I like the location but lack of parking space was a huge problem

I didn't like the uncleanliness of the hotel, alot of stains on the carpet and the was of the toilet were dusty.

The location is great. Close to Essen Rüttensheid and Zentrum. The staff (cleaner and the man at the reception desk) was helpful and friendly.

I ended up not staying at the hotel as I left on the day I checked in. When I arrived, the internet didn't work. The cleaner suggested I call the number (which connected to the owner). I called and I was told that he would come. However, the internet was not fixed till around 5 PM as the receptionist came and fixed it. Then, as I was about to use the bad, I noticed there were bugs. I tried to tell the receptionist and he suggested I call the 'owner' again. Unfortunately, I was told that there's no room and it's my fault that I didn't tell this earlier. I couldn't accept this as I would not sleep on a bed with bugs. He suggested I stay till the following day and got another room. I asked for my money back. However, that's not possible either. Overall, it was a bad experience and I guess I just gave the money to a hotel where I didn't stay at all.

It was a very convinient location. I liked the supermarket close by and the second entrance.

The facility was supposed to be smoke free, but the staircase and outside there was too much smoking so it smelled awful and you couldn't have the window opened.
