This property was wonderful! Our family had a fantastic time. The house was clean and functioned well for our group of 17. We really enjoyed the dual family rooms. This allowed for space for the adults to hang out and a room for the teens/kids to play games. The pool was great and served us well. The close location to the beach and steps from Coligny Plaza was absolutely wonderful. Probably the best location we have stayed in. The only issue for us was the lack of beach equipment. We were told that there would not be any, but this was the only house we have ever rented that did not have beach chairs, shovels, boogie boards etc. It actually really impacted our trips to the beach. Some of us flew in and were not wanting to spend $50 on a beach chair just to be thrown away. As much as we loved the house we would probably need to be thoughtful about if we would want to rent this house again for this reason. We would have been happy to even pay a bit more to "rent" these items from the house. Like I said I would still give 5 stars because we were told about this beforehand, but I didn't realize how much it would effect our trips to the beach.

This place could use some TLC!! Had to start cleaning as soon as we arrived , bleached the deck and scrubbed the tiki hut Maintenance came in to do some quick fixes on some repairs in home. Call for pool to be cleaned before anyone could attempt to get in it. Very dirt !!

Fantastic property for a large family (multi family) beach week!

This house was perfect for us. We have older teens/young adult children… perfect distance to the beach, perfect distance to Coligny (restaurants, shopping, entertainment). The house was plenty large enough for everyone to have space. Everyone was happy this week!

It was very clean and everything worked. Great space that met all our needs. The only complaints were about the mattresses being squishy and uncomfortable. Loved the proximity to the beach! Loved being able to walk to the square.

Great stay. Great location. However, a few issues with pool heat and hot tub heat. We had a great pool manager who came by and fixed things. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back.

The location of the property is very good. It is in close proximity to the beach and great local shopping. The owner was very responsive and gracious.

Only issue was, it did not appear to have been vacuumed prior to our arrival. There was dead bugs in almost every room

My family and I stayed at the property 8 years ago and had a good experience. The location couldn't be better as it's so close to everything! The layout is also nice. We did have some issues during our recent stay. The glass shower door came off the track and fell on my mom. When we called the property manager, she was very nice and they quickly came out to fix it. Apparently there was so much mold and mildew build-up that it caused the door to come off the track. There was a lot of mildew and mold in another bathroom shower as well. Two of the shower heads have very low water pressure. We also had an issue with the door going to the back deck. It was very hard to open and close. We do like the house overall and would consider staying again if these issues are resolved.

This was such a great location. Walking distance to everything you could need, the beach, restaurants, grocery store etc. i have a few minor complaints however. 1: the cable for tv in one of the bunk bed rooms does not work. (Left wing) Teenage boys were staying there so they were bummed. 2: the hot tub/pool situation. I felt a little deceived that the hot tub doesn’t actually get hot, when you pay for the pool heat, both the pool and hot tub are the same temperature. For an extra $700 that was a bit upsetting. 3: in the left wing master bedroom upon check in, the bundle of clean towels was placed on top of the bed hiding the fact there was a huge makeup stain on the blanket. It wasn’t just a set stain..I’m talking someone’s fresh makeup, which means the blanket was not washed prior to my arrival which was really disgusting frankly. 4: the breaker that kept tripping. Upstairs in the left wing as well, if you flipped a light switch in the hall, all the power to the master shuts off due to a breaker tripping. This was annoying. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again, in the hopes these problems get addressed.

We were looking for a house close to the beach where our 4 adult children and their families could gather with us for Thanksgiving and 19 Avocet was the place. With 4 nice bedrooms and 2 bunk bed rooms it was set up well for adults, teens and children. Great Kitchen for cooking and gathering. They supply the basics for cooking but if you need something bring it yourself. The house gets a good bit of use so I wasn’t surprised to find a few things that needed repair. Only a short walk to the beach with no road crossing to do was a plus with all the little ones. Lots to do within walking distance around Coligny Square. Thanks for a great stay.

Overall loved staying here! The location was perfect- easy walk to beach and shops. House could use some updating but was clean and everything worked. Any minor issue we had (ex coffee pot cracked) was fixed promptly (hours). Worked well for my parents, adult siblings, spouses, and few kids.

This house was great for our large family. We gathered for a family funeral and were able to all be together to celebrate a life well-lived.

Split floor plan worked for 2 families with 2 yr old

Was told we could have early access at noon, 5/16. Our code did not work until 4pm. Luckily, a maintenance worker was there to install a TV and let us in. He then called and got an early entrance code. We were only delayed about 45 minutes. Otherwise, we would have had to sit outside for over 4 hours.

The location was perfect. We were only steps away from the beach and Coligny Plaza which had great shopping, restaurants/bars and a grocery store. We loved not having to drive anywhere for anything. The layout of the house was great. There were two separate sleeping areas which were located on each end of the house. Each area had a master suite/bath, two guest bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The house was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. The open floor plan of the kitchen, dining and family room had plenty of seating which made it great for entertaining. The backyard had a private pool/jacuzzi and tiki bar surrounded by a privacy fence, which would’ve been awesome had the weather cooperated. Overall I would say this is the perfect vacation spot and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a vacation to Hilton Head Island. We definitely look forward to staying again.

We had a wonderful time. The house was just re-done with new flooring and furniture since our last stay. Everything was beautifully done and very clean. We all enjoyed the short walk to either the beach or Coligny plaza. We will definitely be back again next year! Thanks.

My family and I rented this property and it was fantastic. Just steps from the beach, and equally as close to the shopping centre and restaurants. You will never run out of things to do and places to eat if you stay at this location. The beach is beautiful and relatively quiet. This home is a great place for large groups or families with children of all ages. The kitchen, in particular, is really great. Lots of space to cook and the open concept allows for you to monitor your kids while working away. The pool is a nice feature too. We have already booked this location for next year and we will hopefully continue to return again and again.

We have been renting in Hilton Head with our family for 10 years. This house is in a great location, close to beach & Coligny. But it was the dirtiest house we have ever rented! The maintenance & upkeep on this house was terrible!! They offered to clean again but how are you going to do that when you are already in it. If there would have been another house available we would have moved. But being 4th of July everything was rented. I would never recommend this house to anyone, unless they do a major cleaning.

This home is so much more than the pictures are able to reveal. The living areas are large and very comfortable, the kitchen and dining area open and well stocked, and the bedrooms/bathrooms immaculate! The split floorplan is great for extended or combined families. The location is excellant! You are literally steps from the ocean and Coligny, which offers shopping, grocery, restaurants, and entertainment. The owners are great to work with and I will definitely recommend this home to family and friends.

We rented this house for a family reunion for my husband's birthday. We had a house full and everyone was very comfortable in the home. We all loved the location -- proximity to beach, groceries, restaurants, etc. We are definitely planning to get the group together again at this house! We had 14 people in this house, very comfortably.

My kids said this was their favorite vacation ever and we have been coming to Hilton Head for over 20 years. The house was large and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We had twelve people staying and never felt crowded. We loved the easy walk to Coligny and to the beach. There were plenty of bathrooms and the garage was large and had plenty of storage space for beach chairs, umbrellas, ... Thanks for the precious memories!

19 Avocet was a great home for our family holiday vacation. The separate bedroom wing arrangement was wonderful for multiple families, and the location could not be more convenient. Quick stroll to the beach and Coligny Plaza. We have rented homes in the Outer Banks and many locations in FL, and this was one of our favorites. The owners were very easy to work with and agreeable to our requests. We would definitely recommend this home!

This was the perfect house for our large family. We come every year at Thanksgiving and this house was by far the best we have stayed in over the years. Convenient to the beach, shopping and dining. We hardly had to use our car. Thanks for a great time!

We had an extended family gathering here for our aunt's funeral - really a celebration of her long 92 year life. Being able to spend time together in this great house was wonderful. Everyone was so pleased with the accommodations, spaciousness, location and quality. Being so close to the beach was a real plus....even in February. Coming from all over the country, we enjoyed congregating in the beautiful kitchen / family room areas, and then being able to retreat to privacy in the numerous bedrooms. It was our own personal Bed and Breakfast! Thank you, Todd.

What a Beautiful house and excellant location to Coligny Plaza (Ice cream shop) and the beach. The pool, Movie room and large open kitchen was wonderful for our large family vacation. The pictures do not do this house justice.

What a great house for vacationing in Hilton Head with family! The pictures do not do it justice. The location was wonderful as it was extremely close to the ocean and equally close to Coligny Plaza where there is grocery shopping, a fresh bakery, hardward store, ice cream shop, restaurants, internet cafes and plenty of shops. Would definitely like to return to this lovely home as would my children and grandchildren.
