The restaurant was closed so no food!!! I had to Go to the campanile totally unacceptable!!!

When we arrived we were told that we could not be with 5 persons in the standard room (with sofa bed). We always stay with our twins of 5 and little girl of 2 in Novotel hotels and never had problems before. They contacted us on the day of arrival in the afternoon, through the messaging system of booking, which we only saw after they had told us. They proposed us to take another room (which means to split the family: not very nice on a family trip...), which we refused. When we asked to cancel the reservation, they were willing to reimburse, but were not able to because it was a booking.com reservation. Although we were promised to be reimbursed, afterwards they refused to reimburse and referred us to the cancellation policy of booking.com. We had a very bad feeling that they were only interested in earning money and not in warmly receiving people in their accommodation. We could stay in the apartment 'Dupain et Dubeurre', 7 minutes away from there and we had an excellent stay.

Helpful staff at check-in booked us a table in a good restaurant nearby ( which was very popular with the locals)

Restaurant wasn’t open in evening but staff had pre-warned us. Hotel was deserted and understaffed out of season, only one person manning the bar, as well as reception.

I wasn’t there long enough

I stayed here as it was near to my toot home. There was a major road closed on the access to the hotel, as I didn’t know the area my sat nav found it really hard to find the property and it took me an hour late at night, just what I was trying to avoid. It would have been nice if a warning could have been given as had I had known it would have been such a problem I would never stayed there !,,

overpriced! the only thing that adds a star to the rating was the pool (although very small).

didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. the staff was friendly and smiling, always checking for our confort.

Food - no snacks or lunch available. At dinner, I asked for chicken burger without tomato and cheese and was told very abruptly this was not possible which seemed very strange and not very professional.
