We attended a wedding in the valley and staying here was so much better than a hotel. The home is beautiful with everything we needed and the location made it easy to get to all of our events. We would definitely stay here again !

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. Property was very clean and accessible. There are very helpful notes and labeling all over the house which allows you to get acclimated very quickly. The hot tub was a treat and the property itself is very quiet and private. We loved feeling like you were out in the cou try while being just a few minute drive to downtown. Hope yo stay again

Beautiful property inside and out. Secluded & restorative getaway yet close enough to town for those that may be interested. Excellent basecamp for hiking the surrounding mountains (42.4 miles & 13300 vertical ascent over 5 days).

We loved everything about our stay! Everything was so clean it felt like we were the first guests ever. The location could not be better - minutes to to Los Olivos and Solvang but out in the country on a little hill. We loved hanging out on the long covered veranda or inside where the living space has an entire wall that opens to the outside (with a screen!). Everything is spacious and so comfortable. Two beautiful full baths and a powder room with laundry! Super nice sheets and bedding. Of all the places we stayed, we have never had everything so easy - all the light switches were even labeled as well as how to work the locks! There is also a little notebook about the house and places to go which I think every VRBO house should have. The host, Todd, was super responsive and could not have been more helpful and kind! You won't find a better spot in this area!!!

We had a great stay at the property which is well manicured, clean, and comfortable. Ample room for two couples, great outdoor seating areas to enjoy the beautiful views. Wifi is spotty. Otherwise, all great.

This was our second visit to the Santa Ynez Valley as well as our stay at the property in the last year. It again was a wonderful place to stay (this time for two weeks) in a great setting with stellar views. While weather was cooler and more rainy than usual, which limited our use of the great outdoor spaces this time, it did not deter from our enjoyment of the area and the house. We hope to return again next year, without hesitation, for our winter getaway.

This really is a stunning place to stay, even during winter rainstorms. Todd is totally on top of things, and was very responsive. We'd love to come back.

Wonderfully clean and quiet house, with all the kitchen things you’d ever need. Freshly renovated and an ideal location for hiking, wine tasting, or enjoying the great restaurants around the valley. We hope to return!

Todd's house was perfect for two couples while we were in town for a wedding. We didn't get to take advantage of the hot tub or kitchen but everything looked really well stocked. The house is very nicely updated and maintained. Only 5 mins drive to downtown Solvang so location is great. Would definitely stay again if we're back in the area!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend away in wine country. Todd and Jodi were awesome hosts and their home is quiet, private, very clean and comfortable. It’s a convenient home base for exploring the area, and so nice to come back to at the end of the day. We will definitely stay here again!

The house is charming and very well appointed. Loved having coffee on the patio overlooking the eucalyptus grove while listening to songbirds and the occasional cow moo. Todd and Jodi provided a thorough overview of where to eat, taste wine, and explore. Hope to be back soon.

This vacation home and property surrounding it were everything it listed that we needed as a family and MORE. Its even more beautiful in person, the home and property. Very spacious with country and nature views and breezes out every window . Every accomodation asethetically and practically one would need to cozy up to a wine country experience reset and relax with natures music and modern comfort. We came up with our adult children and toddler grandaughter for our sons wedding in Santa Ynez. Literally all venues were a 5-20 minute roll down gorgeous country roads to Solvang town and many wineries in Santa Ynez and other joys. The owner Todd went above and beyond to make our stay detailed to our families needs and gave amazing recommendations for wineries that lined up with our love in caring for the land , via growing grapes and connecting with people like us who visited . . We could not have been more happy with our choice of our Hosts and this country Home during this special family celebration. Thanks so much to Todd and Jody and for sharing their precious country gem with our family in making magnificent family memories . We will be back hopefully in the fall, and cozy up with their enchanting fireplace to watch the Fall leaves.

My cousin and I had a great get away to pick up some wine at some Santa Ynez wineries. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. Thank you for a great vacation spot!

We loved the location and the house. It was close to everything but in a very quiet rural neighborhood with wonderful views. One important aspect of any rental is the comfort of the beds - they were great and provided a wonderful night's sleep. We would definitely rent this property again if we travel to the area.

Our stay at this house was wonderful! We did not want to leave! Everything was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The house is deocrated beautifully. The outdoor patio was my favorite spot to relax with wine while looking at the beautiful scenery! We did not use the hot tub, but it definitely adds to the value of the stay! The kitchen had coffee and tea stocked, which was really nice. There were also tons of games in the closet. The property is a 5 minute (if that) drive to downtown Solvang. There are tons of restaurants and tasting rooms very close by! Definitely recommend staying at this property! We will be back!

We will definitely be renting this property again. It was beautiful, comfortable and so convenient. We had the best weekend with our two friends. Highly recommend.

The perfect weekend getaway in wine country with friends.

We had a great, relaxing time here. Our kiddo loved the porch swing and tree swing. The property itself was great, and the highlight was the beds! Very comfy and we hope to be back for a longer stay!

This property was ideal for two couples touring local wineries for a week. The property has a great central location. The owner was very communicative and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and wineries. I would stay at this property again.

We enjoyed our visit to Solvang and the surrounding area, and had a pleasant stay at Todd and Jodi's house. It was just my husband and I and the house was very comfortable for the two of us. We would have enjoyed a functioning fireplace for the rare full day of rain (5.5 inches!) while we settled in to watch movies, etc., but the listing had informed us that it was out of commission. As other reviewers have pointed out, the kitchen is very nicely appointed and the king size bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed watching all the birds searching for food on the ground beneath the olive trees and seeking shelter from the rain in the vines under the overhang by the front door. The pastoral setting was very nice for a relaxing visit.

This was our second time at this excellent property. We enjoyed it as much as we did the first time. Clean, quiet, well-furnished, well-equipped kitchen, very communicative property owner. What more could we ask for?

Our first family Christmas not in our own home and we could not have chosen a better location. This beautiful home on this beautiful piece of land with majestic views was well stocked and had everything we could possibly want or need. An absolute pleasure.

The property is exactly as indicated in the photo's and then some. There is every possible utensil and convenience you could wish for. We will go back again and again. There is no reason for us to look further!!!!!

Beautiful home, great location. Will stay again

The location of this home is fantastic, you can't do much better in that regard. You'll get an exhaustive 'home manual' with your check-in instructions. It says that there are two keys, one for the house and one for the hot tub. When I opened the lockbox, there was only a single key. Fortunately there was no lock on the hot tub, so I guess the instructions just need to be updated. The experience was really a dichotomy for us. The kitchen is among the best we've seen in a VRBO. The 'living room' and dining area, less so. It's just not a comfortable space to hang out, and the furniture is not laid out in a functional way. Super comfortable beds and bedding, but only four towels and four hot tub towels in the whole house. And they all have that unmistakeable 'too-many-trips-in-the-dryer' smell. Owners need to make a bed, bath and beyond trip and get a bunch of towel sets. Fixed, and for cheap. Speaking of the dryer, one is provided... but the manual says 'we prefer you not use the washer and dryer'. This came off as really passive aggressive to our group. Like, either don't provide them at all or don't tell us we shouldn't use them. Your choice. There are homemade labels on things like hangars and bottles of hand sanitizer that say 'property of...' the owners. There is a letter posted in each bathroom admonishing guests to not steal the toiletries. At this price point, we felt that this was really over the top. They tell you that you can't use the hot tub after 9pm, despite the fact that legal quiet hours in the area start at 10pm during the week, and midnight on the weekends. The overall vibe for us was: "Please enjoy our home in the way we want you to enjoy it. Don't make yourself at home." I expect a little more at this price point in terms of amenities and approach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Solvang, and in this gorgeous vacation home. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and in a equally beautiful setting. We could not have asked for a better place to be for our 4-day weekend in Sta. Ynez wine country. Sitting outside under the olive trees, listening to birds and the goats in the distance, and taking in the lovely surroundings of the 5 acre property -- this was the definition of relaxation! The hot tub was an extra bonus! Todd was a gracious host. The extensive information he provided was excellent, and very helpful to us in making our weekend plans. And I LOVE how organized (and labeled!) everything was in the house. I manage vacation properties too, so whenever we rent a VRBO place, I am very attuned to how a vacation home is managed. Todd and his lovely home get an AA++ in my book! Thank you, Todd, for sharing your lovely home with us - I can see why you say this home is "your happy place"!
