

This was our third stay at The Reserve area on Sugar Mountain and was also the best unit yet. All 3 units were great, but this one was the best equipped for a family to stay in the room more. The unit was amazing in decor and clean. Will stay again.
