That same Cheetos that was mentioned in a previous review was still in the chair in theater room. Housekeeping is not cleaning properly if they same Cheeto was there from I don’t know how long. The knives in the kitchen needs to be replaced. They are very full.

First thing in the morning had the fire going. So relaxing while watching the sun rise. Cabin was clean and filled our expectations. Just a comment to consider, there is a small oak tree at the corner of the deck that will hinder the view of the mountain at some point, the mountain view is beautiful, however it won't be there long. Some updated view pictures are suggested as well.

I told the manager on duty that and she reassured me the cabin was very clean. we had no choice and agreed to it, but it was not clean when we arrived. there was blood on the quilt, broken glass in the dish closet, an opened water bottle on the floor behind a door, candy wrappers on the TV system in the theater, floors were not clean. I was very disappointed and called the manager. This trip was planned for months and it was not a good way to start. I cleaned everything myself even though they offered to send someone to reclean.

The pool table and theater room are very fun for all although the seats in the theater room are a bit uncomfortable for long periods. We couldn't get the sauna to work and the bathrooms needed cleaning. The cabin was not ready for us when we arrived as the cleaning crew had just arrived and we had to wait for about an hour in the cold. The furniture and bedding is a bit dated and worn, the knives need sharpening and the sleeper sofa in the basement is not usable.

It is very beautiful and has great views! The roads leading to the cabin were a little windy. It was about 20 mins from pigeon forge and 10-15 mins from downtown Gatlinburg. We had a total of 9 adults and 2 kids and anymore would have been a stretch. The upstairs game room bed is a futon. More than one person would have been tight especially if not a couple. Same for the dowstairs sofa and bunks. Not super roomy for two adults unless they are awfully close. PROS: Great theater room. We broght a karaoke mic. Sauna was nice Hot tub was nice Kitchen was well equipped and stocked Wonderful porch In resort, but no one could see on on porch or hot tub areas. PLENTY of parking! 7 cars! CONS: It is modern & clean, but not flashy like say Poolin' Around so I gave it 7/10. TVs need updates so you can easily stream. They are not smart tvs. Theater was a bit of a pain at first. Hot tub is too small for a 14 person cabin and needs to go a bit higher on warmth though it was good and not the luke warm sort. I like hot water and it was nearly perfect. Sauna....not as hot as it could be, but if you stay in awhile it does get toasty. I prefer the seclusion of not being in a resort, but for the resort it was fairly private even with another cabin next door and down the hill. You cannot see onto the back deck or hotub from the other cabins which is nice. There is a GREAT wooded and mountain view!! Lovely! Plenty of chairs on the porch. I would like to see some sort of small fire pit for smores and blanket upgrades. It was very clean and great for a group when you need an affordable cabin. I would do this one again.

We had 9 people and the cabin was big enough for everyone to have alone time but still cozy enough when we were all together. We had one slight problem with the TV cable cord, called maintenance, and it was fixed within an hour. They had even set up a Christmas tree which was a very nice surprise. Everything was perfect, cabin, location, kitchen set-up. We can’t wait to return next year.

Our stay in Knotty & Nice went smoothly and was a lot of fun. The property was as advertised, clean, cozy, and a great place to retreat to after a long day at Dollywood. The one “but” I would mention is: it’s a great property, but if you have a large group (we had 14) you may have a couple people having to take one for the team as far as sleeping arrangements go. The ladies slept 3 to a bed, 2 to a bed, 3 to a bed in the top and middle level bedrooms. The 6 men then slept 1 to each bunk bed on the bottom level, one on the pull out couch, one on the futon, one on the middle level couch, and one on a blow up mattress. The cabin is listed as sleeping 14, but I would revise that number to sleeping 10 or 12 personally. I also gave the neighborhood 4 stars, as it was not a very mountainous location, and had no area to really explore and had no fire pit. Despite those nit picky things, we all still had a great time and it was a trip we won’t soon forget. We would definitely reserve this cabin again, but with a smaller group next time.

We've stayed at 3 different cabins, and this is the most we've ever paid. Comparatively speaking, it wasn't worth the extra money. Nice features included the movie room, hot tub, plenty of space to play and sleep, nice outdoor grill, and TVs in every room. For the price, though, we'd expect the movie room to be stocked with DVDs (like others at a lower price) and/or have a streaming service. Several of the knives were so dull I couldn't cut an apple (this was raised in a March 2018 review and apparently not addressed). Also would expect some very basics like salt and pepper. Yes, we received the list of what is stocked and what to bring. Other cabins provide a similar list yet every place we've stayed in TN and elsewhere includes a few basic things like this (even though they aren't on the list). Management was very responsive to issues we raised and sent maintenance right away. Something we didn't bring to their attention is that the air hockey has a short in the cord, so it only works sporadically. Biggest issue was the ROACHES in the kitchen and dining area. So gross! We noticed this immediately upon check-in, and they sent an exterminator right away. Exterminator did a minor treatment and pointed out that they check and treat every 30 days and said it was likely another guest may have brought them in. The problem did not improve at all by the end of the week, in fact it seemed to be worse. We killed several daily, including adult and baby roaches. We've NEVER had this problem in a rental in TN or elsewhere!

The young folks loved the downstairs with the movie theatre, hot tub, pool table and air hockey. j. It was a great place for them to gather. The main floor living room was big and comfortable with plenty of room for all. The cabin was very clean and everything was working well. The location was perfect for golf, zip lining, mountain biking, hiking Dollywood etc. There were plenty of nearby restaurants to eat the main meal at. We were real close to the arts and crafts loop so could do a little shopping on the way back to the cabin everyday. The kitchen was well stocked but never did find a cookie sheet! Could have used a sturdier garbage can in the kitchen that the lid didn't fall off all the time. That was the only minor problem. k. We loved sitting on the decks in the comfortable chairs at night and enjoying the beautiful scenery. It was a perfect week!

Our three generation extended family spent a wonderful week in Gatlinburg at the Knotty & Nice Cabin. We were 10 people ranging in age from 8-78 years old and the cabin was great place for all of us to stay. When planning this vacation we had no idea where we should be staying but the location turned out to be perfect: near the National Park, Golfing, restaurants, shopping, zip lining, horseback riding, mountain biking etc. There was room for everyone in the cabin. The younger folks enjoyed hanging out in the lower level with the hot tub, pool table, air hockey. The dining area was perfect for our size group and the living room was a place for all of us to gather. The kitchen was adequate for cooking some meals although I never could find a cookie sheet! One small issue was the large plastic trash can in the kitchen that the lid never stayed on and was not very stable. The grill worked perfectly and the rocking chairs on the porch were a great hang out after a busy day. The cabin was nicely furnished and everything was in good working condition. We did not have any issues while we were there. I have already recommendation the cabin to some friends who saw pictures on fb and wanted to know where we stayed. The cabin far exceeded our expectations for a great extended family vacation.
