It was our second time here and everything was just as before: great location, apartment equipped with everything you could need, and super clean. We all really enjoyed being here and hope to return! The bus stop is just across from the apartment, if you want to take the bus. But everything is also easily within walking distance. Claudine, the owner, is really helpful and welcoming and very responsive. Thank you for a great stay!

The apartment was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything was very comfortable and welcoming. There were Matterhorn shaped chocolates awaiting us. The bus stop is across the street and a grocery store very close. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony. We did have one maintenance issue that was taken care of very promptly. Communication was excellent.

fantastic holiday apartment in a very good location in Zermatt in combination with well-planned and modern furnishings which creates very good conditions for a comfortable holiday rest. The apartment was well prepared for our arrival, perfectly cleaned, with extra cleaning in the middle of our stay with change of linen and towels included in the price. We stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks in the shift between June and July. We appreciated the proximity to cable cars and the grocery store but at the same time a little seclusion from the busiest streets. We definitely liked that there was a little open space between the houses with a little greenery in between. We have appreciated the neighborhood of a blackbird that offered many songs every day and a squirrel playfully jumping on the trees along the sidewalk. Good to know that a good view point towards the Matterhorn is a 5 minute walk away towards the Winkelmatten chapel. The balcony is oriented mostly north so there will not be much sunbathing on it but it was good to eat on the hot summer days. We preferred to cook at home and the kitchen was equipped with all the necessary utensils. Because we have stayed a little longer, we have even had the opportunity to use a couple of times the laundry room which is located outside the apartment but in the same building and it worked without problems, the only concern was how to get small coins to get started the washing machine while everything else in Zermatt you pay cashlessly. Reliable and fast Wifi if you want to plan the next day hiking using your mobile or streaming your favorite series in the evening. Perhaps an upgrade of the TV set with chromecast or Apple TV can be considered in the future, which makes it easier to stream without having to carry the respective equipment in the suitcase. Would also be good with a simple drying rack for damp clothes after a long day out that you can place for example on the balcony. There are only minor suggestions for improvement, but overall it is five-star accommodation. We would be happy to come back one day. Many thanks to Claudine and her assistance during our stay.

Such a lovely apartment in a great location close to the cable car station which will take you all the way up to the Glacier paradise. Spotlessly clean, incredibly well equipped, and an easy walk to all the sights and attractions. I hope we will be able to return. Our stay at Chalet Parrot was everything we could want for our first time in Zermatt! Caroline was a wonderful host who responded quickly to questions we had and personally came to greet is shortly after arrival. The location is less than a kilometer from the main part of town so we walked everywhere (there is a bus stop right outside the door too). We spent lots of time on the large patio enjoying the beautiful mountain views Everything you could think of needing was provided: a welcome note and Matterhorn chocolate on arrival, maps and guides for the area, a fully stocked kitchen, and more. The beds were comfortable and the apartment even had some type of A/C (not the same as what we have in Texas) which was super helpful since most of Europe was experiencing a heat wave while were in Zermatt. Wonderful hospitality and comfort in the Swiss Alps!

Chalet Parrot is a delightful ski apartment perfectly located in Zermatt. It is a 10 minute walk to the lifts and a 10 minute walk to all village businesses and restaurants, including a fantastically supplied supermarket. Caroline, the owner/manager of this 3 BR unit lives upstairs and is super friendly and helpful. The unit is super clean and modern, including a fully equipped kitchen with high quality utensils and cookware. There is a separate ski equipment room at the entrance with lockers and boot heaters for equipment. However, since we were traveling from overseas, we elected to rent skis and left them and our boots at the rental place next to the Matterhorn Express Lift. This option is super convenient, since we could walk to lifts in street boots and change into our ski boots that had been heated and dried overnight. We are hoping to come back soon!!!

Great stay, the home is really really nice. It's in a great location and the owners were super. We had a wonderful time taking daily hikes into the surrounding area and just walking to town. Looking forward to another visit.

First time in Zermatt and it was truly amazing. With that said getting there and getting around could be a bit stressful without help and I can’t thank Carolina enough for her responsiveness. She was excellent in making sure I knew everything and reduced that potential stress a ton. I looked at a lot of options in the area and I personally would only want to work directly with a person that is this responsive vs a mgt company that may or may not help. There are a ton of outdoor activities and great spots to eat. We will repeat for sure. Our only regret was not booking more time

The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. We used the frequent shuttle which stops at the unit to get to the mountain in the morning and walked everywhere else. We really appreciated the mid-week cleaning and the laundry machines one flight of stairs below in the building!

My husband and I stayed here for a week over New Years with our 3 sons aged 14, 13 and 9. We had an absolutely fabulous time. The property is immaculate; is amazingly comfortable and welcoming; and is equipped with high-end everything from furniture to linens to appliances to cookware. Caroline has literally thought of every detail. She is also sensational hostess. She checked up on us before our arrival, during our stay and as we were departing. She made dinner reservations for us, helped us with a transportation issue and was absolutely charming, in particular with our sons. Thank you Caroline for a wonderful holiday. We hope to come back one day.

We had a lovely time at Haus Parrot. Caroline was extremely sweet and helpful with any questions we had. The apartment was located right near the shuttle stop to all of the lifts. Grocery store was a short walk away. Everything was within walking distance. Zermatt is exactly how we pictured a town in the Swiss Alps.

My wife and I took the train from Paris to Zermatt - very easy! Once in Zermatt, we walked from the train station to the apartment (Google maps). The apartment is located in a quiet part of town, but still within walking distance to shops and the ZBAG-lz (Gondola Lift Station). Open floor plan with plenty of space to relax and unwind – you will be pleasantly surprised! The apartment was very clean, neat, inviting and had a nice view of the village from the balcony. Caroline responses very quick to your emails or SMS and will even call you once you’re in Zermatt. She will definitely take care of you, thank you Caroline. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed at the Mara apartment for 2 weeks with another couple. We have rented apartments at ski resorts in Colorado, Utah, Montana, Courchevel and Tignes over there last 15 years and this apartment is probably #1 on our list. It is modern, classy, spacious, decorated with great taste, equipped with excellent quality apparels and spotless. You have everything that you need to cook for great dinners. It is really within walking distance of the ski lifts and all the shops in Zermatt. It is also very quiet at night. Caroline is very attentive to all our needs, cheerful and makes sure that you really feel at home. It is a first class act on all points.

My husband and I could not have been happier with this property, it's location and the graciousness of the hosts! We loved every minute and were heartbroken to have to leave to catch our flights. The home is exquisitely appointed. The location was absolutely ideal and so quiet! The hosts are so kind and generous with their time even though they appear to lead quite busy lives themselves! We stayed in Chalet Parrot during the 2016 Easter Holidays for a total of 9 days. In short, we totally enjoyed the holidays in Zermatt and very happy with the accommodation in Chalet parrot, absolutely worth the price we pay. The location is superb. i must say there might be chalets with better location, but we are very satisfied with chalet parrot, with all factors taken into account. As stated in the previous reviews, the bus stop is just right in front of the apartment. As it is a loop bus service, one can get to both ski lift stations and the centre of village. The stop is so strategic in the sense that most of the time, the bus is pretty empty at that stop and it starts to pick up more skiers in the subsequent stops, so a guarantee of getting on the bus especially in the peak hours. However if u miss the bus, no worries, its really about 10 mins walk to the lift. The chalet is close to restaurants and a mini mart, all within 5 min walk. But end of the day, the chalet is far enough from the pubs where the noise is and can have a good rest before another day of fun on the slopes. The Chalet itself, the finishing, the furniture, the appliances, the utensils are all tip top quality. Most importantly, Caroline is very helpful in solving problems and prompt in answering queries, even though she was in overseas during our stay! Zermatt is a very interesting village. its not small, but small enough to explore on foot. Taking a leisure walk around the busy village, can have surprises like stumbling upon a well preserved 17, 18th century building! Skiing towards the end of season in Zermatt, the temperature in the village is cool and comfortable, but the runs up on the slopes is still very good especially on the higher altitude! So we totally enjoyed the trip and very very satisfied with the accommodation! Thx Caroline! will surely be back to Zermatt and Chalet Parrot

We stayed here for a week in February, everything about the property was amazing! The location was awesome, a quick walk to the lift, town, restaurants and shops! The layout of the property was perfect, and it had everything we needed! The owners were incredibly welcoming, helped us with dinner reservations before our arrival and recommended a great ski guide service for our first day. This is definitely one of the best properties we've rented and made for quite an amazing experience in Zermatt! Thank you for everything!

From the moment we entered the apartment, to the (sad) moment we had to leave it behind. We booked this apartment mainly because of the very positive reviews of other travelers, but also on the very detailed impressions we got from the pictures, including the floor plan. The apartment is exactly like the photos suggest. It is very high standard, very spacious, luxurious and decorated with eye for detail. From the quality of materials used in the construction, to the quality of the beds and to the kitchen appliances and cutlery, everything is exactly as one would wish for! We stayed in this lovely chalet for a week over the New Year's holiday and I highly recommend it. We've rented apartments/houses around the world, and this one is the best. We are a family of four (two teenagers) from the United States. The chalet is perfectly situated -- just a short walk to the lift and downtown, yet it's very quiet. Everything in the chalet is spotless and it's beautifully decorated. Anything you could possibly need is provided in the chalet. And the owner, Caroline, is probably the best thing about renting this chalet. She helped us with recommendations for restaurants, ski rentals, ski lessons, transportation and even plans for New Year's Eve. We hope to stay here again soon!

Our family spent Christmas week 2015 in Zermatt. It was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Parrot. Caroline was a wonderful hostess, decorating the apartment for Christmas (with a small tree) and providing great advice on where to ski. The apartment was perfect for our family of five and was within a short walk to downtown Zermatt. Importantly, the bus is right across the street and took us directly to the gondola. Highly recommended!

ages 21 to 57 Zermatt has plenty for everyone! Perfect chalet one of the best we have stayed in, very modern and spacious, 3 nice bathrooms! Placed between the town and lifts 10 mins walk to each, chalet owner Caroline is on hand to assist with anything, We had a fantastic time, the best venue for the 10th anniversary of dads n daughters!!! Our family of 4 stayed here in January 2015 for a one week and we found it to be absolutely perfect for us. First of all Caroline, the owner, is very helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. The chalet building has a few apartment units in it and the rental unit is located on the ground (entry) level and the layout, design and amenities are really excellent. There is a room with ski and boot lockers (including boot heaters) right across from the entry to the apartment. The apartment covers essentially the entire floor - It is the lower of the 3 balconies you see in the exterior photo of the house. The building was constructed approximately in 2010 and everything seems brand new and extremely well-maintained. Great beds in 3 nice-sized bedrooms, 3 full and nice bathrooms (2 with showers and one with bath/shower combo), great quality fixtures, very well-equipped kitchen (including fondue and raclette sets of course), spacious and comfortable living/dining area, big balcony with good view. Very clean and they come to refresh towels/linens and clean mid-week. We have rented many houses and apartments as a family and I can say, without reservation, this was one of the best. If you are a family or several friends this beats a hotel easily, in our opinion. We were able to eat some meals and relax in the chalet and it is in easy walking distance to a seemingly endless choices of restaurants and bars in Zermatt. Our teens enjoyed the fact they could walk everywhere. Overall: Highly recommended. A couple travel tips if you are new to Zermatt: When you get to the train station simply take an electric taxi to the Chalet - easy and takes a few minutes to get there. The (red line) e-bus stop is located right across from the house - we took that every morning to skiing as it was easy and not crowded to get on and included with the ski pass. If you are a non-skier or off-season a weekly pass for the bus is 22CHF. For return at the end of the ski day it can be crowded on the bus so we usually just got a taxi, which got us home quickly as there are lots of taxis available anytime. Shopping for food at Migros or Coop as they are well equipped. Enjoy the restaurants on the mountain as there are so many good ones. If you are flying out of Switzerland, especially with ski equipment, you can check in at the train station to get your boarding pass and check your luggage the day before you fly, which is a huge convenience and well worth doing if possible.

Our family and friends had a wonderful week here. The apartment is situated between the slopes and the center so great location but still quiet. It is beautifully designed, spacious and well fitted out (especially the kitchen/washing facilities which are vital with young family). Everything is clean and tidy. The owners are always contactable and very helpful. Great value for money for an apartment of this quality in Zermatt.
