Mattresses were firm

Beautiful cosy cottage with stunning views from every window. Nice quiet location. Perfect for a family stay. Even did some great stargazing from the conservatory.

Superb location, just on the edge of Keswick a few minutes walk up to the Stone Circle, see pics, a short walk down into town and back - leave the car (huge driveway, and 3x parking discs in case you don't) and its only a fiver in a taxi if you are too loaded. Superb lounge - Lush carpets, four deep comfy chairs and a superb log burner (take more with you if you like wintery nights in). The whole house is a comfortable home, lacking nothing. Keswick itself is easily the best location in the Lake District and if you love the Stone Circle as I do, the pubs and theater in town, good shopping, cheat walks (Walla Crag, Latrigg etc) or real walks... in Lakeland weather, and need a comfortable spread-yourselves-out base... you just found it. Just be sure to leave it exactly as you found it, as we might be the next guests arriving. Again. Home from home, fully equipped

All very good, very slight niggle was no sink in WC, if bathroom was in use then had to walk downstairs to wash hands.

The house was very spacious - prefect for families. The cottage was very clean and well looked after. Everything was covered, with a well equipped modern kitchen, a really useable dining room, spacious living room, cosy conservatory (my personal favourite feature), large bedrooms with comfortable beds, huge garden and driveway for at least 3 or 4 cars and a highly finished bathroom. The views from the property were excellent, especially relaxing in the conservatory and lounging in the front bedroom. The property is an excellent place for walkers to use as their 'base of operations' with easy access to all the nearby great routes within minutes drive away. It was also very quiet during my stay which was delightful. Its near enough to the centre of Keswick for access to amenities but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Overall very impressed
