My wife and I and our teenage daughters stayed here for two weeks this August. The house is simple and adorable and is a 4-minute walk to the beach. The availability of beach chairs and a beach umbrella was a big plus. The property manager wouldn't tell us if these were available, but the property manger's communication was otherwise excellent. Grilling in the back of the house, overlooking the creek, was a particular pleasure. Do get a tide chart app so you can figure out when you can take walks on the beach. We would love to come back.

The cottage was really lovely. It was a really nice size for my husband and I. There were so many thoughtful amenities that made the stay really nice. Communication with the property manager was really fast and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

The stay at Seashell cottage is a joy for the soul.
Perfection. The house is lovingly restored by the friendly owners,Dr Susan and Michael. They’ve spared no effort or expense in providing every imaginable amenity for the comfort of their guests.Starting from the state of the art fireplace and modern kitchen, to the comfortable bed. Everywhere you look there’s beauty combined with functionality..The kitchen- well stocked. The laundry place with every cleaning product provided. The beautiful antique stain glass windows have been transported by the owner from his own home to install here. The antique furniture is exhibition worthy and cozy
The house is in a quiet lane, a stone’s throw from the fabulous Miramar beach.
And there’s a garden tended to regularly
And to top it all off, a brook runs behind the private porch.
It was truly a privilege to be able to spend several weeks in this exquisite, quiet, private place

Our family loved the Seashell Cottage for our spring break trip to Southern California. The cottage sits along a pretty little creek, which provided great ambiance for sleeping. The weather was a a bit rough for us and the surrounding community, but the location was still wonderful. Quick access to the beach and quick drives to downtown Santa Barbara and Montecito allowed for amazing restaurant and shopping options. The setup worked well for my wife and I as well as our two teenage kids. We would definitely stay here again, if the opportunity were to arise, and hopefully the weather would cooperate to take advantage of the backyard deck and close beach access. Thank you for allowing us to stay, we had a great time!

Classic beach cottage
Seashell cottage is a unique, classic beach cottage, enlivened by distinct nautical antiques and souvenirs tastefully arranged by the owner. It feels like a well-loved retreat. Sitting on the back deck overlooking Montecito creek is almost as enchanting as strolling down to the beach. Peaceful delights await either way.

Good but could be great
Darling cottage with a great location. Both patios were an added bonus. Cottage needs a bit of updating. and more thorough cleaning. Pillows on chairs and couches were stained. Kitchen drawers had crumbs of food in them. There were no screens on any of the windows which was a bit of an inconvenience since the cottage has no AC. Overall a good experience but definitely could be improved.

perfect location for a beach holiday
The Seashell Cottage was perfect for our weekend stay in Santa Barbara. We loved the proximity to the beach (4 min walk)! The master bed was comfortable and they porvided lots of extra pillows and bedding. The washer and dryer on the back patio was definitely a bonus as well. Loved this charming little cottage.

Clean, well appointed. There is more little pieces of furniture in the bedrooms than needed, but this was an easy fix for a family who likes space vs. little tables and chairs. Would recommend and return! Thanks!

A lovely somewhat old fashioned cottage, spacious enough to have my grandkids and dog w me two block
My experience was great, my goal was to find a dog friendly place near the beach. This is it. The only thing missing was a dishwasher which would make it perfect. I will return next year.

Lovely little cottage- the fireplace did not work, alas- but the heater kept us toasty warm.

Great vacation getaway
Upon arriving, we were nervous about the proximity to the railroad tracks and the noise that it might cause but it wasn’t a problem at all. Great spot close to the beach and close to lots of fun things to do.

Perfect Location plus Beautiful Beach Cottage!
The Seashell Cottage is located near Hammonds Beach (which is our family's favorite beach). It's roughly a 3-4 minute walk. The cottage is situated amongst homes in a quiet location that borders a seasonal creek in the back garden. The bed was terrific, the kitchen well-equipped, and the fireplace was enjoyed. Nicely decorated and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful location, well equipped. Would definitely go back. The management service from Paradise Properties was excellent. A grab bar in the bathroom bath would be a good improvement. Ideal location providing 5 minute access to beach and quick access to restaurants and cafes in Montecito and Santa Barbara.

Amazing as always
we come here every year for our anniversary. this year there was a mix up with our house and it was not ready, we were put into a large home within 20 minutes of the mix up happening with no additional charge. We love these properties, they back up to a greenbelt covered with trees and the walk to the beach is short, less than five minutes. its always hard to leave. the cottages have everything you need, beach towels, umbrellas, cooking utensils, comfortable beds we love it.

Darling Cottage
This is a charming beach cottage. We stayed here for 3 nights in the Spring of 2015. We would like to rent again someday. It's tucked into a neighborhood but we had no trouble finding it.
There is a front and back area to enjoy a cup of coffee outside. It's a short 2 block walk to a rocky beach.
The property is a home that is divided by a locked door. There were other guests there but we didn't hear them. My only wish is that it had a king size bed!

Would rent again...
We had a delightful stay. The only misleading statement was proximity to the beach and I would say it is more like a 2 block walk to the beach. The beach is mainly rocks; I recommend Summerland Beach which is about 1 mile away and is wonderful. We love the area and enjoyed Whale Watching along with shopping too. Quiet and peaceful. Restaurants we have loved for years include Cava, Piatti's, Lucky's, Giovanni's Pizza, The Harbor House (Stearns Wharf).
