Love Coconut Grove area and MrC in comparison to typical US properties is a cut above! Chic European vibes
A major disappointment is that the hotel values third party events dollars over in-house guest satisfaction. I book this hotel because I love their rooftop pool - but twice in one day they hosted events that meant in-house guests could not use the facilities. They also don’t even notify guests of this inconvenience. They said “we’ve organised for you to use the Mayfair hotel pool!”. I say “I’ll stay at the Mayfair next time if that’s how you treat your in-house guests”. Obviously short term profit is more important. Not a winning or sustainable long term strategy.

DECOR, LOCATION, FOOD, CONCEPT OF MR C IN GENERAL...
NOISE LEVEL IN ROOM... VIEW TO THE BACK OF THE BUILDING... VERY FEW WATER BOTTLES DAILY... WIFI, VALET AND OTHER AMENITY FEES WERE EXTRA.

the rooms are small. Sadly this hotel is all about the $. The rooms are like a supermarket stuff displayed with prices on everything. It’s ridiculous. you don’t even have room for your own stuff. No coffee maker or one free bottle of water. not a chance. It’s all about $$$$$ 3rd and last time I will stay at this property. Sadly all these things became more noticeable….

Service was great. Location great. Room great.
Valet parked. Car returned with exterior extremely dirty. Must have parked under tree or someplace where road dirt/dust was prevalent. A little disconcerting when paying $44 for overnight parking. At lunch, hostess asked if we would like water, still or sparkling? Still was preferred. Water was charged at $10. Should have expected charge since "tap water" was never offered but still somewhat surprised.
