This house is great for families and the location makes it very special.

There is mold and unfinished walls in closets with mold. Smells like mold throughout. Nice location but place needs remodeling for the price they charged.

Swimming only available during low tide! Very poor access to sand during low tide (climbing over treacherous rocks!) It is really 4 bedrooms which was great! One shower functioned only poorly and water was only super hot or super cold. Management was extremely quick and responsive as I had to ask for the the Keurig which was in their advertisement and I had emailed ahead to be sure it was there. I also had to request a ball for the fusball table. The combination lock to the front door stuck and we couldn't get back in if we left. They were very quick to repair the lock and also repaired the way the door slammed suddenly and quickly every time it was opened!

It is right at the beach. Some of the appliance did not work: coffee grinder and coffer maker. Some concern on safety as the side walk/ stairs open directly to public which allow access to the two master bedrooms. Therefore, the master bedrooms glass slide doors to the backyard need to be locked. However, these slide doors are facing directly to the ocean making it difficult to enjoy fully the openness to the ocean.

This unit has an amazing location and the view is spectacular. However, within the first two days we had to call maintenance several times. The positive side is that maintenance responds immediately and works hard to resolve any issues. As mentioned in previous reviews, do not count on the washing machine. It stinks horribly and I would not put my clothes in it. This unit could use a good cleaning and some updates, it has great bones and could be really special. It's getting older and just needs a refresh. Our stay was ok. Two of the smoke detectors were blaring within the first two days and woke us up at 3am our first night. There was a horrible smell when we first arrived. The master bath shower door was broken and one of the windows in another bedroom has no cover. Again, all issues were resolved quickly, but our first 2 of 4 days were filled with dealing with problems. We ended up having a nice time once we were able to get settled. Hopefully those who stayed after us benefitted from the fixes.

Wonderful scenery but the house has so many issues, I’ll never stay there again. Washer is on the bottom floor in the house and dryer was in the garage on the street level.

First, let me say the property was well appointed and comfortable. It would have been outstanding except for a two BIG security issues. The rear yard and beach is completely unrestricted. Where you would have expected a gate there was NOTHING which meant dogs could get right out to the front of the house and busy residential street/cars. Of course this also means anyone walking down the street can walk right in. This wasn’t ideal but we purchased a doggy gate and propped it up to at least slow the dogs down and it was ok. There are two bedrooms on ground level with access to the yard. The only ventilation in these rooms comes from sliding glass doors to the beach. I wanted the one in my room open at nice to hear the waves and for the breeze, but with the unrestricted yard access, it wasn’t safe. The lock on the slider in the other room didn’t work so it couldn’t be locked at all. For the $ we spent, I was disappointed.

High tide comes right up to the edge of the patio. You have to walk up the street to get onto actual beach, but we didn't care about that, loved sitting on the patio or deck enjoying the surf. The rental was clean and spacious (four bedrooms) but scruffy, as you might expect from a place that's been around for a while. No air conditioning is understandable this close to shore, but the interior has suffered from dampness. A few things were baffling, like lack of ceiling in a bedroom closet with exposed ductwork, insulation, etc., that leaves the space wide open to vermin, though we didn't see any. The fan in one bedroom was so noisy we couldn't operate it at night, which made things uncomfortably warm and sticky even with windows open. There were no outlets in the kitchen for the coffeemaker, toaster, etc., but after texting about it we promptly got a powerstrip. No icemaker. There are two washers inside but dryers are up on a shelf in the small garage, so you have to go outside and into the garage and stand on a step stool to reach them. Bathrooms were clean but evidently haven't been upgraded in years, although placement of big vanities outside two of the bathrooms was helpful. Overall, we're glad we stayed for the ocean but the interior could have been a lot better with some maintenance and upgrades. Note: We didn't see signs about street cleaning and got a $58 ticket one morning for being street-parked.

The location right on the water is amazing. There are panoramic views of the ocean from the upper level which are stunning. The unit itself is rundown and in dire need of a deep cleaning. There was an unbearable mildew smell and dampness in the entire house that makes it feel like you're staying in a basement. The washer is rusted and the doors do not open properly. I had to call the management company to let me in while we waited outside since the front door would not open properly. I will say that the management company is very responsive and helpful. The property just needs to be fixed. I would probably rent another unit with Beachfront Only but would not stay in this particular unit again.

I really enjoyed my stay at this location, the place was even nicer then in the pictures. It was nice to walk down the steps to the ocean although it had a lot of rocks, so water shoes are a must. My daughter preferred to be on more of a sand beach and that was just a walk away. Although there were some issues with the jacuzzi being too hot, or somethings not working like the screen door upstairs, they tried to take care of it right away. I would definitely recommend this location. Waking up to the view of the waves and dolphins playing in the ocean was a treat.I am already going to book for the next year.

Amazing stay! Everyone enjoyed themselves and I loved the view

Our family of five enjoyed our spring break stay at this duplex right on the ocean! There was a family staying in the other half of the duplex above us but because the kitchen/living room is on the top floor, you could not hear them from the bedrooms (located on the first and second floors.) The backyard is also shared but we never happened to use the yard at the same time as the other family, so it was fine. Honestly all the homes are so close to each other that we saw more of the guests staying in the house next door than the ones staying right above us! This is a split level home with lots of stairs so if you have elderly guests I would find another property to better suit their needs. But with our two older children it was fine, and for our 1 year old toddler we just went to Walmart after we got in and grabbed a $15 baby gate to block off the stairs for him. There are actually two washers and dryers with this unit, though the way they are set up is a little odd. There is one washer in the hallway of the very bottom floor (where the master bedrooms are located) and one on the same bottom floor in one of the master bathrooms. However, the two dryers are located all the way outside in the garage. That said, they all worked fine (though the washers are definitely on the older side!) but be sure to bring a laundry bag to haul the laundry back and forth. If you’ve never stayed in Oceanside before you should be aware that all the homes sit above the ocean with a rock barrier between. Most homes (including this one) have concrete steps down to the ocean but depending on the tides (not only the daily high/low tide but the monthly tidal heights as well) you may or may not have beach to access below. On previous stays along this section of the beach we have been able to get down to the sand during low tides, but on this specific stay the tide stayed high enough that even during low tide there was not enough beach to safely access. That said, the pier and a wider section of beach is just a short drive or a decent walk up the road. The home overall was clean and had everything we needed. There are some updates that could be done but also you get what you pay for, and this seemed to be one of the more affordable rentals. You simply can’t beat the ocean views and sound of the waves crashing as you fall asleep!

The Property was very well described, clean, great ocean view and way bigger than we thought it would be. The main dining area was great and versatile and the bedrooms were good size and accommodated a pack and play for an infant no problem.
