Our family of six enjoyed this beautiful home with beautiful views of the marsh and sunsets!! The house allowed us to feel like we were at home and comfortable. We walked to blocks to the beach, which was not crowded like the Pier. The owner provided recommendations for dinner and ideas to explore in Charleston. We will be back and will stay here again.

My friends and I are Charleston locals and decided to have a Folly Beach staycation for Labor Day. We had the time of our lives. Along with what others are saying, the pictures in the listing are super dated, probably 10+ years old. The interior has been updated since the pictures were taken (larger TV in living room, updated rugs, bedding etc). The biggest perk was the private dock. We spent 80% of our time there. Coffee in the morning, swimming and sunbathing during the day, and then dinner and sunsets in the evenings. Perfect dolphin watching spot. It was truly magical. Beach is a 5 minute walk. Downtown to the bars/restaurant about a 20 minute walk. Bikes, fishing poles, kayaks in the garage. Already want to come back next year!

Great location! Dock provided great place to fish, crab, and kayak! Easy walk to the beach for sunrise and great sunsets from the house. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Only issue we had were some of the lights in the house needed new bulbs but everything else worked great.

This property is great for fisherman and beach dwellers alike. Close to beach access and the deep water dock with crab trap was such a delight. Far enough back that you don’t deal with the hustle and bustle from the main strip. Never heard another person while we were there. It was seclusion at its finest. We went for a family birthday with 6 adults and had plenty of room.

Beautiful views of the marsh/river from a lovely, quiet property that is wonderfully appointed. A perfect place for our family and dear friends to gather and celebrate a birthday! Convenient to downtown Charleston and the beach.

We had an amazing time at Folly River! Only 20 minutes from Charleston and great views of the river. Folly beach is only a two block walk too!

Great location, beautiful property! Our kids didn’t want to leave.

Unfortunately we had many engagements in Charleston for our son’s ring ceremony at The Citadel but the house and location was incredible. We wished we had more time to spend on the property.

We enjoyed our stay so much! It was quaint, has amazing views 24/7 and the house was bigger than it expected and was located off the beaten path. We definitely would stay here again. The pictures on here don’t do it justice. Nothing like looking to your right and seeing Morris.

From booking to checking in to enjoying a MOST PERFECT STAY, we couldn't be happier with our experience. The mosquitos were a HUGE surprise for this California coastal family--so bring the bug spray! The house was clean and having our own private dock to walk on and fish off of was so fun for the kids. Perfect location to be by the beach and downtown Charleston while not being in the center of the city. ❤️

The pictures don’t capture the beautiful low country setting of the house on the Folly River or reflect how close it is to the beach. This property has something for everyone in your party: fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking on the river; surfing or swimming in the ocean; reading or relaxing on the screen porch; cooking in the spacious kitchen. We plan to return again in 2023!

Third year in a row and looking forward to next year!!! Pat is a great landlord and his home is so great. We have been coming since Covid started and three years later we still look forward to our family vacation. Such great fishing off the dock and just a short walk to the beach.

Would definitely rent again

What a cool place! There was plenty of room for two families and would have been enough room even if another family had joined us. The views of the river were amazing and we enjoyed fishing off the dock in the evening. My 3 year old easily handled the short walk to the beach and it was nice to be so close to find back and forth as we needed. I loved the privacy and seclusion that this property offered. A bit off the beaten path, yet close enough to enjoy everything easily! Very responsive and kind property owner as well. Will definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved the seclusion of the place! Beach was an easy 3 blocks from the house. Beach chairs to borrow would have been nice. We found some beach towels left behind which were appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
