We could not have been happier with this property. It was a short walk down to Madera beach, and a short walk down the other side for our excellent morning coffee. The lovely property manager helped us with our PCR tests, helped us with planning an excursion, and was generally available and happy to help with any request, and answer any questions. The owner of the property was also helpful, and quick to respond to a few questions before our trip. There is air conditioning I believe, but it was never necessary because of some ceiling fans, and a fairly steady ocean breeze that made the atmosphere delightful. I don't want to say too much - I hope it might be available next time we visit!

Great apartment, wonderful indoor/outdoor living space. We have a wonderful time here for out week week stay.

It was an awesome base to explore the Zihua area. 78 steps down to the beach, close to town, beaches, restaurants and shops. Nice guest booklet to orient visitors to the area. Appreciated the security. Beautiful pool. Visiting Zihau again after almost 30 years and were thrilled to feel the same feeling present in the area. The Paseo to town is a great addition. Sailfest folks making a fine contribution to the community.

Location was great. Walking distance to everything we needed. City Centro, Market, shops, pool, beach. The condo was very functional with fabulous view. Kitchen has good counter space but appliances and kitchen tools could use an upgrade. We made good use of the electric frying pan. Would stay again.

The proximity to both a great beach and a great town centre are what makes staying at La Madera so wonderful. In this unit, the breeze from the ocean during the day and from the hills through the grill door at night make the living room comfortable. The bedrooms have air conditioning. The view is great and all the necessary kitchen equipment is there. Beach bags and beach towels were an unexpected bonus. The manager, Carmen, was always helpful. It takes 1 - 2 minutes to walk up the steps from beach for a moderately fit person. The pool is only one flight down . Highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay. The condo view, convenient location, amenities and overall comfort level are outstanding. The building is secure and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

The view was spectacular and location was perfect. The space was described accurately and was more than enough for the two of us. The proximity to the market and downtown was a wonderful way to investigate this beautiful Mexican community.

My husband and I stayed with our two girls(17 & 11).Everything was perfect! We will definitely be returning. We always felt safe. Our girl could swim in the pool while we took in the view from Lanai. The condo has a safe provided, but never felt the need to use it. The guard was so accommodating on ordering cabs for us when we needed it. All the locals you’re so willing to share helpful information on the surrounding area. Highly recommended this for your next vacation

Our stay was very pleasant. The property has an excellent view and is convenient to Zihua as well as Playa Madeira. The A/C was welcome and the pool was a necessity due to temps & humidity in the summer. Property security was 24/7 and the neighborhood quiet. We will come back.

Let me start by saying that the property is exactly as described. It's centrally located on Playa Madera, walking distance to everything. The unit is in a secure and 24-hour guarded building, the pool is fantastic and well maintained and the views are breathtaking. We had plenty of space, loved being there and would go back. On the con side: The communication with the owner was difficult and we never got (even after reaching out to him on email) check-in instructions via text, the ap nor on email and had to call him after arriving at the airport. That was frustrating, and he had us call someone else to find the unit and get check-in instructions (so everything was verbal with non-English speaking cab drivers). If we didn't speak Spanish, this would have been pretty difficult. That being said, he did apologize, his site manager was fantastic, and we loved our stay. It wouldn't keep me from staying here again, I would just make darn sure I reached out to the owner a couple of days in advance. The unit is not brand new, but has everything you could ask for, fully equipped to cook- just bring food (check out the market, it's WELL worth the visit). The hammocks are a dream, the day bed and queen bed are super comfortable, there is an in-room safe, the security staff could not be nicer and you're on vacation! Enjoy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The ocean views & breezes are spectacular. Carmen was there awaiting our arrival and went above & beyond for us, even helping us find a carpenter to make a special box for artwork we purchased. It’s a special place and there is a team of attendants ready at your service. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! It’s paradise.

Very nice place! With the totally open view you feel like the bay is inside the unit! Very well appointed. Carmen is great and very helpful. That said., there are two steps for anyone who has trouble with them. The bathroom is one step higher than the bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Very nice experience overall!

While it's been a few months since our stay at La Casa de Rosario, and we had hoped to keep this gem a secret, our better judgement (need to share) prevailed. My best friend and I celebrated our 50 years of friendship by staying here the first two week of April, 2018. Right from the start, the owners, Chris and Deb were helpful in our planning. The welcome packet they provided us with was by far the most through and thoughtful one we have ever received. Not only did it assist us in getting familiar with the condo, but gave us a ton of information on the history, surrounding area, shopping, sights, etc. Carmen Nunez, the Property Manager and her staff could not have been more helpful. Carmen provided us with helpful information, was patient with our many questions and was always available by phone if we needed her (which we are happy to report we did not!) Her kind an easy manner helped us feel very "cared for" and her entire staff could not have been any more patient while assisting to our needs. La Casa de Rosario is a jewel. Beautiful, airy, comfortable, quiet (except for the waves that will lull you to sleep), with everything we would need and no detail was left behind. They even had a nice "in house" library which we fully took advantage of! We found everything within walking distance. Would highly recommend getting up early and heading down to "Centro" to watch the fishing boats come in; quite an awesome experience. While there are several restaurants close by that our excellent, our favorites were "El Arraayan" and Porto Di Mare. The fish market, and surrounding food markets has everything you need with the help of La Rana (half block away) to create your own fresh meals. Shopping was awesome! This condo and it's surrounding community is a very special place. Our plan is to return as soon as we are able. When Carmen first opened the door and said "Welcome to Paradise," she nailed it. Our sincere "Thank You" to Chris and Deb for the privilege of allowing us to stay in their piece of Paradise.

We really enjoyed our stay in Casa de Rosario. The owners provided the most complete and useful information package that we have ever encountered. The kitchen was functional and the beds were comfortable with nice soft pillows. The ever changing view of sea and cruising boats was entertaining. We enjoyed swimming in the sea and the pool. The service in Bahia Suites was friendly and accommodating. If in Zihua again we would definately try to stay here as the location is close to a beach but also walking distance to town.

We just returned from two weeks in La Casa de Rosario, the suite name for Chris Kelly's unit in Bahia Suites. The location is stunning as the living area is open to Zihuatanejo Bay and you can hear the surf all day long. Carmen, the building manager, met us when we arrived and showed us the unit. She gave us a tour of other units in the building including the two penthouses. She also gave us tips on places to go like Las Gatos where we took a water taxi from the centro pier. The building overlooks the beach although you have to walk down 92 easily negotiated steps to get to it. Once on the beach, the servers from the restaurant of your choice bring an umbrella and lounge chairs where you can stay all day or for just a few hours. The unit itself is spacious and has two bedrooms facing the bay. Chris left a comprehensive guide for us listing restaurants, maps and things to do. The pool is one level down from the unit and every morning it was practically our own private pool. The guests who stay in the building are either owners or regulars and we met many pleasant people. There are many small restaurants just down the steep hill in front of the building. We usually ate on the sidewalk tables or just in front of the restaurant. The centro is a ten minute walk over a footbridge where we found markets, fishermen, restaurants and retail shops. We enjoyed returning to the casa after our walks to cool off. The unit has five ceiling fans and two air conditioners and the bedroom cools down nicely after a few minutes. We have already booked with Chris for next year and are excited to return after our experience at this fabulous place!

The first thing that we were greeted with as we walked through the front door was the warm rush of ocean air through the entirely open-air kitchen and living area of this condo. At first I was caught off guard, but very quickly fell in love with the openness this provided! The rooms close off and have air conditioning (which worked perfectly) if you need to cool off a little. But being able to come out in the morning to the crashing waves and watch the sunrise was so magnificent! This condo is extremely well stocked and maintained. The pool area, while small compared to some, was ample, even over the extremely busy holiday season. Town is only a 10-15 min walk, giving you easy access to all the fabulous restaurants Zihua has to offer. And the beach is right at the bottom of the stairs outside the condo with access to beachfront restaurants, massages, boogie boards, paddle boarding etc. We usually stay in Ixtapa but decided to try something different. This condo made us fall in love with Zihua and we may never stay in Ixtapa again.........

This property was perfect for us. We loved the open air in the living space and the air conditioning in the bedroom at night was required at this time of year. 92 stair steps to the beach where the many beach restaurants served delicious and inexpensive meals. 1 hour good massages for 200 pesos were right there! I have stayed at many fancy condos and hotels in Ixtapa, I prefer this authentic real and humble Mexico experience!

We have stayed in this building a few times before but never in this unit. Love, Love, Love the location!! You can walk absolutely anywhere in town in less than 20 minutes. La Casa de Rosario is street level ( a blessing after walking up the hill) and has a fantastic view. It was terribly hot while we were there in October and the air-conditioning was a godsend. Beds are extremely comfy, water pressure in the shower is strong, l beach towels are plentiful and Carmen is there to help with whatever you need. Pool and grounds are kept extremely clean. Was nice to have a local phone for restaurant or massage reservations. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Chris and Deb and we hope to return to Zihua - and this unit again soon.

Chris the owner was very prompt with all correspondence and has a wealth information about the area and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Carmen the property manager met us as the condo and throughly explained everything we needed to know about the condo and also met us when it was time to check out. The condo is in a great location and in walking distance to the beach boardwalk, great restaurants and shopping. The condo has security, very nice pool and the unit itself is very cute and wow, what a view. I would definitely recommend this place for your stay.
