We have stayed at this location for 3 years now and it has always been a great place to stay

This was the 4th time we have stayed at this house. I love the house, the property and the owners are wonderful. It is always being updated and well taken care of. My family looks forward to it year after year.

We had all the kids and grandkids - easier to pull off since Chautauqua is only 2 hours away. The property was exactly as advertised. Good location - short drive to Bemus or Lakewood. Enough bedrooms between the house and pool house to accommodate everyone and not feel cramped. Dining table was tight but we made it work. Pool is modest size but the grandkids loved it.

This property has it all!!! We’ve stayed here several times and loved it again this summer. Its location and amenities are absolutely perfect for groups who love activities on the lake and appreciate downtime together by the pool or hot tub. Our group had a boat and used the well equipped dock. No boat? There are two kayaks to use and you can catch fish right off the dock. Another favorite spot is visiting together under the covered porch with a divine view of the lake. The kitchen is well equipped and the home is very comfortable. The host is friendly and very responsive. Highly recommend this property!

We had a very nice time at Ship’s Watch as this was our 2nd year! The owner was very responsive to questions and our family enjoyed the waterfront property as well as the pool. There are plenty of rooms for a large family and the house is well equipped for serving meals as well.

We returned for our family summer vacation for the 4th year at this location. We love it. The kids can spend hours in the pool, fishing is right off the dock, the neighborhood is quiet and great for bike and scooter riding, the location is convenient to the many options Chautauqua County has to offer, we can dock a boat for the week, and the accommodations are more than adequate for our family of 8 adults and 6 kids. We hope to return next year!

Had a great stay with friends and family celebrating my upcoming 40th birthday! The property is beautiful. It comfortably accommodated everyone, and having two separate buildings made it easy for some to stay up late playing games in the pool house while others could comfortably and quietly get to sleep in the main house. Would love to be back in the future!

We loved our stay! The views were amazing! The hot tub was a fantastic amenity. We thought the pool house was the perfect extra space. Our entire group had a wonderful time. We would definitely book again! 5 stars.

We had a wonderful time at this lake house; it was beautiful and it was perfect for our extended family vacation. The pool and hot tub were absolutely gorgeous. We look forward to maybe booking it again for future trips.

This was our 3rd time staying at this property. I can't say enough how wonderful our hosts Jill and Larry are and how beautiful everything is in the house. My children and grandchildren enjoy their time together here and are kept busy whether it is swimming in the wonderful pool or spending time in the boat house hanging out and watching movies together. Any issue or question we have is answered or taken care of immediately by the owners. We love it so much we have already booked for next year.

We had a great stay. My husband and I stayed in the pool house and could go to bed earlier than the rest. Our whole family enjoyed the game room playing bumper pool and playing cards and dice games on the table. The pool was used many hours everyday and we rented a pontoon boat for 2 days. Keep in mind it is well water and bring lots of bottled water. We did not have any water for about two hours after we arrived. The owners were very good to help us. The hose filling up the pool had been left on which caused the problem. We went to the Ellicottville Brewing on Bemus Point and also the Southern Tier Distilling Company in Lakewood. Enjoyed both of those. Had s’mores at the fire pit. The Air conditioning units kept the rooms cool but did allow some insects and flies into the houses. All in all it was a great stay.

Jill answered all inquiries in a prompt manner. Everyone totally enjoyed our week at Shipwatch!

We lucked out with fabulous weather for 2 weeks while staying at 2 lake front cottages. The pool & hot tub were fun. The dock is very secure & steady with a very nice bench at the end of the dock. This frequently enjoyed by almost everyone for a quiet peaceful time. The main house has a well stocked kitchen that is most conveniently well labled. There was plenty of room of all 14 of us.

We love this place. This was our 3rd year staying here. It is so comfortable for our family. The kids love the pool, we can rent and dock a boat, there is room to spread out and to come together for lots of family fun, neighborhood is quiet and centrally located for the multitude of activity options in the area. The hosts are very responsive to any questions / issues. We hope to return.

Could not ask for a nicer place to spend our family vacation on Chautauqua lake. We are a family of 8 adults and 7 children and there was plenty of room for us all. The pool is the center of the property for us and is enjoyed daily by kids and adults as well. This is our second year here and we had another wonderful time. Jill as always was a joy to work with. The house was perfect! We loved having 2 completely separate yet very close houses. We have stayed on the lake for 5 years at different homes and this has been our favorite! Perfect layout, great pool and hot tub, and ample space. Best fishing we have had on the lake too. Can’t wait to come back!

2nd year staying here and love this property. Amazing location, incredibly warm pool even with cold temps, and so much space to spread out between the two houses.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. Having a pool we could all enjoy especially for the children was perfect. The adults really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The kitchen was large and well equipped for feeding our family. It worked well for us cuz we only lived a hour away and some people came the beginning of the week and then other family came at the end of the week. I would definitely recommend iit.

We are an extended family of 15 with 8 adults and 7 children ages 1-9. This was the perfect place for us to stay. Plenty of room to spread out and the pool and hot tub were the biggest hits for the kids. The property is exactly as advertised and has been said many times Jill is very responsive and easy to work with. We had such a nice time we already booked for next summer

Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here. From the moment we checked in, we could tell the property was well cared for. When we entered the property, it was evident that both homes had been deeply cleaned prior to our arrival. There was plenty of space between the two houses for our group to spread out and relax. Everyone in our group (ages 8 through 68) enjoyed making use of the beautiful pool and hot tub. Both kitchens were well stocked and labeled, making it simple to find everything we needed. We also enjoyed using the docks for fishing and boating, and made use of the included kayak as well. The included property manuals in the houses made finding local points of interest easy. Jill was a great host and answered the few questions we had quickly. Ultimately, we had a wonderful trip here and would not hesitate to stay again!

Another amazing week with our family at this well equipped, comfortable and beautiful home! Absolutely perfect for a wedding proposal on the pool deck with a view of the lake and family members to celebrate with the happy couple! We had family from all over meet here! SanFrancisco, NYC, etc!! We couldn’t have Christmas together this year because of COVID-19 so we celebrated it in June!! We loved the property and everyone wants to come back next year. Jill and Larry were very quick to respond on issues that arose and corrected them immediately! Thank you for making our vacation great!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week on Chautauqua Lake. So much so, we decided to return next year! The owners have thought of everything you might possibly need. Jill was delightful to work with and she promptly replied to all of our questions. Our multigenerational family had a great time!!

This was our second year staying at this location and we hope to return again. The pool is the clincher, but lots of other great things about this place, too. Besides the hours spent in the pool and hot tub, we fished, boated, hiked and explored the surrounding area. The neighborhood is secluded enough for lots of biking and walking with children. Kitchen is fully stocked. Fabulous place for memory making.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The accomodations were excellent, with the extra pool house offering a great deal of flexibility. The standout was the pool and hot tub though, along with the beautiful views. Our family absolutely loved the large dining room table that allowed us to eat while having a great view of the lake. My parents read everyday in the back room, which also had the same view. We used the pool and hot tub a minimum of 2-3 times per day. It is so refreshing to actually have a pool that is heated so well. It was like having 2 hot tubs! We are already planning our next stay here!
