First impressions good, public rooms attractive and comfortable and clean. Hotel gardens looked attractive with numerous hanging baskets.

We look forward to breakfast at the Swan which was lovely as always. The hotel Location is excellent The Swan is peaceful and comfortable and is out hotel of choice for our annual stay in Harrogate

We’ve previously had bigger twin rooms. This time our room was a little chlostrophobic, beds much too close, and more so as it was warm, but otherwise pleasant, clean and quiet.

There were no evening dinners because of 2 weddings. Also parking difficult on these days. En-suite facilities needed a bit of updating.

Our bedroom was not very clean and the bed sheet had old blood stains that washing had not removed The room above was very noisy and we had to complain to reception

Large & spacious hotel in the heart of Harrogate.

The staff in the restaurant all look shabby with dirty shoes. The moment I noticed it then became really apparent that all staff were the same, but only in the restaurant.

Car Park very limited for size of Hotel Outer Car Park was outer Lift was not always wanting to work If your elderly hard then when lift was on working Key system was difficult for elderly

Fantastic central location. All staff were excellent. Comfortable bed and decent evening meal.

No hot water for the shower but staff did all they could to resolve. Although not fixed, an alternative room was offered.

Hotel is lovely. A fantastic location for the centre of Harrogate. The breakfast is a winner, no continental but the hot breakfast was 10/10.

I stayed in a single room and the bed was on wheels. This made for an uncomfortable nights sleep as everytime I moved, the bed moved. Although it was nice to go to sleep under the window and wake up next to the bathroom. Would not recommend for those wishing to partake in a spot of hanky panky.

Good location, nice lounge area / reception downstairs. Lounge area off our bedroom saved the accommodation as was pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast q good.

For the price the whole hotel needs some attention and the rooms need updating. Curtains in bedroom were torn, decoration v bland, furniture q shabby , old fashioned ( not in a good way) and v scratched . Overall v outdated bedrooms. Dining room was cold. Shame the ready laid fire in reception area wasn’t lit on a v cold ,frosty January day . Would have made everything more welcoming . The staff attitude varied. Some v helpful., friendly and gave good service. Others pompous and unhelpful.

The location is reasonably close to most of Harrogate's facilities, and it looks attractive from the outside.

The room (No. 140) was spacious enough but had no outlook and no colour to it, and was a long way from the lifts or stairs. We found it difficult to sleep as the room was too warm, and we could not find any way to turn the heating down. We didn't have much interaction with the staff who appeared overstretched, possibly more staff needed. We did not expect to have to pay £10 to park overnight! At an hotel?

great location and period building, you can’t expect 5 star for the age but friendly staff and well worth a visit
