The unit was clean and comfortable with great views. I would not recommend trying to ski with young kids. While you can walk to the lift you need to walk down multiple flights of stairs which is very hard with young kids especially if there is weather. Be aware of the four wheel drive recommendation as it is a steep slope

Parking was a problem. Even though we were told we could have 2 cars, there was not space. The condo needs attention. The shower curtain liner was barely hanging by a thread, and the foosball table is on its last leg. The location, view, and the fireplace were plusses.

Everything went smooth, from check in to check out. The place is located right on the mountain and views are spectacular. The place was big for the 5 of us. My kids loved it that they had their own room. Highly recommend. Food Lion dow. The road is great.

The condo was clean. It was ski in ski out but unfortunately we didn’t get to ski as there was no snow. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive as the roads are steep. The foosball table was at hit for our boys. It was great hiking at Grandfather mountain.

This condo has a loft with a futon and full bathroom allowing my youngest son to have his own room. The other room had twin beds with a bathroom and then the master with a (clean...I checked) jetted tub, great shower and king bed! You can't get better than that for this price.
The family room and kitchen were perfect. There's a great fireplace (which is on a timer...nice) and semi-comfomfortable couches. The kitchen is nice with granite and fully stocked with loads of stuff.
The loft area has a few fun things to do, but we didn't utilize it.
The HUGE deck is amazing! The view is incredible. Although the Spring weather didn't quite cooperate, the ski in/ski out was great. My boys would get their tickets the night before and hit the slopes!

Lucked out w snow. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive but no real reason to drive as you can walk easily to slopes. Will return.

We called the management company and they said they knew about it and the owner decided to get a new dishwasher instead of fixing it, which didn't help us. Not sure when they were planning on replacing it. 2. The condo wasn't cleaned. We got a call after we picked up the keys saying that the cleaner needed to come back to the condo to finish the kitchen, so while we were supposed to be eating dinner, we had someone in our condo (during covid) cleaning the kitchen. When we went to sit down, I noticed spots on the kitchen table (which she had cleaned before coming back), and when I got a wet paper towel to wipe it off, it was entirely black, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. 3. The beds were pretty uncomfortable.4. There were no balls for the bumper pool. One of the reasons that we picked this condo was because the kids would have fun with the games, but we couldn't play pool. The walls were so thin that the whole condo shook when they played foosball. 5. The property management company was difficult to deal with. They couldn't tell me when they would be open until. They said they didn't have enough staff to check the cleanings. They didn't know that our condo wasn't ready when we checked in. The damage deposit was extremely high compared to other places we looked at.

The pictures don't do justice, the views are amazing, the unit is very spacious, the balcony is massive. The drive to the unit is definitely a bit steep, but if you drive safe and slowly it will be fine. The unit came with extra cleaning supplies, was spotless, came with enough kitchen utensils to make a large group dinner. The only possible complain we have was the fact that the office closed 10 minutes before the displayed close time, so we had to go back in the morning to pick up our lift tickets. The trail to the top of big birch took no more than 5 minutes with all our gear. We were considering staying at the hotel at the top of Oma's Meadow because it was ski in/out but opted for this for the extra space and 100% made the right choice. Might not be ski in/out but its the closest you can get without sacrificing spaciousness. Was the property description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc? Yes, the property description did not explain that it is a gated community which is a plus but everything else is as described Was the property clean and well-maintained?
