Really enjoyed our stay despite the terrible weather, very nicely set up for four adults. Everything you'd want for a stay - definitely recommend!

Well presented , well equipped, clean and only steps from a beautiful beach. Close to excellent cafes and supermarkets. Great swimming and beach walks and friendly neighbours. Available parking only suitable for small cars however street parking safe. Exterior of building dated and so therefore it was a surprise to find the interior more modern. We would have liked more airflow several windows could not be opened.

The property was very comfortable if you are not staying along time It is well equipped for a short stay if you don’t intend to do a lot of cooking. The kitchen is very basics .the bedding is excellent. our stay was 3 weeks . Some of the furniture is starting to show its age . There is an ant problem and a can of raid is not going to fix the problem. location to shopping is great and beach access very good You are not ocean front but do have a side view of the ocean Thanks

Very well appointed and comfortable apartment everything that we needed. We just loved the short few steps to the beach and 10 minute walk to the Milford shopping centre. No road noise.

An outer photo of the property should be included. Had I known the building looked the way it did, I would have simply kept scrolling. Upon check-in, which was actually set up well, the place had a musty odour but appeared clean. Outdated. The wifi would not connect to my laptop when the reason I was in NZ was for work and was stated when booking. The beach in front was packed and loud. Dogs barking, we could hear every move the people upstairs made. It was unbearable as I had work that needed to be done. The ad stated “relaxed” but it was not even near relaxing with the noise. The last straw was the ant-infestation and I have photos of them all over the bathroom floor. I used my time to book and pay for another rental far from that area. All the property said was no refund is available and touch the top of the router to make it work (it did not). It was a relief to leave as fast as possible. Do not book if you want to relax or work, this is not the place for you.

Enjoyed our week long stay. Comfortable apartment. Comfortable bed and lovely decor. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Friendly neighbours. Had great weather. Lovely being able to step out on the beach for a walk. Hopefully we will be back soon in NZ and would love to stay there again.

A gem of a spot in a greatneighbourhood

Amazing location...only 10m from the beach & short walk to Milford shops

This was our 2nd stay here. We absolutely love this property. It's in a great location, direct access to the beach and within easy reach of some of the most beautiful beaches on this shore. Unfortunately I did drop a star this time as the place could have been a little cleaner but still a great property.

Right on the beach, Lovely stay. Clean, tidy, lovely decor. The off street parking was a challenge to get in and out of. Would definitely stay again.

Beach life at its best

The location is just as described - right on the beach and cannot be faulted. High tide practically laps at the lawn. The property is spacious if not a little dated / tired. Bed linen and towels were new / clean and lovely but areas of the accommodation itself could do with a good clean including aged cobwebs full of bugs and dead spiders in the conservatory, the fridge had not been cleaned prior to my arrival (unfair considering we pay for cleaning on top of the fee) and generally it did not feel up to the standard I would expect regarding cleanliness. However, saying this, the owner very kindly did allow me to check in two hours earlier (for personal circumstances) and she did say that she had not yet completed her checks.... I just find it difficult to grasp that the beds were all made and generally the place clean and tidy yet the fridge dirty.... Ants can be a challenge (don't leave food out). Although the description states the bathroom is accessible is not accessible by wheelchair - it is on the level but the entrance is too narrow for a wheelchair. I am quite sure that the owner will be obliging and make sure that cleanliness it is all sorted out for the future - might just be worth checking this before booking thought. Owner kindly agreed to us providing our own ramp for entrance when wheelchair was required for visiting. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the location enabled a family member who uses a wheelchair to visit with a lovely view of the Hauraki Gulf. Also, I would add that if 4 people are staying it does offer fair value and a great place for beach goers. Neighbours were kindly. Any visitors need to park on the road at top of the drive but this is no problem as there ample parking on the road.

Property outside not pleasant, car park small, I had Suzuki. Loved the beach being so close, the steps access to beach too big/high especially last one. A small step stool would be great for people less than average hight as I couldn't reach high kitchen cupboards & shelf in shower too high. Sorry, I'm only 1.37m 4ft 6 so these things are important to me, I've never had this problem before. There were lots of things that were great but I would of struggled if on my own, I couldn't reach the dryer either, oh dear no washing line or airer. Oh dear you'll think I'm a grump just pointing out what a short person or someone with leg problems would have. Thank you

Comfortable apartment with your own beach access, what's not to like.

Stayed here with my sister for a few days while recuperating from an operation. Although it was a wintry week, this apartment was cosy and warm and very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. Plus we enjoyed the view of the harbour. Cherylyn was very easy to communicate with and went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Smart, stylish, brilliant location close to beach. Parking only suitable for a small car. Kitchen not particularly well equipped or designed.

A dated exterior giving way to an impressive, comfortable and very well equipped interior.

First class location and rental was excellent

The property was very nice and clean. Wonderful beds! Very nice kitchen and living space. Only a few steps from a great beach. Many fun restaurants and sites nearby. Access to Auckland via the Devonport passenger ferry was easy and fun. Our host was very helpful and made sure that our stay was as stress-free as possible. Highly recommended!

This apartment was perfect for visiting family in Auckland. Apartment was very clean and beds were comfortable and had everything we required. 10 second walk to the beach was exhausting! Milford shops are about 10 mins walk. Would definitely book again.

Good afternoon Cherylyn, Thank you for your message - we were going to let you know and Bookabach how disappointed we were with On The Beach apartment. No 5 was NOT absolute beach front only the building!! No 6was the apartment we should have had with no obscured views!! The lack of privacy and poor parking was another annoyance. If we had brought our own four wheel drive vehicle it wouldn’t have fitted in the very small parking space. We were woken up every morning at about 6 am by the couple in the apartment overhead, bad insulation and not their fault. After 40 years in the airline industry and owning rentals ourselves, we considered the apartment vastly overpriced for what we had. Yours sincerely, Judith and Cyril Parker

Apartment is in a great location on the beach. It is clean, comfortable and well-equipped for two couples.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is well situated outside of Auckland but it’s easy to get to the city if that’s what you want to do. We spent most of our time heading north to west where the scenery is great. The apartment is exactly as it’s portrayed in the photos, is very clean and has everything you would want for a short stay. There is assigned parking right next to it but if you have a midsize car or larger don’t bother as it’s too tight, just use the ample parking on the street.

Such an enjoyable place to stay having everything required for a comfortable relaxing few days. Enjoyed the beautiful views and area.
