Great house for a family get together!

The Stone Crab house provided the perfect Folly Beach getaway. Located within easy walking distance to the beach, the pier, Bert's market and all of the restaurants/bars, made this a super convenient home base. The home is clean, comfortable, well stocked and provides ample space to be able to spread out and relax. The other unit wasn't occupied, but you would have enough privacy if it was. The underneath space includes a big screen tv w/cable, which was nice to watch football and the hot tub was clean and well maintained. Check in/out is very easy and communication with management is too - they were very responsive and checked in a few times to see how things were going. Roughly 25 minutes to Charleston (airport is a little further), 40 minutes to Isle of Palm's and Sullivan's Island, there was a lot to explore and plenty of things to do. This home is a great value and we would highly recommend it - we'll be back!

The house is great. Lots of space, everything was in great condition, and the bonus room with the grill and hot tub was a hit with our kids. The management was responsive via text and helpful.

Easy. Everything was easy for us (3 couples), from check-in to check-out. And the location made enjoying the Folly Beach area super easy as well. The amenities were great, and we didn't even get to use them all. The hot tub worked well and the common areas were great. Would definitely get this place again.

Pros: - Location is absolutely phenomenal. You are a block away from everything in Folly, including the beach. - Property is beautiful. They've done a good job of keeping the property modern and updated. - Communication from the management company was typically very swift and responsive. Cons: - There was really only one negative, but it was a large one unfortunately that put a damper on our trip. There were no less than 25 palmetto bugs (cockroaches) under the kitchen sink on our trip. It was constant from the first night until the day we left. I reported this immediately and management responded by sending over a maintenance worker to spray. This was ineffective as more appeared the second night than the first. They provided us with spray for the second night. We killed 3 upon our return from Charleston, and sprayed under the sink ourselves. A parade of 10 of them appeared throughout the next 3 hours. After a pest control company treated the unit on the third day, we again saw and killed 4-5 the third night, and another 3 the final night. While the owner offered some payment concessions for the issue (nice gesture but not really enough given the severity of the pests), and communication was responsive, the problem was not solved our entire trip and really effected the comfort of our stay at night. I would recommend the property provided this issue is solved. I would stay there again provided this issue is solved. Just relaying for future tenant transparency.

The unit was perfect for our family trip. There were eight of us who met for this trip. Home was a quick walk to the beach, local shops, and restaurants. The home was just as advertised. The management company was very responsive regarding a couple of minor issues. Would definitely stay again!

Such a lovely house and great location to the beach and most everything else. Got to meet the owners and they were absolutely wonderful. This house was perfect for our weekend. Plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. Great location in Folly beach and not too far to downtown Charleston. Our party of 7 would definitely stay again. My ocean rental was very helpful with before and during our trip. We needed to call maintenance and they responded within ten mins. Have no complaints with the house location or agents. Perfect house for beach vacation; close proximity to shopping and dining!

Overall, it was a decent stay. The property was very clean and the location was perfect. We could even hear the music from Chico Feo from our balcony. However, THERE WERE A FEW FIRE SAFETY concerns. The grill was in desperate need of a deep cleaning as we almost had a grease fire before we even put food on the grill. The location of the grill made this incredibly dangerous as it was located under the house. The other issue was the dryer vent was completely blocked. I requested attention to these issues on a Wednesday and as of Saturday no one had been out to clean or address the problems.

Nice home with great amenities and a fantastic location!! Would highly recommend to large families or several couples looking for a place on the island.

The house was lovely, it has all the kitchen items we needed to cook meals, lots of spaces for socializing or having time to yourself, great location, hot tube was nice , house was central to everything! I would suggest hooks in the bathrooms to dry towels on and a couple of throw rugs at the doors to catch sand. So much of that fine sand came indoors and we swept a few times a day! Concerns: you could see that the dryer vent to the outside was blocked with lint, a little scary, one of the showers didn’t work and there were cockroaches in the seating area under the house. I know they came to spray for those and I appreciate that. I definitely would go back!😍

The Stone Crab house and Property were PERFECT for our family. We Loved it. Would hope it’s available for our next stay at Folly Beach…could not be better anywhere else.

Great location to town,beach and pier quite a few steps for us older folks

We had an amazing family vacation. The house was beautiful and very clean. It was a very short walk to the Main Street and the beach. We loved relaxing downstairs and using the hot tub! Everything was absolutely perfect.

We LOVED staying here! Great location to both water & restaurants. Need to come back again in warmer months to fully enjoy the patios!

We loved everything about this house and Folly Island. The house was so beautiful and immaculately clean, beds comfortable, and the location was amazing! It's so convenient, we were able to walk almost everywhere all weekend. The beach is one easily walked block away. The host was super friendly and helpful, check-in (and out) was a breeze! We loved Folly Island so much and plan to return as soon as possible .. and stay at The Stone Crab House again!

this was my first trip to Charleston and Folly Beach was the right choice. the beach house was perfect for myself and 3 girl friends to have VERY close access to the beach and close enough to historic downtown. Even though it was January and temps were pretty chilly, the beach was perfect to walk on in the morning. The house was exactly as advertised, very clean , very spacious. Would love to come back in the summer and really enjoy the ocean. Even though we were off season, there were plenty of great restaurants and of course Berts Market.

Really enjoyed the property. Couldn't ask for a better location. Folly Beach is a pretty fun spot. The outdoor kitchen area was a favorite. Only minor issue was the internet was in and out. Other than that it was a great 3 days.

As advertised, beautiful, very clean beach townhome with lots of room for our two families (total of 8 people) to spread out. The ground floor fun room with hot tub is a nice bonus. Only a block from the beach, restaurants and grocery made it so convenient. The rental agency is extremely helpful making sure our stay was perfect.

Stayed a week with family. Very much enjoyed our and convenience of the location.

We enjoyed our vacation so much!!! Everything about this house was perfect and it had an even better location. The only reason we gave it 4 stars was because the beds were not comfortable at all, I spent most of our week sleeping on the couch. When you’re on vacation, you want to fall into a comfortable bed, but I was very disappointed. I hate to complain, and if this was fixed, this house would be an easy 5 stars.

This is our second time to the property. We came back because We love the location, set up of the property and were excited about the lower level upgrades. The neighbors ( townhouse Nextdoor attached)had 2 dogs that barked non stop, we chose pet free rentals due to pet allergies. We were told by the renter 1 of the dogs was a service animal but there were 2 and they seemed to spend most of the day in the rental. In addition, there is a rat issue in the lower level ( outside under the house covered area). It was seen on multiple occasions under the outside kitchen and droppings were on the floor . the mgt company assured us the house is sealed , there are traps outside and it’s common on an island. This did make it uncomfortable, so beware

Spacious and inviting property within walking distance of beach and restaurants. Beautifully appointed kitchen with everything our group needed. Bedrooms are spacious and provide clothing storage to unpack and unwind. Highly recommended!

The property was beautiful, however when we arrived we noticed glitter on bed rails, confetti in a ceiling light, hair bands under a bed, and a towel left in the dryer. I believe the cleaning fee to br excessive for what was provided.

Great property and location. House was perfect for the 3 couples that stayed. Walking distance to all the restaurants and beach. Hot tub was a great addition. We will definitely stay again.
