We had a wonderful time at the lake house! Geri was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The dock was amazing with the kayaks and canoe. The teens enjoyed fishing and we rented a boat for some extra fun on the lake. Great house for multiple families!

First of all I don’t want this to seem to be an attack on the host. As she seems to be a nice person. With that said. Our experience with house was a little well maybe a bit more than a little disappointing. This house is in need of major TLC from professionals. I will give you a few of the issues we ran into. First the HotTub was inoperable. The electrical in the house was well maybe an unqualified person redid the electrical. Lights flickered, switches didn’t control anything, lights on ceiling fans wouldn’t come on, but the most scary problem is that in a closet was exposed wires. That is just to name a couple of electrical issue we ran into. Then there was the garbage disposal that didn’t work and the sink leaked a lot. The decking around pool and deck needs bunch of attention. Rot is most of the issue. Even to the point I stepped on a step heading to the pool and the board snapped through. The upstairs AC in the afternoons couldn’t keep up to keep the house cool. Climbed to a comfortable 76 degrees if that is what you like on a hot summer day. The entire house is in need of a pressure washing. It’s really bad. The refrigerator upstairs make sure you don’t put much in there it won’t keep it cold. Don’t forget the ice machine doesn’t work either. Despite all the issues we only brought the disposal to the host attention. She asked to put a pot under the sink. Later telling me she would give us a 300.00 credit for that inconvenience. Still waiting on that. Good Luck

This property was wonderful. Plenty of room for 3 couples, my 23 year old son, and two young grand children. There are various areas for family togetherness as well as space to retreat when necessary:) the location is great. Somewhat remote (in a good way) but close to so many things to do. The dock area and lake were amazing. We watched the Margaritaville fireworks from the 2nd story deck on July 4th and 5th. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and well appointed kitchen. Geri, the owner, was very helpful and accessible. True southern hospitality. We would definitely stay again!

This house is definitely a home away from home! So serene and comfortable. The owner thought of everything and truly make you want to stay there forever.
The house is listed as 7 bedrooms but it is only 5 bedrooms. The loft should not be considered a bedroom nor the closet that has beds in it.
All in all, I would go back.

Our family gathered at this property for our Thanksgiving holiday and we enjoyed our stay. Property manager, Geri, was hospitable, communicated with us as often needed and was very accommodating. Property was spacious and lake view relaxing. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation.

A group of 11 of us traveled to Atlanta to witness the Sealmaster Lexus win the championship. The house is an easy drive to the track and was setup really well. We all enjoyed our stay and Geri was a wonderful host! We will definitely rent this house again next year!

The house had multiple spaces for sleeping arrangements for family groups with children. The pool was a big hit with the younger kids. The boat dock was able to fit a rented tritoon. Lake is great!

Great location, and a big house. We had all adults, so some sleeping arrangements were a tad tight, but totally comfortable. Some great rooms for families with kids as well. Deck and lower patio off the back of the home are GREAT views and very comfortable most of the day (sun rises at the front of the house). Location on the lake is convenient to a few marinas for boat rental. 2 kitchens is super helpful, and there are LOTS of kitchen tools. Host is very responsive and quick to help with any questions or issues. 3 private rooms, 1 semi-private room (would be great for family with young kids) and one bunk room, as well as some couch (sleeper) and floor space.
Overall a very pleasant experience - some projects ongoing, would be happy to visit again and see some of the results!

Geri is helpful and easy to get in touch with if problems arise. We are a large group who likes to stay up late. Learning that there is a strict noise ordinance upon arrival was disappointing. That should be clearly noted in the property description. The neighborhood is lovely but the houses are very close together.The pool is quite nice but after the storm it quickly developed an algae bloom and we were unable/unwilling to swim for the rest of our stay. Geri did contact us and gave updates about the situation but it never resolved. Geri does all she can to maintain the property but it is need of serious maintenance, as mentioned in previous comments. The checkout procedures are in a binder and not on the VRBO website That’s when you discover you can be charged large fees for not closing up the property. We did our due diligence but that should be disclosed before booking the property. Overall we were disappointed with our stay and we won’t be returning.

We rented this place because of all the amenities listed to keep the kids happy. The kayaks were the biggest hit, along with the huge water float, the pool, piano, pool table and popcorn maker. This place has every gadget you can imagine. I also appreciated that the owner supplied things like paper towels and napkins and garbage bags and spices galore for cooking. If you are older (I am 76) and have trouble walking, you might find the walk down to the dock challenging. The kids did just fine. The stairs up or down inside the house are steep, so I only navigated those once a day and stayed on the main floor. We also had deer walking down the road and feeding at the house across the street, and in the morning, coffee on the upper deck allowed you to watch the bird activity.

There were ten of us, 6 adult couples and 4 teens/young adults. The house is right on the water, and the kids enjoyed fishing from the dock most days. We had amazing weather!
The house worked well for our needs, with 3 king bedrooms as well as 3 others. The two kitchens came in very handy for a large group.
Geri was a fantastic host— very responsive to all our needs. All in all we had a wonderful week.

The house was very convenient to Road Atlanta. It was great for cooking and entertaining. The smoker was like new and did a great job. Gerri was a great hostess!

Plumbing backed up Sat night and owner refused to call in emergency service for plumbing to fix problem. Owner tried to fix herself and at 1 am, after many hours of her plunging and snaking plumbing, we had to ask her to leave since she wasn't getting plumber in anytime soon. She did get toilet on 1 lever fixed, but not on other 2 levels. We could not flush toilet or shower without it backing up into showers and tubs. Multiple families had to leave and go to a hotel and many had to cut trip short and went home early. Also....
Pool was listed as heated, but wasn't heated.
Fire Pit on main lever deck was out of propane and we had to seek out and change tank.
We had to put BBQ together to use it, making our big Sat dinner late and frustrating.

Any chance to be together with our children and our grandchildren is another opportunity to make precious memories, which we did. This is a beautiful house, and there is ample room to all be together or to find space for privacy. The swimming pool and the lake provided much entertainment, and the fishing was good, as well. Great Property
Geri is a fantastic hostess…property has multiple “hang-out spots” including a gorgeous pool and great dock. Plenty of toys available. Easy trip to Buford which has everything you might need for your stay food/alcohol needs. Great grill/smoker as well. We were easily able to host 15 or more people. Could probably use a few updates but that’s a very minor issue. Highly recommend this property.

A very comfortable house for all ages. Lots of lake “toys”. Canoe, kayaks, and floats.
Easy distance to other places we wanted to go. Grandma, daughters and grands had a wonderful week together. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub too.

Great vacation
My family of 12 was visiting for a wedding and we decided to rent a house for a week. This was the first time I have used VRBO . The house was great and Geri is a wonderful person. If we needed anything, she was right there. Kids always had something to do and the house is located in a cove. Big windows to view the water and it was nice waking up with such a great view. There was plenty of room in the house. We really enjoyed the pool and dock. My siblings were jealous because their houses that they rented were crappy. So next time we visit Georgia, they want to rent this house. I would definitely rent this house again.

Could use some work
Geri was easy to communicate with. Not sure if it was because it wasn’t season. But a lot was tore up and not finished, tile in house, cabinets in outside pool area were all pulled out and wires everywhere. Pool was not clean. Air hockey barely worked and very small. Dishwasher plumbing leaked through to downstairs. She did her best to make things right. Just make sure repairs are completed before renting.

Great family location!
We visited with our multi-generational family that ranged from 7-75 years of age. There were plenty of activities for the kids and adults throughout the house. We visited in January during a cold front, so the temperatures outside were not conducive to lake activities. So to have the games and other amenities available in the house was a blessing! Geri is very quick to answer our calls for assistance.
This is definitely a house to visit! Would love to come back during the warmer months to enjoy the outside amenities!

Worked well for our situation
Nice house, but the heat downstairs didn't work and it was cold! Geri was quick to get space heaters, but she was not really prepared for us to arrive at 5:30pm on schedule. Comfortable beds and beautiful weather! Thank you for being available for our needs.

Great location and lots of space, but home needs quite a bit of TLC
We are a group of 9 cheerleaders and 3 adults that stayed here 2 nights. There is plenty of room to sleep and eat. Pool was great, however neighbors will not tolerate any noice close to 11pm. We tried to accommodate that and made sure girls were inside by then. If you are looking for a place without noise restrictions, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The furnishings and house interior overall work, however, needs to be fixed and possibly replaced. Many items look like there was temporary fixes to last maybe a few more stays but could break very easily. However, overall it suited our needs. Girls had a great time. Geri was very sweet who lives right next door. The lake of course is beautiful. Hoping this home gets a renovation, as we love the location and would stay if improvements were made.

Something for everyone
This house was great for our needs. It had a lot of little extras. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it had been "rented a lot" and some of the appliances, kitchen items, etc were what you would expect from a well used rental.
Neighbors are sensitive to noise after 11PM but host was gracious and helpful throughout our stay.

Week at Lanier
This is our 4th year coming as a group of relatives and our kids. This house and location did not disappoint! Geri was a fabulous host. There were household problems that happened, as they do anywhere, and she was quick to get them fixed. Would stay here again.

Lake living
Excellent property for large groups with varies interests. Having the lake, pool and local shopping gave everyone an option on how to spend their time. The property also provides separate areas on entertainment around the pool, outside patios, down stairs entertainment area, living room, loft and lake side deck. Host was very attentive to our questions before and during stay.
