Clean, convenient, and only a short walk to the beach.

Plenty of beds for our group and the three bathrooms were a bonus! Archie was a pleasure to deal with. Very helpful and quick to respond. We would love to go back one day! Parksville is our happy place!

We had an amazing stay at Archie’s place. The house was clean, comfortable and great for our family. Just steps from the ocean and right beside Rathtrevor Park made entertaining the kids so easy.

Our first vacation in 3 years due to Covid. Appreciated the extra cleaning and supplies which were left for us. Spectacular weather - much warmer than we were anticipating. Awesome, easy access to the beach and a convenient home base for exploring further afield - Cathedral Grove, Top Bridge, Madrona Point, Beachcomber Park, Rathtrevor, Coombs, etc. Quantity of beds and bathrooms perfect for our family.

The home was clean and comfortable….had every convenience..well equipped kitchen… parking was fine and it’s so close to everything……but best of all the beach access . Not so keen on the three stories as we are in our 70’s but all was good.

Wonderful place to stay! The house was clean, good layout, had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and in a great location; close to lots of fun activities. We loved how close to the beach we were plus being able to see the beach from multiple windows and decks was really nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!

Great family accommodation with good facilities & lovely decks with a view of the ocean. Weather was only so so this year, but we still had a good time. It is so beautiful and relaxing there.

This unit is in an incredible location that has something for everyone. Walk to the beach, Rathtrevor, mini golf, or a pub within minutes. Loved our stay and hope to stay again.

Excellent location as advertised. You can't beat a location so close to the beach and an unexpectedly lovely view from the master bedroom patio. Lots of space for 8-10 people.

The unit is only a couple of steps to the beach and has plenty of beach toys, which were a highlight for my kids! There's one unit and half bathroom at the ground level, the second level is the kitchen, living room and a full bathroom, and the third level has two bedrooms and a shared full bathroom. The master also has a patio which is fantastic in the evenings. Great for groups, but a lot of stairs for those with mobility challenges.

Archie was fantastic to work with, very responsive and helpful to ensure we had an excellent stay. The location is fantastic, the complex is super quiet and private (bring the kids bikes!) with excellent access to the park, beach, and fun activities at Riptide Lagoon up the road.

What a great VRBO experience. The property was exactly as advertised, communication with the owner was quick and easy, and that beach.....! I think that this will be the first of many stays at Tanglewood 18.

What a great spot to wander the beach for hours. Mornings at the beach were calm and peaceful. The unit was well layed out and stocked with all you need for cooking family meals.

Archie is awesome to deal with. Recommend him highly.

Excellent property very close to the beach. Obstructed ocean views, but still very nice. Good value for the money given the size of the condo which is very spacious. Condo has been renovated nicely. Kitchen could stand to use a couple new pots and pans, but is nicely stocked otherwise. Very nice and professional host as well. Definitely would recommend.

The condo was as advertised, excellent location! We found it very relaxing and enjoyable and would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful stay October 2021. The townhome is in a perfect quiet location so close to the beach and the park. There was lots of room for everyone to relax. Townhome had everything we needed for our stay. Wish we could of stayed longer! Looking forward to booking it again for future trips! Thank you

We've been staying with Archie for 5 years now. Our annual beach vacation never disappoints. Archie's place is perfect for a family with kids. It's steps from the beach and Rathtrevor Park. We can't wait to come back again next year :)

This is our second year staying in this unit. We loved it so much we continue to book in advance year to year. Close to the beach, with Archie nearby if any issues come up (none ever have). Modern, clean....we love it.

My family come back everytime because Rathtrevor is such a nice spot and these Tanglewood properties at the bottom of the hill make going to and coming back from the beach so convenient.

We had a great stay - Archie is always helpful with anything needed and we highly recommend a stay here. We love having the large space, the back deck with the picnic table, and the close proximity to Rathtrevor beach. As well, everything is provided, even down to the blender in the kitchen.

This was a lovely property very near the beach. It is well stocked and was a pleasure to stay at. It is on three floors, so there are quite a few stairs, which was find for us. There are several decks with the upper being great for star gazing. The owner was quickly responsive and helpful.

This place is bigger than it looks in the photos. Spacious and comfortable and updated and quiet. It's nice to look off one of the balconies or through the window and be able to peek where the tide is at. Many long walks were enjoyed on the beach and on Rathrevor trails. It's so nice to not have to drag your beach stuff up a hill, it's just a short flat trail from the parking to the beach. If your kids like bunnies there's a million of them in Rathrevor, walk down to the playground area and you'll be spotting them in every direction. Or if you check the tide schedule and walk straight out when it's lowest, you'll be walking through millions of black living sand dollars. Just beautiful

It's become a tradition to visit Tanglewood each summer, and this year did not disappoint. Even though the weather was gloriously hot, this unit stayed cool. The unit is spacious and clean, and we loved the picnic table on the back deck for playing card games and having dinner. It's such a wonderful place! Thank you, Archie!

We had a wonderful stay at this property and plan to make it our first choice for our annual trip to Parksville. The kitchen was well equipped and we never felt the need to eat out. It truly is a home away from home :) With a 2 year old, we really appreciated little things like having beach toys and an outside hose right at the door for cleaning off sand. The close proximity to the beach meant we didn't need a stroller or car to enjoy the space. There is a convenience store at the top of the drive that sells firewood and we enjoyed a couple of beach campfires during our stay. The only thing we weren't able to find in the unit was matches or a lighter. Luckily, my sister was at Unit 19 and she had a lighter for us to use. My only recommendation to the owners is to use fragrance-free laundry detergent on the towels and sheets as the perfume was a little overpowering as we were trying to sleep. We will be back next year!

We had a great time at Archie's place as a family of 4 with kids aged 3 and 1. The third bedroom on the lower level was perfect for our little one who needed dark and quiet to sleep during the day! Kids dishes, toys, puzzles, sand toys all available which was great because we had quite a few rainy days. Steps to the beach, amazing location, probably the best part of the whole trip. Our truck didnt fit in the garage but there is plenty of visitor parking right in front of the condo. Easy drive into town to get whatever you need. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

We went on a girls trip to this property and loved the townhouse. The view was beautiful and it's a very short walk to the beach. The house didn't have many complimentary items like shampoo etc. . or at least we couldn't find them. Otherwise we would strongly recommend this rental.

The townhouse was fantastic, clean, space was beautiful and every bed was super comfortable. We loved the location a one minute walk to the beach so great for families with kids. The host was very helpful with all our questions. I would highly recommend this property for a vacation.
