I am terrible about planning ahead of time and decided I wanted to go to the beach with my family of 4 and one of my kiddo's friends for the 4th about a week beforehand. I love the idea of having a house on the beach, but that is so hard to find so we usually have to stay at the not-so-appealing hotels along the beach. I decided to try searching for a house rental and came across this listing. I thought I would take a chance and hoped the description of the view was true....and it was! We walked in and were entranced with the beauty of the large windows and the gorgeous ocean! I loved the lighthouse off in the distance, too. This place just felt so comfortable and I spent many hours between the deck chairs and the indoor chairs facing the large windows towards the ocean in meditation mode or reading. It was splendid and so very relaxing. We spent the actual 4th just a short drive away at Yaquina Bay. I loved the little touches, like the otters in the shower tiles and the porthole window in the master bath. It was very cool, and I will definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay! The view was amazing and the short walk down to the beach was perfect for our younger kids. They loved the loft and there was plenty of space for us. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, they even had a blender and we made smoothies. Quiet street and easy to get anywhere along the coast. Great tidepools at the beach that was walking distance too!

Thank you for such a great weekend! The house was exactly as advertised and the view was 10x better! We were visiting for graduation weekend in Corvallis and the choice to end our day overlooking the ocean was perfect. Morning walks on the beach were great too. Thank you again!! Go Beavs!

We were fortunate to book this house on relatively short notice. The views from the living room and deck are incredible. While the floor plan is a bit cozy, the overall experience was fantastic. The listing is accurate and the hosts were responsive. The only drawback (and it’s a minor one) is the short walk to the beach access.

As described in the listing, this house is a cozy house, perfect for our group of 3. It has a 180-degree view of the ocean, with incredible sunsets. Very conveniently located right in Newport, to many attractions, restaurants, etc... The house had all the conveniences of home, including a well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and renovated bathrooms. The day we arrived we had unusually warm weather. With no air conditioning, and only minimal coverings on the plate glass windows, it was very warm in the house. At one point it was 82 degrees in the house, and no real way to cool it down. Fortunately, the main bedroom has a sliding glass door, so it was cooler. The other 2 bedrooms were cooler as they were on the east side of the house. It would've been be nice if the windows had screens, so that we could have kept windows open to cool the bedrooms. overall, a lovely, convenient home.

This home was great! It was exactly as described and offered everything we needed for a girl's trip and weekend getaway. The sunset and ocean view were amazing! It was the perfect weekend getaway.

We loved the view! Kids loved the loft. Comfy beds. Nice kitchen. Curtain over the sliding door would be good as the sun was in our eyes a couple dinners. Netflix was logged out but we brought our own dvds to play on our laptop (dvd players must be a thing of the past). Overall, we would stay here again. Thanks!

We were so impressed with the home and our stay was amazing. The furnishings and remodel of the home are top notch. The views can't be beat. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Newport Beach!

We got the perfect weather to help us enjoy Thanksgiving week in Newport, OR. Being perched up high on the shoreline allowed the best views from the house. Walks on the beach were a daily routine. Our family discussed when we could find time to revisit the same location. It was an excellent trip for us.

The moment we walked into the full view of the beautiful Pacific ocean, I knew we were in for an incredible weekend. I didn't want to leave the deck or the front room. We had every type of weather, from warm sunshine, to sideways wind and rain, but it was all spectacular from this home! It was a very short walk to the beach. I can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful time at this house. It’s the ideal beach house- close to everything, but it’s in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. It has an amazing ocean view, and beach access within walking distance. We even got to enjoy the deck (in November!) when the sun came out for a bit. Everything was clean and well maintained. The owner was very responsive to text messages when we had an issue. The only thing we felt the house needed was window coverings for the living room windows. It was a little uncomfortable to be in the living room at night with the lights on. It was especially odd that the windows that face the ocean have coverings, but not the windows that face the neighbor’s house. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back!

We have stayed at this beautiful house several times over the last several years, somehow each time it gets better and better! The view doesn’t get more perfect, the house setup allows guests to enjoy the ocean even when the weather doesn’t cooperate or when the littles need to take a nap. The location is quiet yet close enough to all the great things in Newport. The owners are fantastic, we look forward to each trip and cannot wait to come back!

Very nice property. Appreciated the little added extra touches...more like home instead of hotel. Master bed amazingly comfortable while listening to the ocean lull you to sleep.

What a great place! We didn't cook at all, but the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Location / views were breathtaking. We spent hours counting the whale spouts :-), and I miss falling asleep to the waves.

Absolutely wonderful stay. This is the best vacation home we’ve rented. It was family friendly for our two year old and they had all of the beach toys and gear you could possibly need making it so much easier in terms of packing. We will 100% return with our family, we made so many beautiful memories and thank the host for opening their home to us.

Rental was great with amazing views. Lighthouse was great too. We even saw some Gray Whales!

Our family stayed at the house for week and enjoyed our time. The property is a great location, close to the beach and other activities like Nye Beach and Bayfront. The view was incredible especially at sunset. You can easily reach the beach by using the marked trail or if you didn't want to walk, Nye Beach or Agate Beach access is close by. The house is family friendly. Our kids enjoyed the loft area and playing Life several times.

Wonderful home! Everything as described. Photos are accurate. Very comfortable. The views are fantastic. I loved the port hole window in the primary bathroom! We could see whale spouts out in the ocean and wished we had brought binoculars! Great location in Newport - away from the crowds but also close enough for easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, highways, etc. Fantastic advice from the owners in the instructions. The property was clean and the site was beautiful. We absolutely loved the place. The only missing feature is AC. We were on the hottest day in the day so we had open all the windows and the room was still over 80 degrees.

Lovely, comfortable home. Very quiet location, all you can hear is the ocean. And the ocean is RIGHT there! Really amazing view and the deck is lovely- I’ll need to head back when it’s a bit warmer to truly appreciate it. Beds and all very comfortable. The home is well stocked with everything we could need for our trip. Communication with the owner was quick and the listing was right on. This is a great rental and I would highly recommend.

Our visit to this home was awesome. From the second we walked in and saw the view from the panoramic windows overlooking the ocean, I knew we made the right choice. Clean and comfortable, we enjoy having Thanksgiving with our family here. Beach access was only a few steps away, and we enjoyed the daily walks on the beach and into town. We even were lucky enough to see beautiful sunsets and the King Tides roll in. We'll be back, that's for sure!
