Great place

The cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more. Incredibly appointed and impeccably clean. The location and views were beautiful. My family had an amazing time. Can’t wait for next year!

The property was very beautiful. It was spacious and well laid out. The view was spectacular and the location was perfect for any activity on the lake or river, eating, and shopping. We will definitely book again!

This Cabin was beautiful and clean! Me and my friends had a great time, but you should plan on having to go to Ingles to get toilet paper and paper towels. Cons - - Tried to communicate with the property manager and received no response at all - Light over the grill doesn't work - Only half the jets in the hot tub work - There were no paper towels in the cabin - There were 3 rolls of toilet paper for the entire weekend for 10 folks

The house was beautiful, roomy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was large so that was a plus! The house is close to the town and several wineries. You can't beat the location of this place and the fact that it still had an amazing view! The porch was relaxing to sit and take in the views! The small thing I found annoying was the text from the rental company. We only spent two nights in the cabin so we essentially had one full day in Blue Ridge. I kept receiving texts during that day to "click the link for checkout". I understand one reminder, but I don't need multiple reminders when I'm trying to enjoy my day. (It's possible the multiple text was a glitch) Aside from that I would definitely stay at this property again. We had a wonderful time!

Hot tub was not working first day. Then after that only half the jets worked. But other than that very relaxing trip.

We had a great time at the cabin, eating, cooking, drinking and the hot tub! Great pool table and lots of games to play!

Great cabin and location. New fridge so prior concerns were addressed. We couldn’t get the main room cable to work and took 4 days of back and forth work with maintenance to correct. But they were nice. Jets on 1 side of hot tub don’t work and beds are high for elderly and as expected for a rental. Other than small items above, stay was great and quiet getaway.

The house seemed nice, but very poorly managed. After booking, we were required to sign a lengthy contract outside of VRBO which was very restrictive and stated we would be charged for every little thing. Upon arrival there was broken glass on the floor, the heat was off (in January), and the refrigerator was not working. We contacted the management twice about the refrigerator, but never received a response. In another review we read that it was an issue 5 months prior to our stay and assumed any issue would have been fixed by now, but apparently not. The lack of response from the management company after reaching out multiple times is really concerning.

We had an awesome time at this cute cabin. Super close to downtown too. Very Relaxing environment

Great cabin. 5 min from downtown. Lots of space. Nice view. The fridge was broken. Had to use a cooler with ice. Had to call management more times than I would have expected. Also, the gas fireplace was way too challenging to turn on/off. Supposed to be able to use the switch on the wall, but it had to be done manually (with no instructions), which required a couple more phone calls to the management. Overall, we would stay here again, but only if the amenities were addressed.

Cabin was everything it was advised view was borderline but cabin was convenient to all our needs it was easy to get to the noise of traffic while outside was a little loud

We had a great time at this cabin. It was in a great location, very close to downtown. It was very clean, and we would definitely stay here again.

Overall, house is nice and location is fantastic. We ran into few issues. 1) refrigerator was not working when we got there. It was not blowing cold air. We called the maintenance number and guy said he would come out. He (Shane) never did not did he ever call back. We fixed it on our own by chipping off ice in freezer and turning down the freezer Bc it was too cold therefore freezing over the vents. 2) one of the pillows from closet had dried blood on it. Small dot of blood but gross none the less. 3) I called the number they provided- the 706 number. No one ever picked up. Poor service from property management so book at your own risk and hope nothing goes wrong.

Our family had a beautiful stay! The only thing I would do differently is stay longer. We were sad to leave. We are a family of 9 and had plenty of room. We absolutely loved the porch and spent lots of time outside.

Overall we had a great experience at the Blue Jay Cabin. Everything was clean, plenty of space for 8 of us, but saying it slept 10 would be a bit of a stretch with the smaller beds in the basement, so unless you have small children, I'd say 8 max. My few complaints were that the fridge was turned down so low that it did not get cold for over 24 hours, so the food and drinks we brought with us had to go into new coolers with ice we had to purchase at the local walmart. In addition to this, the hot tub was one amenity my group was very excited about and it never worked all weekend (no heat or jets). We called the support line and I talked to the maintenance guy who never showed up any of the 3 days we were there, even after calling each day. This was definitely a bummer since we picked this cabin over some others because of this feature. Some of the electronics could have used updating, like some larger tv's with HDMI ports for games. The grill was also not cleaned and was super dirty when we went to use it and it was left with an empty propane tank, luckily a new one was provided, but this should have been checked prior to the visit. Overall we still had a nice time and the cabin and enjoyed our stay despite the few issues we had.

We had a fantastic time at this cabin! It was exactly as described and housed our group of 9 perfectly.

Beautiful in every way. Decor and views! No surprises! Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and utensils. . Could use a couple of serving dishes. Loved seeing the hummingbirds! Location is nice and close to Blue Ridge. Road down the hill was bit noisy when on the beautiful deck...... At certain times. Not always Great house. Would rent again

Excellent stay at Blue Jay Cabin! Our family of 9 (Husband & Sons, Sister-in-law and family and Mother-in-law) really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was well equipped and the views were incredible. Plenty of space for all of us and lots to do. Location was easy to find (even w/ GPS) close to town, but you felt like you were far away when at the cabin. We enjoyed the pool table & ping pong as well as checkers and of course the HOT TUB! Reservation and check-in were simple. KUDOs to the housekeeping staff, my MIL forgot her sandals, I called the same day we departed to let them know and we had them returned within a week (we paid for shipping of course) but we were glad to get them back! I would recommend Southern Comfort Cabin rentals and specifically Blue Jay Cabin.

This place was exactly what we needed. It was the perfect relaxing weekend for the adults and kids.

The rental was nice overall. Disappointing that we did not have tv or cable for the weekend. As a note, the grill was not clean when we went to use it to cook on. Thanks
