This is a desirable accommodation that is well equipped with modern appliances in the kitchen and many amenities, such as an electronically controlled fireplace and air purifiers. It was spotless clean and well maintained. The outdoor seating area, a common space shared with another condo, is very inviting with beautiful mountain views. Bruno's Market & Deli and Surf N Sand Liquors & Wine is a convenient bonus. Furthermore, the host, Craig, was very responsive and gracious. Best of Vrbo hosts. Highly recommended for a couple that wants to enjoy the best of Carmel within walking distance.

Carmel was a 35th wedding anniversary trip. This unit was easy walking distance to everything in Carmel. Our first impression was the unit was very clean with updated flooring, bathrooms and appliances. The kitchen was well outfitted and supplied better than most VRBO rentals. We found it odd that there is no central heating or cooling. The fireplace serves as the heating in the main area. The bathrooms have exhaust fans that also heat. There are no ceiling fans. For me, the air was too still. The unit had a slight musty smell to my sensitive nose. My husband didn't notice it. We are east coast people, so central heating and cooling along with ceiling fans are common, perhaps California is different.

We have been visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea for many, many years and returned last week to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. We knew we wanted space (more than a hotel room) and to be able to dine in once and a while. This property offered everything we wanted. It is in the village, so we were able to walk to our favorite restaurants, shops, and down to the beach. It is near the market, so we were able to get groceries and have snacks and meals in when we wanted. It includes a parking space, so we were able to park and not have to be on the hunt every time we went out. The property was very clean, updated interior, the bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen are lovely, and the large outside deck has tables and couches for lounging. The property manager was very responsive and incredibly helpful (thank you Craig!). While I would selfishly like to say nothing and hope that this property be my own hidden gem, I can't help but rave a bit. Ha. We will definitely be back.

It was nice to have everything within walking distance. The unit was well stocked, clean, updated and had a nice outdoor patio. Enjoyable trip!

Pros: location was great. Market right across street - also where parking was. Well stocked with comfortable beds. Easy keyless entry. Quiet area. Clean. Cons: stairs up to condo a problem if you have a lot of heavy luggage or trouble doing stairs.

My husband and I have frequented Carmel so many times renting monthly homes, weekly bed and breakfasts, and hotels on Pebble Beach. Both of us retired this year and of course, Carmel was our trip of choice and we decided to try a condo in the center of town. It was so easy to get to and very close to restaurants and shops. It was great to just pop down for a quick bite to eat or to pick up something at a nearby store. . We loved that our condo required no keys for entry - the code was an added bonus ! The courtyard was a great place to sit and read and relax at the end of the day. The inside of the condo was super clean and updated. We found the accommodations comfortable and large enough for the 2 of us. The 2nd bathroom was such a plus ! The laundry set up was outside but was easy to operate and we had no issues. Steve communicated with us almost immediately and made us feel at home . It was a great trip !

We arrived and check in was easy and seamless. The property was beautiful and extremely clean. This place has everything you need including grocery store very close and wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Owner was friendly and responded quickly. If we were to come to Carmel again this is where we would stay!!

Took advantage of being able to work remotely, location is great for getting to restaurants and not too far from the beach and a beautiful view of the sunset. Well stocked kitchen, great communication. Hoping to return soon!

Great place to stay during "Covid Times" close to everything in Carmel! Nice walk to the beach. We were able to spend time with friends on the patio and enjoy take out from great restaurants right next door. The patio is shared with the other unit but there were no other guests at the time. Condo is comfy as well. My teen son found the pull out bed to be comfortable. My daughter and I thought the master bedroom was comfy. I would stay again.

We had a wonderful time staying here for 4 days. The host was very responsive and very helpful. The description of the place doesn’t do it justice- it is very nice, has a very modern feel and a great location. One of the best parts that was a very pleasant surprise is the huge deck- it was such a lovely place to Have morning coffee and enjoy the lovely weather. Would highly recommend this place!

great location. quiet but close to Ocean Ave (main street) and all the restaurants and galleries. bigger than expected. clean and well maintained. Fully functioning kitchen with all the necessary gear. sunny outdoor seating area to enjoy south facing views.

July 2019 My husband and I were looking for a romantic and private getaway in Carmel by the sea. We thought we had found it. Turns out you share a patio with an adjoining unit which is what happened to us without our knowledge. This is not written in the description of this VRBO listing. The patio was very dirty and littered with some trash. The pictures are not reflective of the current furnishings. Also, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Upon arrival we saw the condo had been tagged with a stop work order. When we called the property manager about these issues, he explained the reason for the stop work order. He then told us we should have used “common sense” and read the previous reviews. In those reviews we would have seen the patio was a shared space. We have rented VRBO properties for years. It’s unfortunate they have chosen to mislead their guests with false advertising. We would not recommend this property nor would we rent it again.
