This cozy cabin had everything we could want for a weekend escape. Dog friendly, a hot tub, comfy bed and water access which was fun for both the pups and for my husband. Michael and Donetta were very thoughtful hosts and even left a small birthday gift for my husband since I told them we were coming to celebrate his birthday. They also left treats for the pups. Instructions were very clear for everything too. I enjoy not having to guess what to do for check in/out. They are very experienced, accommodating hosts and it shows in all the details.

My family of 4 enjoyed this cabin so much! It was nice to get away from busy life and spend a quiet weekend in the outdoors. My kids (7 and 11) loved the trail to the creek and could have spent all day out there. We had to travel to West Jefferson for most restaurants but only about 15 minutes away.

When we arrived at the cabin, we found it to be everything we hooed for, perfect amount of provacy in the location, very clean and the detailed notes for juat about everything imaginable was just mind blowing. We really enjoyed the hot tub and made sure to get in it each day, the firw pit was another favorite. The short hike to the river was refreahing as wrll and our dogs loved every minute of it. They had a blast exploring the area with us. But this rwciew would not be at all complete, witjout mentioning the stellar customer service and care taken in insuring that we had a great stay at the cabin. Michael and Donnetta really made it feel personal. We loved the cabin, the nature and the tranquiluty. We will definitely be back!

All we needed for a short getaway during a few cold days. Enjoyed the hot tub and the short walk down to the river.

The cabin was perfect. We arrived to Christmas decor including a Christmas tree.
It was equipped with everything we needed.

We were so impressed with this property. It literally had everything we could possibly want from towels for the hot tub to Bluetooth speakers. They even provided wood for the fire pit, which was a very comfortable space to hang out in. And if you’re a smoker, there are ashtrays all over the place for you to use.
We had a sisters weekend and had a blast. Everything we need or wanted was at our fingertips. The communication was excellent and the owners were very nice. We highly recommend staying at this property if you are interested in privacy and comfort.

Super amazing place; we came for our honeymoon with high hopes and they were succeeded!!! Saw deer right off the porch our first morning, although our pup’s presence kept them distanced pretty quickly. Loved it!!!

Love this cabin in the woods. The walk across to the river was lovely. We enjoyed this cozy cabin and hung out by fire pit and enjoyed the hot tub. Located so close to West Jefferson action but still feel like you were in the woods. Hope to return would highly recommend.

Every day was a fun day from cozy cabin, to deer in the woods, to finding stuff animals in trees. It was far enough way from Boone and close enough to Boone.

We really enjoyed the property, it was private but close enough to go into West Jefferson for the farmers market and shops, The hot tub really hit the spot as did all the games that were available. We did make the treck down to the river once, it was beautiful.

Secluded and peaceful, but yet not far from West Jefferson shopping. If in the area, I would stay here again. Overall, an awesome experience.

The Wilderness cabin is a cozy log cabin nestle in the woods. Very cool at cabin for this time of year. The house had beautiful decorations everywhere. Instructions easy to follow for house amenities. Close to West Jefferson, Lansing, Blowing rock and Boone. I would recommend this to all who just want to relax in quite. Cabin was very clean and well kept.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean, the bed was super comfy (which is one of the most important factors for us), & the shower had great water pressure. There were so many nice touches such as a plethora of DVD movies, games, & speakers for enjoying your favorite music outside. Highly recommend!!

No stone unturned. Beautiful house. Awesome accomodations. Exactly as advertised. Will definitely be making another trip back to this house. Best house out of fleetwood, todd and lansing after coming up there 3 years in a row. Love the privacy and the time taken for the notebook full of attractions and restaurants. Top notch.

We had a wonderful stay! Location was great for privacy. My daughter enjoyed skipping rocks in the river. Owners even thought to leave some dog biscuits for our pup! Clean and well stocked.

We loved our stay at this cabin! It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved being in the woods, listening to the birds, sitting on the porch or in the hot tub which is right off of the master bedroom.
The porch is wrap around and has a table with four very comfortable chairs. It also had a high top table and chairs, and rocking chairs. The house has everything you need to cook a meal or enjoy a glass of wine. The owners added many “extra touches” which made it feel so relaxed and welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I spent the weekend with friends at the Wil-deer-ness Cabin. It was peaceful and fabulous. The cabin had lots of really nice added touches. The hosts are very considerate. We enjoyed a great weekend and will keep this on our list of getaway spots. Absolutely wonderful.

Great cabin for a couple or small family. Very quiet. Feels remote but not too far to Jefferson/West Jefferson.

This cabin was awesome! We have stayed at many different cabins in the blue ridge mountains, and this one ranks up near the top for sure. Very well set up with instructions for everything, all the amenities you need and nothing you don't. Hot tub worked great, the river access was clean and perfect for wading and our dogs to play in. Has good proximity to town and parks/trails.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We hiked many trails around the area. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after long days on the trails. The cabin had absolutely everything you could ask for and then some. You don't have to worry about forgetting to bring anything because the cabin has it all. Everything was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
