This property is incredibly comfortable and spacious. Although there is space in between, including a quiet road, the full glass doors looking over to the bay and islands make a wonderful outlook. it was especially nice when the rain was beating down and the winds were blowing to stay inside in the warmth and watch the beautiful waterscape.

An excellent view, great location and property. A wonderful place to stay for families, friends and to include whatever age. The only things to let the owner know was that the accomodation could benefit with screen doors, on front and back and a power point in the bathroom of the bedroom, front right side facing the ocean.

Sunset Bay Escape holiday house is an exceptional property with amazing views overlooking the water, from the moment you walk through the front door the view is breathtaking, the home has everything you need for a short or long stay, the furnishings and fixtures are at a high standard, I will definitely be recommending Sunset Bay Escape to all my family and friends and look forward to returning again in the future.

Great house with amazing views, with a well equiped kitchen and some toys for the kids. The house was just a 5 minute walk to the general store, Hotel Bruny, liquor store and a calm beach, which my children visited daily. It did get very hot in the afternoons, especially if the blinds were left open, but this is just the consequence of one entire side of the house being walked in glass! Every room had an Airconditioning unit though. Our host, Mark, was very responsive to all queries and easy to contact. Thanks again for a great stay.

A good property- overpriced though. Property is worn and no queen/king bed. Garden needed work. Great view and good location. Generally a good property to stay.

The weather turned cold but with the sun still blazing Sunset Escape was toasty warm. No matter the climate the views are impressive. All round the accommodation and did I mention the views were excellent. Beds comfortable.

The weather was cold, wet and windy during our stay so we very much enjoyed the wood fire, comfy leather loungers and water views from the expansive glass frontage overlooking the water. The house is just around the corner from the BI hotel and local store and is an easy drive to Adventure Bay, the winery and other local attractions. We had a very enjoyable relaxing stay.

My husband and I, along with our best friends ventured forth and simply loved the place. We share many great memories and we shall return.

We really enjoyed the views and convenient location. The house is warm and very well laid out as well as having everything you could possibly need. Amazing!

Stayed 2 nights with my partner, and it was just incredible. Spectacular sunsets, wildlife, location, it was everything we could have wanted. We love to cook, so we made use of the full kitchen and pantry. Excellent communication from Mark, helping to make the stay extra special. Thank you!

This is a spectacular property and setting. Views for miles and glorious sunsets to be admired from the huge deck, or sit costed up with the wood fire. As advised by the owner, a definite must to stop off on the way to the house for oysters, cheeses and bread. If you don’t feel like cooking in the well appointed kitchen with thoughtful pantry extras available, the Pub is around the corner with a menu that’s varied and delicious. Loved staying on the west side of S. Bruny; quiet but easy drives to rest of the island. THANKYOU for a wonderful stay.

We stayed as a group of 3 couples and loved the place. It has amazing views, warm fire with plenty of wood and a well equipped kitchen. Just a short stroll to the pub and beach, it is a great base for a few days on beautiful Bruny Island. A special thanks to the host Mark for being so understanding (unlike some other hosts) about Covid related delays in 2020 and 2021. We are so glad we finally got there.

Wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed including a great selection of toys for the little one. The host communications were excellent. We will be back!

Within walking distance of the shop, pub and water's edge. Stunning views all day long. Plenty of space for the family to spread out. Good heating and cooling and a lovely relaxing environment, though the house and furniture are looking a bit tired and could do with a bit of attention. Mark is an attentive host and easily contactable. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location on the island. Well appointed. I would suggest putting in a full size dishwasher though.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The view is amazing, the house is very spacious and the location is perfect - walking distance to Hotel Bruny which does a delicious lunch or dinner, and just next to a beautiful beach. The perfect getaway for myself, my husband and our 3 month old!

When you look up from Alonnah beach, you see this gorgeous glass-fronted house and you think, “I want to stay there”. That’s Sunset Bay Escape. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the whole of Bruny - or just to relax with a glass of Tassie Pinot and soak up the glorious views across the water. Very highly recommended.

Thank you Mark and Jennifer for sharing your lovely holiday home. We had a fantastic time. The house was beautifully equipped with everything we could want and the location was perfect. But, really, it is all about the views. Looking across sparkling water to Satellite Island and Adamsons Peak in the distance was a joy. The icing on the cake were visits from two tame ‘resident’ Green Parrots and even an albino arufus Wallaby. How lucky we were!

The house lived up to all expectations when comparing to the photos online! The rooms are spacious and have fabulous views of the bay. Located a short walk from the local hotel/pub in Alonnah and great location to explore the island. Thank you, would highly recommend.
