I stayed for 21 nights and everything was perfect! Nice clean room that has a washing machine and a dryer👍Very comfortable and you also have a smart TV with netflix. The host was super friendly and gives great recommendations for the area. Location was good and you can walk to the closest beach. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Would definitely recommend for a solo trip or with a friend. A cozy suite with basically all the necessities needed being away from home including a washer and dryer in the room and lounge chairs outside. Really enjoyed my time there and the host William made me feel welcomed. There's also a pool on the property, breakfast for a fee on morning times and happy hour near the pool at nights to mingle with the other guests and staff and also not too far from The Arawak Cay also known as Fish Fry. I mean you can't go wrong by booking and seeing/experiencing for yourself.

William is a great host. We felt like at home. He gave us good addresses to eat. Do not hesitate to come to the happy hour around thé swimming pool : you will spend good time and enjoy free cocktails.

The unit has everything needed. Having a kitchenette is a great option to not have to go out to eat all the time. Location is great, with a convenience store within 5 min walk, restaurant & liquor store about 10 min away, and fish fry about 15 min walk away. William was a great host and always responsive to my questions on WhatsApp. The nightly poolside happy hour is definitely the highlight of the stay.

Everything worked out for me. When it rained, the road outside can be quite flooded. So it's definitely more convenient to have a car.

It is a very nice studio apartment in a great location! The area is gated and the host is very nice and helpful! They have free cocktails for happy hour daily next door and it is within great walking distance to everything! Great Experience!

Great rooms, everything you need! Staff were super friendly and helpful, the pool area was lovely, and even had free rum punch in the evening! Felt very safe and was a nice area.

Location was good, only 15 mins to fish fry which was so much fun! A lot further walk to the town, maybe 30-40 mins.

The Studio apartment is about 2KM from Nassau itself and about 500m from Saunders beach which we frequented regularly. William is the perfect Host and nothing was too much trouble. He is kind , accommodating and great fun to be around. Every night there was Happy Hour next to the swimming pool which went on for well over an hour! All drinks were free including Barman Kenny's industrial strength Rum Punch:>) Everyone was so welcoming and helpful and it was a wonderful experience which we must repeat.

The studio is located in the local area of Nassau within walkable distance to places like Junkanoo Beach, Arawak Cay, John Watling’s Distillery, Queen’s Staircase, and most of downtown Nassau. There is a bus but I never felt the need to use it. The studio is good for 2 ppl. I liked that it was clean, a kitchen, washer/dryer, and Netflix. It’s basically like having a studio Apt in Nassau. There is no sign for Sandlewood Studios. I just told the taxis Colony Club Inn and Suite. They are connected. You can grab breakfast at Colony Club for $9. There is also a free happy hour at 7-9pm for cocktails. Great way to meet some of the staffs and other guests. Kenny the staff and William the property manager had great energy. William is very responsive if you have any issues at the studio. It was a wonderful local experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sandelwood Studios. I chose it mainly because it was the most reasonably-priced place I could find that looked as if it would be clean and comfortable, and sure enough, it was. But to my pleasant surprise, it turned out to be more than just a decent, low-priced accommodation. That doesn’t mean it was luxurious—I’m sure that many foreigners coming to the Bahamas would much prefer the super-fancy resorts on Paradise Island. And Sandelwood Studios isn’t in a scenic or high-class neighborhood. But the area was safe, and it was reasonably convenient to downtown, beaches, funky-fun areas etc. As promised by William, the proprietor, guests were welcome every evening to the poolside at the Colony Club next door (owned by relatives of William’s), where free drinks were served and music played. The drinks weren’t fancy daiquiris or things of that sort—rather, just rum and coke, vodka and orange juice, gin and tonic, etc.—but the whole experience was, as William aptly put it, “authentically Bahamian.” The other guests included a beef rancher from Saskatchewan and his wife, a young doctor-lawyer couple from Trinidad, a dazzling lady from Switzerland in the hair extension business, a pilot from Mexico, a French businessman, and three fun-loving Polish girls. We were joined by a few Bahamanian locals, everybody’s favorite being the wild and crazy Kenny, who often tended bar. I can’t guarantee that the atmosphere will be as festive as it was during the four nights I was there, but based on my experience, this is a great choice!

Being served breakfast at the Colony Club ($9) can take quite a while! But if you're feeling impatient, remind yourself that you're sitting by the pool in warm weather in pleasant tropical surroundings. Isn't that what you came to the Bahamas for?

Walking to Downtown Nassau wasn’t bad of walk for me. The Beach and other restaurants were in walking distance as well.

Mr. Williams was very friendly and accomodating. Also, amenities are within walking distance.

The staff were great. The pool area was lovely, there was a good breakfast deal with a neighbouring hotel. Its within walking distance to a beach, a small shop and the restaurants at the fish fry.

The room was on the small side. It was a bit of squeeze for all of our bags.

Breakfast was hot, tasty and only $9.00; so we ate to our heart's contentment before heading out to see the sites each day. the studio was clean and self-sufficient with a microwave, frig and cook top. every evening during our stay there was a happy hour of pool side complimentary drinks and music. Should we have another opportunity to visit Nassau we will most definitely arrange to return to Sandelwood Studios. While it is unassuming in apearance, it is a great value. Mr Petty was a gracious host and the Colony Club staff was friendly/helpful.

Signage on property could be better displayed from the street more noticeable to taxi/car service.

I didn’t like the pillows, very thick. But that’s a personal thing. The accomendation is near by good eating places, 5 minutes walk. The center is 20 minutes walk
