We loved our week here. The house had everything we needed. Dick was super attentive to our inquiries. The kayaks were very fun and easy to use. Although this property was in a residential neighborhood it was very private and quiet.

Dick does a great job to make his home accommodating. Just a great place to spend a week on the Cape.

Our large family had a wonderful stay at deep pond. The location is easy to access old silver beach and downtown Falmouth. The owners are very attentive and provide everything you need!

Can’t imagine a more beautiful and peaceful place for a family gathering. Deep Pond is surrounded by beautiful woods and crystal clear. Great spot for swimming and kayaking or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. The house is lovely, comfortable and welcoming.

Our experience was great! We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable at the home. It was a perfect place for our family to gather for a relaxing week on Cape Cod with plenty of space for everyone.

This was our second time at Dick’s lovely vacation home. Once again, we had a wonderful time. We so enjoyed the mornings with sunrise over the pond and having a cup of coffee overlooking this serene view. Our family loved kayaking on the pond. The pond was quite warm and very easy to get into to swim. One of our dogs learned to swim in the pond during the week, which was fun to watch. Our granddaughter enjoyed wading into the pond and playing in the sand We had plenty of room to spread out in the home, which is so comfortable. One of our family members had to work during the week, and the lower level provided a perfect, quiet space for him. During the week, we spent many afternoons on the beautiful bike path. We are looking forward to returning again next year!

Before we arrived, Dick had provided more information about the house than I’ve ever received before. I loved it! House was clean and very well stocked with nearly everything we needed. We all adored the kayaks and ping pong table. Quiet, private location was great. Beds were wonderful. All in all, it was a truly great vacation.

The house lived up to our expectations: there was plenty of room and we found everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and our access from the house couldn’t have been better. It’s a lovely neighborhood with friendly people and we felt very comfortable there. Most importantly, 15 year old Goldendoodle especially loved the opportunity to swim every day!

Our family had an amazing week at this house. The house is comfortable and has plenty of room to accommodate a group but you can also find a quiet corner to read. The kayaks and canoe made for hours of fun and we all loved the outside deck for coffee in the morning. Dick and Joan were great hosts. Very accommodating and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Well-appointed, family-friendly house on peaceful and beautiful Deep Pond. 10-min drive to town/beaches. Children enjoyed swimming and paddling all day while the adults joined the fun or watched from the dock. Fenced in yard made it so easy to bring our four-legged friends with us! No detail left forgotten. Dick was a communicative and thoughtful host -- would highly recommend!

Lovely Quiet neighborhood w/pond in back and kayaks to use also! Convenient on the Cape to Old Silver Beach (great for small kids at low tide) -Kayaking on a quiet morning while the kids were still sleeping was great escape for the occasional parent - close enough to one end of cape or another to either go to great zoo or up to P town for a whale watch - there's even a small farm nearby to get fresh eggs and pick berries - Family meals to talk about days ventures were easy enough to coordinate - This home hit all the check marks and is comfortable and easy to cook evening meals in or grill out back. I would love to come back with a different bunch to check out some of the breweries, dining options and shopping next time - thanks for great memories!

A wonderful time was had by our entire family at your lovely home. The location was ideal for visiting the beaches, and seeing the local sights. We loved the proximity to the bike trail and enjoyed our visit to the local Coonamessett Farm where we picked strawberries and flowers. There were great running trails through local nature preserves as well. Your house was always an ideal spot to return home to after our activities. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out in the house and the younger generation enjoyed a competitive game of Ping-Pong in the lower level. Our dog loved his daily swim in the pond to fetch a tennis ball or a stick. The kayaks were great giving us a good view of the rest of the pond. We spent much time in the morning with a coffee cup in our hands, looking out at the sun glistening off the pond with a chorus of bird songs in the background. Since the morning sun created a silvery appearance to the water (and with Old Silver Beach in our thoughts), we nicknamed your home “On Silver Pond”. We truly loved the family pictures that were all over the home as it made the rental house truly a home. In addition, you are a wonderful artist, and your paintings were beautiful. (In fact, my daughter wondered whether you sold any of them or made prints of them.) Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We will definitely be back!

The house was clean and comfortable with all of the amenities we needed. We loved the location and view of the pond. We spent most mornings on the deck and took several walks through the neighborhood during our stay. The house had a ton of room (more than we needed) and we had some great laughs playing ping pong. It was a bit too chilly for kayaking for us but we loved the idea and hope to visit again when it’s warmer to enjoy the pond even more. The owner was kind, helpful and attentive throughout our stay. This all made for a great vacation!

We loved our time at Dick's beautiful Deep Pond Retreat! Great location, comfy beds, well-appointed home, tons of space. The house was clean and had everything needed for pups and people alike. Although weather didn't allow for much in the way of recreation on it, the pond was beautiful amd peaceful,, and we found several great dog friendly hikes in the area. A rainy day spent in quaint Falmouth village and Mashpee Commons perfectly scratched our shopping itch. This property is tuly a gem and Dick is a gracious and accommodating host. I hope we can come back in warmer weather to enjoy this special retreat.

This was the perfect house for my friends and I to enjoy. The house is huge, with multiple bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom) and was the right size for our group of 9. Even though the basement doesn’t have heat, we still hung out down there and enjoyed the ping pong table. The house is very nicely kept up and well decorated. The owner’s paintings are beautiful! We found a hiking trail nearby, and even used the kayaks on a warm day! The owner was very communicative and easy to reach when we had questions. Would love to visit again in the summer.

Spent Thanksgiving week during Covid with our immediate family of 5. On one of our hikes we found wild cranberries and picked some for our Thanksgiving feast, and even saw a flock of turkeys right outside the house on Thanksgiving! The house was perfect! Clean, tons of room to spread out, beds comfortable, heat worked well, kitchen had all the essentials and the view of the lake from the house divine! We were lucky that the weather was warm enough so we got to make use of the kayaks. Deep Pond is a lovely lake and it was so relaxing paddling around. The house is in a great location as it is close to the town of Falmouth and to lots of hiking trails. I would highly recommend this house and we are hoping to come back and stay during the summer when we can really make use of the lake!

We had a wonderful time. The house was bigger and better than pictured. The water was very clean as well. We all enjoyed the art work and everyone had their favorite.

We loved our stay! The house was actually much bigger than expected. There were 9 of us, including 5 teenagers, and we were able to spread out and have some privacy! We LOVED the pond! We spent almost every day kayaking, canoeing and floating on the pond and visiting with the ducks. We also loved the outdoor shower after the long day on the pond! A very relaxing stay in which we had everything we needed. The house was also decorated with the owner's family pictures and his very own artwork. There is total pride in this property. We would love to stay again!

Perfect family getaway with easy access to all Falmouth has to offer. So nice to come back after a day of biking and take a dip in the pond or just relax in the hammock. House layout made it easy for family time and for everyone to have privacy in their rooms.

What a great area. The house was awesome and relaxing. You felt tucked away while at the house but still had so many things to do and see in the area. This was our second year and it was everything we wanted. The owner is always available to answer questions and the property easily accommodates our extended family, including the new dog. We would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Our family of 10 (2 grandparents, 2 daughters and husbands, 4 granddaughters) have been visiting the Cape as a family for 8 summers. We took a vote as to the best of the 8, and the Deep Pond Retreat won hands-down! It was the most relaxing week we have ever had. The sons-in-law and 4 granddaughters fished the week away, loving every minute on the pond. The house lent itself beautifully to great family time. Board games and cards kept us up past midnight every night. No need for the TV ever. Each of us had private time to read on the deck at the house, do our puzzles, or sit down by the pond and appreciate the beauty and the quiet. Walks in the neighborhood were delightful. We found everything we needed or wanted in the nearby villages. Downtown Falmouth is beautiful and quaint. We made great memories during this wonderful week, and we thank you. The stay at Deep Pond was a dream come true for our family. There were ten of us and we felt the layout and roominess of the home gave all of us plenty of space to interact well with each other. The children enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the pond. It was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and a friendly feel good atmosphere. I would love to return.

Spent the week with my 4 grown kids and their partners and this house was perfect. Everyone had a great time. Relaxed and enjoyable for all. Loved being able to bring our sweet dog with us. It was an ideal setting and wonderful home. Highly recommend it!

This was our 2nd time renting Deep Pound House. As with the 1st time the place was very clean and had everything you would need to enjoy a week on the Cape. The setting is quiet, and the view of the lake is wonderful. The neighbors are very friendly and the house is in close driving proximity to markets, shops, and Falmouth Village. The fishing in Deep Pond is awesome. They also have kayaks renters can use. The owner is very responsive should you have any questions. If you're looking for a quiet, roomy, beautiful home for your family's vacation, I would definitely recommend this house.

If you're looking for a place to spend a relaxing week and packed with things to do, this is the place to stay! This lakefront home is beautiful and its location is super nice! Everything you need is available in this home and very comfortable with modern appliances. Loved the ping pong table, which got a lot of use! Very pleasant and quiet neighborhood makes you feel like you're in a secluded location. The lake is beatiful and teaming with aquatic life. Water quality is superb and with the kayaks/boats available the whole family can enjoy the lake at the same time. Our family vacations every year and I have to say this is the best place we have stayed so far. Looking forward to returning next year!!
