One of the best VRBO homes in all our experiences. Kathy is a wonderful, thoughtful host. The location is tranquil but yet so close to the village. I would give it 10 stars ⭐️ not 5!

The home was spacious, beautiful and inviting.
Kathy had decorated for Christmas and it made our holiday memorable.
The house and grounds had beautiful artistic touches throughout.
The beds were super warm and cozy. The kitchen was extremely well appointed.
The setting was beautiful and it was so quiet. What a wonderful place to rejuvenate. I loved it!

The house was perfect and very clean. Location was great and the property is loverly with all the trees. Kathy was very helpful and responded right away to our questions and suggested some great restaurants.

House was as advertised. Had everything we need for our 5 night stay. On a hill, so had a nice sunny patio vs houses near the creek that didn't get much sun. Kathy and Tony were a breeze to work with. Will definitely consider when we head to the Monterey peninsula again.

This property was very nice. Unfortunately, the homeowner lived across the driveway. She could not have been anymore difficult to deal with. I had rented the place but I told my brother he could have some family members over for pizza to catch up. We did have more people than expected but we were very respectful of the property. The homeowner was going to cancel our reservation. When we got home from the wedding, it was like she waiting for us. We were barely out of the car when she was yelling at us to be quiet. I will never rent a property where the homeowner is on site. She was a little too unreasonable.

The hosts Kathy and Tony made life so easy for us. Check was a breeze and their home was so fully stocked and comfortable it couldn’t have been any better. What a lovely place to stay! Perfect perfect perfect!

Our family of 5 from the East Coast stayed 4 nights at Life Is Good. It was a perfect launch pad for our many adventures. We enjoyed the art, flora, and fauna; cooked delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen; and explored the local farmer's market and quirky shops, in addition to touring the blockbuster coastal attractions.

The property was just as pictured, tucked away in Carmel Valley off the beaten path. We had a deer come up to our window one morning, and many birds joined us on the patio. Lots of nice outdoor spaces for sitting with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. We were a family of four and both of my teens were able to have their own room, which was great. Beautiful tile and eclectic and charming art throughout the house. Kathy was very responsive and eager to accommodate us. Overall it is a nice place to get away from it all. Very clean and everything working as it should be.

I couldn’t rave enough about the home and hosts. Exceptionally kind and thoughtful hosts at a gorgeous home in a beautiful setting. I’m not usually a repeat visitor to rentals but my family and I are already talking about return visits. Thank you for making the weekend so special and easy! Very clean and comfortable and the extra touches made it even more memorable!

This well-appointed residence is a comfortable art-filled home a short distance from Carmel Village. It is a private, country setting that is not far from Pt Lobos, Carmel, and Monterey. Convenient and good restaurants are nearby in Carmel Valley. We loved the creekside outside spaces. Appreciated the cleanliness of the home.

This was a great home to stay in with our preschool age kids and our nanny while attending my brother’s wedding. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. There were toys provided in addition to the outdoor space to keep our kids entertained while we were at the wedding.

This place was perfect for us as a central location. We were in the area for a wedding in Big Sur, but we also spent time up in Monterrey and on the beaches around Carmel. Our hosts were more than gracious and communicated with us regularly to make sure everything was just right for us. Also, the local restaurants are great. We especially liked the Trailside Cafe and Plaza Linda.

We were greeted with a charcuterie plate made by Kathy at their beautiful escape up on the hillside. It was a joy to stay there and she was extremely helpful returning an item left behind. Would absolutely recommend! Thank you!

We rented the VRBO for our children they are our adult children and they liked the decorations but the beds were uncomfortable and the experience wasn’t pleasant for them in fact one couple left early and we were all disappointed that they didn’t enjoy the atmosphere more

Attending a wedding at Bernardus, needed a place for four of us to stay. This pretty and comfortable house was as perfect base, 10 minutes from wedding, five minutes to Carmel Valley village with it's stores and restaurants. Nice hikes available nearby.

This is a great place to getaway and reconnect with family. It is close to Carmel so it doesn't take long if you want to go there. The house is lovely and well appointed. Kathy's artistic touches are beautiful.

Succulents everywhere, which I love and a great deck, very quiet and peaceful! The tile in the stairway and the downstairs bath are so cute. The owners are great, we didn't see them but they live right next door and they left snacks for our arrival. Great place to stay if you need something in Carmel Valley!

It was easy to rent Kathy’s place. The property was just as described with the exception of a washer ( there was a dryer). The location is gorgeous but further out than I thought, not being familiar with the area, but still only a short drive to shopping and restaurants. It was a wonderful place to explore for our 3 yr old grandson and there are lots of creeks. Tough to get into the one playground we found but we did eventually locate an entrance.

Cozy, relaxing time in the hills
Lovely property and surroundings. Very clean, fun decor and well-equipped kitchen. Host was very welcoming. We walked down the hill to Carmel Valley to enjoy the restaurants and wine-tasting. Great location.
