Frank was very helpful! He has everything you can think of. I brought an air mattress and sheets - he already had one! The bed was comfortable! Everything was labeled! It was so nice to be able to come back to something quiet and quaint at nice and not just a hotel.

I took my 3 teens/tweens to see the historic sights of DC and this apartment was a great home base. Easy walk to Metro and bus-stops. no concerns with the neighborhood - we parked the car right in front of the house and left it there with no concerns/problems. Easy to find food choices in the neighborhood as well

We loved staying at Frank's beautiful property in a convenient neighborhood. He was a deligtful host, very accommodating and helpful. He communicated with us every step of the way, and we were so appreciative to find this gem in my favorite American city. The space is clean and comfortable, and we loved the bed pillows so much we came home and bought some for our house. I've been to DC many times, and this was my favorite visit, in no small part due to our stay at this location.

This was a wonderful base for exploring D.C. Just blocks from excellent restaurants and transportation. Beautiful neighborhood in the city.

The apartment was in a great location, easy to get to the metro, shops and restaurants, but on a quiet street. Frank was a great host, and the apartment was set up nicely. I’ll definitely check to see if it’s available next time I visit DC.

Frank was so hospitable and kind. The location of this property is fantastic- near the National mall and within walking distance of great restaurants, grocery stores, and bus/metro stations. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils. Frank also provided a shopping cart, reusable grocery bags, and umbrellas. There is some road noise which is to be expected.

We stayed here for a long weekend and the location was great. Frank was very helpful in answering questions in a timely manor.

Great location for Dupont Circle and U Street area. Many restaurants on 14th St. and Aslin brewery 1 block away. Ustreet metro 9 minute walk. Plenty of room and host Frank is just fantastic.National mall is 1.7 miles south or 37 minute walk according to Google Will stay again for sure.

We had a wonderful time ! Nice apartment with an amazing host. The location is great close to buses, subway and the only couple blocks from restaurants and bars.

Firstly, Frank is a 5 star host with the most!! So very accommodating with a great sense of humor too :) The location is fabulous, in walking distance to amazing restaurants, shopping, Metro and the apartment was perfect for two of us. Easy and secure access with everything you need! We will be back for sure :)

Overall, this is a great apartment in a beautiful location-easy to public transportation and walking distance to major attractions as well as great cafes, bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!

This was a nice basement apartment in a really great neighborhood. The restaurants in the area were great and easy to walk to. It was a really comfortable stay and Frank was great with communication!

Attend conferences in DC. Good communication with landlord. Everything is great, there’s a minor thing, the mattress in the master bedroom is old, kind of losing support. Perhaps landlord could replace one for future guest. Other than that, this location is center to everything. Great for walking to restaurants or shops.

My twin boys and I had the most amazing trip to DC! The icing on the top was Frank’s apartment! It is in the perfect location to get around and walking distance to many fantastic restaurants! Frank has thought of everything! The apartment has a full kitchen, washer & dryer, pullout couch as well as air mattresses. If Frank doesn’t have what you need I would be shocked. Parking is tricky so pay attention to the signs. I was able to park right in front of the apartment all but one day during our stay. Additionally, if you need anything Frank responds in seconds! You can’t go wrong staying here!

The check-in process was seamless. The apartment had everything that my family of four needed. My teen girls slept on the sleeper sofa and said it was really comfortable. We felt very safe walking around the neighborhood day and night. A ton of great restaurants within a block away from the apartment. Frank was a wonderful host. We can't wait to return.

Having never visited Washington before - wanted to stay somewhat close to the sites and action but in a neighborhood with a fun local vibe - this delivered on both of these. Close to the metro and lots of bus stops - was also easy to grab coffee or a late night drink. Frank was polite and prompt and the place was exactly as described. Would stay here again.

We took our grandson to DC for his 10th Birthday. This property was excellent for all our purposes. Being a basement apartment in a DC Brownstown added to the historical perspective we were hoping to instill in our grandson. We found the apartment to be both charming and well equipped. The location couldn't have been better for us. The Metrorail Station was a short 10 minute and Metro bus stops were only a block or two distant. We chose to use the Metrorail as the routes and connections made it easy to get to our destinations both on the National Mall and the Nationals Ball Park.Our host provided us with a binder of detailed information both about the apartment and the surrounding area. Prior to arriving in DC, our host was exstremely communicative in answering any and all of our questions regarding the property. Upon request you can get a parking permit for the duration of your stay. We are looking forward to returning to DC and to staying at this apartment again soon.

Frank was very communicative, and the apartment was well stocked and prepared for short term guests. The location was great as well, we could walk 5 minutes and enjoy many restaurants and 40 minutes to the mall. We felt safe staying here, too. Thanks for the great apartment!

We stayed in this property to attend a conference at the Walter E Washington Convention center. The location was within walking distance to the convention center, the National mall, plenty of places to eat. The owner had clear instructions for our stay! Would recommend!

We stayed in Franks basement apartment for a short visit to Washington DC. He was amazing at communication and even talked me through parking in DC, which for a family from the country, was much appreciated. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt completely safe the whole Time. Frank’s place was perfect for our adventure in DC! Close to bus routes that take you to all the attractions. Frank really thought of everything from all the helpful notes to the grocery cart and metro cards. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

We had a great time visiting DC and a significant factor contributing to this was our stay at Frank’s apartment. Its location is in a quiet, traditional neighborhood that allows pleasant walks to a multitude of eating establishments and grocery stores. It is also a walkable distance to many historic sites including the White House. Frank is a great host who is excellent at responding with clear, comprehensive communications. In addition, Frank went the extra mile by providing his help to ensure our experience was excellent. We highly recommend a stay at Frank’s apartment when visiting our nation’s capital.

Frank's garden-level apartment is in a fabulous location. Beautiful neighborhood and near lots of great restaurants and bars. The apartment was clean and well stocked, but the shower/tub could stand for some sprucing up.

Can’t beat the location and the price is absolutely appropriate and unbeatable. And what the apartment lacks in “fancy” (It was built in 1890.) is more than made up for by the top-notch communication from Frank. We had a toilet issue upon arrival and though he was traveling abroad, Frank responded almost immediately and kept us updated as a plumber was en route. He went above and beyond to resolve the situation. Traveling with a teen and tween to hit all the DC tourist stops, this location and set-up were great!

The property is well maintained and conveniently located in a trendy neighborhood. There are several public transportation options within walking distance of the location. Many historical sites are within 20 minutes away. Frank is a responsive host who has thought of almost everything. The informational binder answered a lot of questions first timers might have and Frank thought to include Metro cards (for public transportation). We enjoyed our stay and if we go back to the DC area we would stay there again.
