The owners, Heidi and Hubert, were very friendly and helpful. Their home-made breakfast was fantastic and the facilities were very clean and well maintained.

El ambient familiar i la simpatia de la parella que ens atés. El lloc es privilegiat , envoltat de grans muntanyes, un gran llac , cases tipiques… Ideal per la gent que li agrada la tranquilitat i la muntanya.

Hubert and his wife are very lovely hosts, the apartment is very clean and modern, bed is cozy and comfortable. Location is very accessible , Parking space is available directly at the door, area is quiet and near the hiking sites. I would have stayed longer if I could! But I'll definitely come back! Thank you again, Hubert!!!!

One of the best places we’ve stayed in away from home. The hosts were fantastic and extremely friendly. They made us fresh omelette in the morning and recommended places to see in Hallstatt. They also let us park the car there even after we checked out.

The accommodation is homely,nicely decorated and clean.

Everything! The hosts were the best!, Breakfast was amazing! We wished we would have stayed another night, instead of in Zell Am See. Thanks, for the suggestion on seeing the Ice Caves, and five fingers. We would stay there again.

The beds are old and simple, not very comfortable. No curtain in the shower to stop the water from fludding.

Perfect location, close to the lake and quiet at the same time. About 3 miles from Hallstatt. Free parking with a plenty of space on both sides of the house. Very good breakfast with a bit of everything including vegetables and fresh fruit. Eggs and honey from their own household. The hosts, a family couple, are very friendly and willing to help. We had two rooms with veranda and separate exit into the yard with a green grass and a stream. Our children liked it immensely.

Beautiful location convenient for train and lakeside. Small B&B run by caring hosts, lots of personal touches. The room was modern and clean, with access to charming garden and stream. Breakfast included freshly made omelette as well as usual options.

Rather expensive- I guess because close to Hallstatt.

B&B Simmer was one of the most beautiful places to stay. Both Heidi and Hubert were the most accommodating hosts we have ever experienced. Nothing was an issue to them. Both well informed on the area. Halstatt is beautiful, but very crowded so it was nice to go back to Obertraun and relax. When we arrived early Heidi advised our room was ready, so we dropped our bags and hired a couple of well maintained bicycles from Hubert to ride into Hallstatt. An easy scenic ride on a bike/walking track with a lock provided by Hubert to secure the bikes. Car parking is full on in Hallstatt so bicycles was easy. From Obertraun we had the option of the local bus operating till 7pm (10 euro rtn for two people), hire bikes or the ferry to get to Hallstatt from B&B Simmer, so no point staying in Hallstatt at high accommodation prices with Obertraun just up the road. In fact we enjoyed Obertraun more with it's laid back atmosphere (and Huberts sense of humour). Breakfast was absolutely divine with cereal, omelets, fresh fruit and homemade cakes plus a cappuccino made by the best host ever, Heidi. If you are visiting Hallstatt then stay in Obertraun at B&B Simmer. You won't regret it with Heidi and Hubert.

Very helpful hosts in answering any questions & giving great tips for travelling & things to do in Obertraun. Freshly prepared breakfast was included with this deal, which was great.

Rate could've been little cheaper or offer discounted bike renting for people staying in B&B Simmer

It is quite close to the train station and the boat to Hallstatt.

It does not provide washing machine. When we asked the landlord whether they provide laundry services, there was no reply. So we washed the clothes by ourselves, all of a sudden the landlord charged us extra cleaning fee for hanging the clothes in the room, which is ridiculous. Not going to book this accommodation again.

My husband, teenage son and I had a wonderful three-night stay at this B&B in the quiet town of Obertraun. Heidi and Hubert are kind, friendly hosts and very helpful guides to local attractions beyond the compulsory visit to lovely Hallstatt. The room was clean, comfortable and modern. Breakfasts were generous and delicious.
