We are five friends who get together once a year for a week. We have stayed in various places and this is one of the best. The house is beautiful and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The garden was large and while we were there, the weather was perfect for sitting outside at the outdoor table and chairs. Everything was very clean with good quality bed linen, towels etc. There were many nice touches that made our stay very special. We would highly recommend it to a group of friends or a family.

Slowpool is a wonderful large, well equipped and comfortable house. It has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable and is a stunning building. It is lovely and quiet and relaxing.

Absolutely beautiful house in such a tranquil setting. Very peaceful and calm. This was our fifth time at the house. If you like streaming tv though make sure you download before you come on holiday here - wifi virtually non existent!

Excellent communication from the owner and manager meant we arrived without a hitch and so pleased to find Slowpool is everything we hoped for and more. Nestled in the countryside in beautiful woodland the house is amazing. Inside it was immaculate with a real home feel we felt relaxed almost immediately. The decor is so well thought out. Lovely and warm throughout plus the wood burner in the living room added a super cosy feel in the evenings. Lots to do and see in the area. Exeter Christmas market is a must do.

Great house, lovely gardens, peaceful and quiet.Everything was as anticipated and we had a wonderful holiday.
One point to note is that as the week progressed there was no way of checking the ph levels in the hot tub or using chlorine tablets to refresh the water.Consequently, towards the end of the week the hot tub was unusable.

The beds were so cosy and comfortable. The lounge very spacious and room for all.
We saw deer on the field and heard the owls.
Superb place as a base for visiting surrounding area.

Great house for a family reunion and celebration - plenty of space and very comfortable.
Great house for a family reunion and celebration - plenty of space and very comfortable. Amenities are very good and quiet and secluded location. Ideal for us as happy to drive to places - shops are about 15 minutes away. Many pleasant evenings spent outside catching up, playing games and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Large country home, close to the woods built into the hill side. More steps than we expected inside, could benefit from some smaller saucepans in kitchen and more cupboard space in bedrooms. No shops nearby, had to drive 15 mins or so into Honiton for any goods. Whilst access could be difficult if you are looking for somewhere away from it all this is the place for you.
