This house made the visit for us! The minute my son and I walked through the door, we looked at each other and said this feels like Grandma's house. Clean cozy and comfortable We will be going back to this house next time we go to Fredericksburg!

This house was perfect for our quick girls trip. All the charm you need in Fredericksburg and walking distance to food.

This property is so well kept, clean, comfortable and met our needs perfectly. It is located off Main Street and several blocks away from downtown. So you’ll need to drive and park when shopping. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. Outside is very picturesque and has several different sitting areas. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable, clean little cottage in a great location.

Hello! We had an amazing stay at the Butterfly Cottage. We were comfortable and the property decor was outstanding. Our rooms were comfortable & the accommodations were fantastic. We’d like to give a little constructive criticism which would’ve made our stay 100%: 1. The coffee maker was broken and the initial pot took around 2.5 hours to brew. We found 2 more coffee makers in the cabinets and only one of them worked (and it was the small 4 cup one that worked, unfortunately). 2. The toilets were incredibly low and small!! We barely fit on the seat & with every ‘sit’, it took a lot of effort to stand. We are tall people. That is all! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Neighbors were a lil noisy, assuming it was a rental as well so probably not a regular thing.

The Butterfly Cottage was charming and beautifully furnished! The location was convenient for exploring the surrounding Hill Country.

It was a great house, only complaint was the coffee pot.

Rental was easy, even when requesting an extension! Overall great experience!

The accommodations were great! Good location and very well maintained. Only thing was the claw foot tub drain didn’t work— it leaks when trying to take a bath. Other than that it was great

The property was clean, and located very close to the main drag and marketplatz. It's definitely charming, and I love the butterfly motif that carries through the property. Pros: - It's cute. Back garden/porch area is great. Love the antiques and books throughout the house. - Centrally located. Very small street just off of main drag. You're 5 minutes or less from everything. - pet friendly. I ended up not bringing my pups, but they provided treats and a wire kennel. The yard is not 100% fenced in, so be aware if you're bringing an escape artist. - covered driveway - cable with on demand - lots of basics provided in kitchen Cons: - Dust. I had a headache staying in this house. Cobwebs in the corners all over, especially the bathrooms. - Very thin windows mean you hear in depth conversations from the neighboring property or just people walking down the street, most notable in the front bedroom with the insanely high bed. - Water pressure is insane. This is a pro in one bathroom, con in the clawfoot tub because water gets EVERYWHERE. The hand sprayer literally achieved liftoff my first time using the shower because I didn't realize. We had a good laugh. - I know it's an old/historic home, but some of the thresholds into rooms are loose or just way too raised. It would be a nightmare for someone with disabilities. -TINY trash cans with no liners. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and this was a good place to use as a base while we ate and drank our way through fredericksburg.

Location was good. Couldn’t sleep in front bedroom, too much road noise. Nicely equipped kitchen and appliances. Master en-suite claw foot tub/shower is a sure way to get everything in the bathroom wet! Not a fan. Beds were comfortable but found an over abundance of chairs, stools, tables, nic naks to move around comfortably. Really nice yard areas and the porch swing was my getaway spot!!

House was beautiful very homie. Stocked better than any we’ve stayed in before. Deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, all toiletries you would need in case you forgot something. We didn’t cook in the house so I really can’t say about the kitchen. We ate out, but definetly recommend Butterfly Cottage.

I love dogs but having a box of treats in the freezer and a tin in the refrigerator is a little much. Not for me. The oven could use a good cleaning as well as the windows-cobwebs everywhere. Was disappointed not to hear back when we called a second time about the wasps in the house.

My brother, SIL and I all rented the Butterfly Cottage for my mom (and us) and surprised our mom for Christmas with it. It was cozy and comfortable, and the fact it was pet friendly was a plus! The only thing we would have wanted different, is for the back yard to have been completely fenced, so we didn’t have to keep Willow on a leash (the dog, of course). However, the backyard was very well groomed and the gazebo added a nice touch for evening chats.

Excellent, except toilets to short. Hard to get off of. Place was very clean. Beds very comfortable. I would stay again.
