The apartment is a very clean and convenient spot and is quintessentially the Balboa Island feel that I know and love! Sharon is a wonderful host and went out of her way to make our stay all it could be. I highly recommend it. Thank you Sharon!

Small little guest suite on top of the garage. Perfect for our small family. We had a 7 month old and wanted it to be convenient and walking distance to the beach and Marine Ave. Irvine Ranch Market was right around the corner for us to get water. The house was stocked with all necessary cookware. Parking available in garage. No AC but fans all over. Would run into the other family staying in the home portion but we didn’t bother each other. We loved it and would stay again.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was close to downtown, very clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of space to relax. We would absolutely stay here again.

The location is perfect in Balboa Island with easy access to the everything on Marine Avenue or the ferry to get across the water.
The apartment was perfect size with accommodations for a family of 3. The layout is very open and has a great ocean breeze from all the windows.
You can hear the neighbors next door if they talk loud, but it that wasn’t bad. All in all, it was a great location and stay. Sharon responded instantly with trying to help us get parking situated. We look forward to staying here again!

Ideal location on Marine Ave……Balboa’s Rodeo Drive!…..close to shops and eateries. Very clean & well stocked with all necessities. Beachy charm. Steep stairs to upstairs challenging for octogenarians! Extra twin bed “ cubby” is perfect for a guest. Very welcoming & attentive landlord Sharon. Highly recommended!

We are huge Fans of this "immensely charming apartment" in the heart of Balboa Island. We live on the island so our standards were high for our guests that needed more room than our abode had to offer. The place was so nice I think they wanted to stay on their private patios and the lovely sun-lit rooms for solace from the real world. The Host Sharon couldn't have been better for communicating and answering any questions we had. Need more stars all the way around!!!!!

The apartment was perfect for my stay. The bed in The master bedroom is very comfortable. The kitchen has all the amenities you need and the living room area is roomy enough if you have two people . I traveled alone on this trip. It’s a half a block from the shopping area on Balboa island and a half a block from the Bay. Fabulous. I would definitely stay there again..

Great location on Marine Avenue, just steps away from Newport Bay. Perfect walk-up apartment for two. The large open patio off the dining area was great for relaxing and enjoying the cool ocean breeze. Parking space in the garage was convenient, as well as the washer/dryer. Neighborhood is quiet at night, but jets taking off from nearby John Wayne Airport fly over the island and are noisy at times. My husband and I always enjoy staying on Balboa Island. It hold many memories for us of family vacations since the 1950’s.

Nice apartment..perfect for 2 plus a little one…second floor walk up so not good for anyone with mobility concerns - apartment patio deck is right next to master of the front house…so we had to really be quiet when talking out there…kitchen very well equipped…perfect location on the island….overall great stay! Would stay again…

Father & teen son LOVED their stay. While finding the unit was a bit confusing in the dark, they very much enjoyed their visit. Location and island was perfect!

This was a perfect place for our friends who were visiting from France. They loved staying near the shops and restaurants and the small-town feel that Balboa Island provides.
The unit was delightful and comfortable. Sharon did a fantastic job of making sure that everything was in place - and followed up during the stay. We will definitely look for this unit next time.

Our visit on Balboa Island could not have been better. Sharon was a wonderful host, making us feel welcome on arrival. The apartment is perfect for a couple, very private and has everything you would need. The location was best on the island, right up the street from all the shops and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet. Parking was easy too. We can’t wait to come back!

Sharon's little cottage is both immaculate and welcoming., offering everything needed for a super comfortable stay. Situated just seconds from the water and the charming main street, it is tucked away from the street in a quiet, private setting. I hope to return again... and again! It's simply perfect!

Beach loft ... Great for 2 adults and maybe a child. We arrived the final night of the boat parade and there were no parking spaces to be found. I checked in with owner and we were able to share the garage with the front house renters. That night after walking the perimeter of the island to see all the lights and decoration there was a fabulous fireworks show that we could see perfectly from the terrace. I love getting up in the dark and walking the dog when there are no cars and people . The Island shops are fun and I was able to get several last minute gifts. the loft is in a perfect location ... close to beach, restaurants and shops. The kitchen is well stocked. Great time!

This property was exactly what we were looking for! We wanted something quaint and charming for just my husband and I and one of our adult kids. It was perfect! It was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor patio was amazing for relaxing with our morning coffee and evening glass of wine. Sharon, the owner, was so accommodating and available for any and all questions. Just a stress free experience. We had an incredible time! We highly reccommend!

Super Clean & Perfect Balboa location
With just steps to the waterfront we can get our walk in by spinning around the circumference of the island, pick up take out in a flash, can sit down at Wilma’s in two minutes from the Cottage, BBQ some salmon downstairs, or we just walk to the ferry to enjoy the Newport Landing Happy Hour. We drove five minutes to Pacific Electric Boat rental for a Duffy Boat ride in first class boats or we like to drive to Jon’s Fish at Dana Point Harbor for the best sea bass we’ve ever had on their patio. The Cottage is open airy and bright and the owner is super helpful. Enjoy!

This cottage was in a perfect location, walking distance to everything. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable and right at home. It was very peaceful and quiet at night. We really appreciated being able to park our car in the garage because parking spaces are hard to find on Balboa Island. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to go back.

Great location for a quaint getaway in a unique “Americana” town! Easy walking distance to shops, good food, bike rentals, and a great little market less that a block away. Garage access was appreciated due to limited parking and the cottage looked just like the pictures.

Perfect size
The cottage was an awesome place to stay. There was the perfect amount of space for the three of us. We were walking distance to a lot of restaurants and other activities. Our son enjoyed the close proximity to balboa bars and cookies. The only problem was I wish we could stay longer.

Great Experience
Great communication with the property management. Had a small repair that was needed and she came by that night and had it fixed. We loved the location, close to entertainment, beach and dining. Highly recommend this property.

Perfect, peaceful hideaway
The perfect set-up for what we needed. A great space that is perfectly located between the stores and restaurants, the bay and the canal… Everything you could want is right there, parking included too… It really allowed us to totally relax and simply escape a difficult time… We truly loved it and so needed it… Recommend in every way!!
