The location of the apartment was absolutely superb. Located very centrally close to the Vatican (reached in less than 5 minutes on foot) in a quiet part of Rome. The view from the balcony was great as well, with St. Peter's Basilica being fully visible just in front of you. Our host Pietro was also very kind and helpful, as well as being readily available via WhatsApp at all times. We also received a nice welcoming gifts, with drinks and some food being presented to us in the room upon arrival. We couldn't have been happier with our stay in Rome!

The host was excellent, very accommodating and you cant beat the location. At least 4 of the 7-8 restaurants within walking distance were rated over 4.5 and it was within 5 minutes of the Vatican! Would definitely go back!

Not the easiest apartment to find, (lots of apartments with names on the door buzzers); but could not see Merulana suite name on any of them, so began to worry - subsequently phoned the owner, who informed me he would be 'over soon'. Once we met, he was very informative, and did explain the reason. I found him to be very helpful, and the apartment was really nice, (just such a shame it is not "named" on any of the numerous door buzzers).

Great hospitality and a warm welcome awaits you. The penthouse apartment has a lovely balcony for afternoon sun and a view of the Vatican Dome. A comfy sofa bed, double bed and a kitchen with everything you needed. Tip. Its a bright apartment so take an eyemask if you like to sleep in ! A lovely complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits too ! Takes about 10 minutes to walk to the river and then everything is within walking distance. A great place to stay. Quiet in the evenings but close enough to walk to all the nightlife of restaraunts and bars. We are two friends who stayed here and we felt safe in the apartment and also walking into town. Thankyou for a great trip. We would definitely stay here again.

The very convenient location of the apartment allows you to easily and quickly reach the important sights of Rome, either on foot (the Vatican is a couple of minutes walk) or by metro (Ottaviano metro station is a 20-minute walk). The apartment was clean and pleasant, with everything you need; the view from the terrace was beautiful; it was quiet at night. We felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the hosts Pietro and Leonardo!

We met Leonardo at the apartment to collect the keys which was very straightforward. But even before this meeting Leonardo couldn't be more helpful. He gave us lots of tips on what to see and do while in Rome and all were very helpful. The location is perfect, just 5mins walk from the Vatican. It's on the 6th floor so has great views of St Peters basilica. Having breakfast on the balcony looking over to this was perfect. Highly recommend and Leonardo goes above and beyond to help.

- spacious, clean apartment, very comfortable to live, fully equipped, with a beautiful view of the Vatican - great location, everywhere close - to the bus, train and subway, near a bakery, café, 24-hour supermarket - a huge plus for friendly contact with the caretaker of the apartment

- no prior information about additional tourist tax - 3.5€/person/night, payable only in cash (it is not obvious, not in every country this is the case, I recommend putting this information in the confirmation e-mail, then is possibility to prepare cash) - besides, no downsides, was great

The location is amazing. Very central and close to few bus stops. Also quiet during the night. Leonardo was really helpful and accommodated fully our needs. Very big flat, with air conditioning / heating system in each room. Welcome present as well. Possibility to leave the luggage after check out. Very clean.

Shower hanger is broken in one of the two bathrooms. I have also found a bit difficult to communicate via Booking.com at the beginning
