This is our 3rd stay on Maui, and this time we brought my parents and sister. D10 was an amazing condo, spacious and clean. The property is beautiful, complete with a beach perfect for sunset views and amazing for early morning turtle greetings! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Mahalo! See you in a yet or two!

Kahana Sunset is right on the beach. We started each morning watching whales or turtles from the beach while we had our morning coffee. It is very close to a number of beautiful snorkeling spots so you aren't spending all day driving. The staff does a wonderful job keeping the hotel grounds clean. We would stay again! What would make it even better would be a true hot tub verses just warm and an air conditioner in the second bedroom. Again those weren't deal breakers. We loved it!

We came to Maui for a few days and LOVED this property! The location was nice, easy to find and access. The view was great, had a private beach access with a turtle sanctuary!! I was IN LOVE! The home was lovely, had a nice layout and style. I loved the wood artwork. Literally everything was perfect for our stay! I’m going to recommend this property for friends and family, and it will be on our top stay next time we come back!

Overall a great stay. A couple of things to note: the small pool is definitely not a hot tub, which was a bummer. But the pool was a nice temp. There was almost no beach during our stay (late February), but this may be different other times of year. Our unit was comfortable, with a partial ocean view. Kitchen could be better stocked with a few basics. It could have been a little cleaner; some dishes needed additional cleaning prior to use. Due to weather (high winds and rain) travel to other parts of the island were necessary. Without knowing the normal weather patterns, it seems like other times of year may be more ideal at this spot. But we did see TONS of whales - nearly every time we looked at the ocean we saw whales spouting and breaching. Quite remarkable.

We loved it here - it was close enough to town to Lahaina Historical District to get there in just a few minutes but also not in the crazy/busy/noisy areas. The condo was very nice itself, loved that it had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so we didn't have to share with the other couple. The washer/dryer combo was also great! Beautiful view from the top deck! We didn't get to use the beach here at all because it was December and there was a storm brewing the whole week but I'm sure at other times of the year when the surf isn't so high it's a great place to get wet. We did however go sit out at the provided lounge chairs and watch the sunset several nights, PERFECT area for that! We would definitely visit again!

We had a relaxing week at Kahana Sunset, enjoying the pool and beach. A quiet property in a great location. Close to stores and restaurants for convenience and hiking along the coast at Kapalua.

We have stayed at the Hyatt and Marriott Suites and this place beats them by a mile. Other reviewers have commented on the lack of air conditioning; the unit in the master is a bit noisy but works well, and when the windows are open for a cross breeze, the rest of the house feels fine. Turtles visible every time we looked, steps from the unit. The beach has mostly washed away with rough surf and cloudy water, but so close to the incomparable Napili beach where swimming and snorkeling are truly world class, we barely noticed. The pool and grounds are just lovely and serene. The unit was very clean. Excellent full size stove and fridge with all necessary utensils, trash bags, laundry and dish soap, etc. very nice beach towels and chairs on the lanai. Really wonderful management company (Sullivan properties); will definitely rent with them again. Five stars!

Well kept and situated, would definitely book again. The walk to the pool was 2 minutes and the beach just beyond. The property grounds were well kept and the views breathtaking. Relaxed, calm atmosphere, great for all ages. Bedrooms/bathrooms are upstairs, opposite ends and are very private. Added touch was the washer/dryer. Downstaris open floor plan with deck views...amazing!

The location and layout of this property were ideal. General facilities of the complex were great Things to be mindful of is there is no aircon. The master bedroom has a portable unit by the window but nothing downstairs in the living area or in the second bedroom which meant little sleep for two people in there The property had no dishwasher tablets or basic cooking items. We managed to borrow from a lovely neighbor who owns the property nextdoor and she said that the expectation is for basic supplies.

The photos listed did not do this place Justice!! So relaxing, pool was great. I was shock that it closed daily at 8pm though. The grounds were lush and very well kept. The on-site staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was great, the private beach was spectacular!! We saw a turtle come up onto the sand at sunset on our last night!! Would definitely stay here again!!

This was a wonderful place to stay, great location, great private beach, wonderful sunset views. Superbly maintained property and staff was always friendly. Couple of minor issues with unit. moldy shower curtains, dishwasher worked but needs some repairs, more than one trash bag would have been nice, and lastly there were no lids.for the cooking pots or pans.

Kahana Sunset is an amazing hidden gem. We loved the grounds, beach, BBQ grills, pool, lawn, and easy access to all things Maui! The unit itself was a little dated and could use a refresh but overall very nice and a great value. Our biggest recommendation would be more pillows with pillowcases available and a quieter AC unit.

Location was wonderful. We really enjoyed barbecuing. The grills are great. It would have been useful to have a sponge/scrub for dishes. And perhaps some condiments and spices. Other than that, we appreciated the beach chairs, lots of beach towels. We had trade winds, so we were able to turn off the air conditioner at night in the master bedroom since it was very noisy. We had five adults and we all loved it.

We enjoyed our stay here at the condo! The place provided all we needed and had beach towels to use! There were two decks located on the main floor and master bedroom that provided beautiful views of the ocean! The overall area had a grass area and a small beach that were always well kept and beautiful! Everyday we were able to see more than 10 turtles swimming by and feeding and had a great place to snorkel! My family really enjoyed the property and will definitely return back!

The resortis beautiful and the staff are very friendly. We had an enjoyable visit and will come back if we travel to maui again. What stopped me from giving all 5 stars is our room description said pantry items so we figured there would be something. There wasn’t even salt and pepper. No foil, plastic wrap, absolutely nothing. I probably wouldn’t have thought anything about it but my sons condo was stocked with spices and above items. I started comparing and we had to buy hand soap. Theirs had some. The sun beats on the back lower deck and our condo was the only one anywhere near us without a retractable awning making it unusable. Plus, no blinds on the window making it hotter and not very private at night. The portable AC in the master is so loud that using it at night isn’t an option. I thought i was paying a minimal amount less due to the semi obstructed view but apparently not. It would be nice to have ac in all rooms. I just feel that rather than a blanket condo description, there should be a little more personal description. Speaking with others, ours was totally different from theirs. For just a short trip, a few necessities is welcomed. I left the hand soap for the next person. I hope it’s left in the condo for someone else to use. Thank goodness for our sons condo. Spices amd AC were enjoyed by us too. Otherwise, yes I would recommend kahana sunset to someone else. These are suggestions for you to take into consideration and for someone else who isn’t going to live in the condo for a few months but a short vacation.

This unit is great for families because there was one bedroom with a king bed and another bedroom with a queen and a twin. The deck off the main bedroom was incredible. I sat out there with my coffee watching the whales breach! We all greatly appreciated the space the unit afforded our family. Instead of being on top of one an other, this unit gave the kids their own room. The deck space is huge! The place had most things you would need in the kitchen. The overall grounds are beautiful and the people all staying there we very great and easy to talk to. Many retirees were there for 1-3 months! That would be great some day. The only drawback is the beach is small. We drove to napili each day which was fine. The beach at Kahana Sunset is great to hop in a cool off and the pool was wonderful! We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 5th trip to Maui and we stayed at 3 different locations this trip. Next trip will be exclusively HERE! The location is on our favorite side of the island near Lahaina, Whaler's and Fleming. This condo had everything we could possibly want AND each afternoon there was a huge turtle who would come sunbath on the beach of the PRIVATE cove. Who could blame him?

My overall impression of the this property is A1 excellent! The amenities were wonderful and it was nice to have use of the grill. This condo has the most beautiful sunsets! We also really enjoyed the private beach and swimming with turtles! What a great week we had making wonderful memories with family.

We LOVED the unit! It had a great view! The condo had a good supply of cooking pans and utensils we needed for preparing meals. Definitely had plenty of space for the 4 of us. The washer and dryer in the unit definitely came in handy and we all wished we had arrived with less clothes because we had the washer and dryer. The pool was refreshing to swim in, the beach had nice soft sand and we had sea turtles came in at night to sleep. We never had the opportunity to use the outside grills on the property. Bring your binoculars if you are there during whale season so you can get a close look watching them splash around with the babies. Totally loved our stay and hope we will be able to return one day. Would definitely stay in this condo again. My only compliant…I wish we could have stayed longer!

This property was perfect for a family of four. The hosts provided everything we needed and more. The place was clean and comfortable and the property is adorable. There is a small beach and lots of places to grill, sit out in the sun and even a pool. The views from the master bedroom lanai are spectacular. The unit is walking distance from coffee and a fabulous little grocery store. I went to the little shopping plaza almost every day. Every time I had to communicate with the hosts, they responded lightning fast. They helped me with finding a rental car but telling me about Turo. All I can say is this a a great place to stay with fabulous hosts.

This place had everything you need for a short or long stay. I should’ve only brought the minimum because I literally didn’t need much for my stay. Clean and very convenient to shops and restaurants.

Love this property - stayed twice now and will return again! Location, amenities, comfort were perfect for our two teens and us. Visited family 10 minutes away, wasn’t super busy and super relaxing. When you want to get away from it all and slow down, this home is perfect. Thank you, Nicole!!!

Checkin was super easy, staff responsive and helped with recommendations. Property beautiful with several return guests telling us they come here year after year for the beach, amenities, location and snorkeling. We would definitely stay again. Could use portable AC in 2nd bedroom.

Greatest place to stay on Maui

Perfect location and relaxing, well-maintained grounds. Small private beach was perfect to enjoy the sunsets. Unit worked well for a family of five. Master bedroom had portable air conditioning unit, but other room got fairly hot for the kids, but they managed. Many other units around seem to have a central air conditioning unit that runs outside the room, so might be a nice upgrade to this to keep the entire unit cool and quiet. A few of the screens need some repair and upkeep done on them, but not really much of an issue with letting any insects in that we noticed. Overall, quite satifisfied.

Loved the property and location

Our family of 4 stayed here and it provided everything we needed. It was a good location for us and the private beach cove was the best. The kids (both young adults) did complain about how warm the second room was but the fans helped. The air conditioner in the master was great to have, a little loud at times and occasionally woke us,not unlike some hotels. We were very happy to have it. The management company came to great us within 10 min.of arriving as we were still unloading the car and hadnt had a chance to look around. It was a quick 5 min visit and felt very rushed. Not that we needed to be walked through but it would have been nice to have little bit longer to check things out just in case we did have any questions. The kitchen had everything we needed, although the pans could be replaced. They served their purpose but were hard to clean. All in all it was a great place for the price, we would return again.

Private beach was a nice treat, great market and restaurants nearby. Will definitely book again!
