Close to night market, aquarium, art gallery. Cairns is a good place to be when leaving early on a Snorkelling Trip , I recommend Sea Star charter max 36 people

Hotel rooms feel like hostel rooms, it's a very basic set up which expensive for what we had on offer, but understandable as it was holiday season. Our room hadn't been vaccumed/mopped properly there was fluff and dirt in the bathroom. Our bed sheets didn't fit the bed, and when we asked for the bed to be remade, housecleaning hadn't replaced the sheet two days in a row. Pigeons nesting right outside the window on the aircon unit will keep you company, if you can put up with the smell and cooing. Management were made aware of the issues, promised to deal with the issues, however nothing resolved. Checkin staff in general were friendly, but seemed disinterested, I think a lot of back packers on staff, who aren't sufficiently trained up, and although the manager was pointed out to us, she seemed to actively avoid customers.

Good location and comfy apartment. We stayed in a loft suite and the spa was great.

Very poor kitchenette - only a tiny bar fridge/no freezer, no microwave or stove/portable stove to cook anything. Not good if your staying for more then a few nights and want to make your own meals.

Staff, Stated I had cancelled a room and I did not! leaving our friends potentially no accommodation avail. With confirmation from bookings.com with 2 rooms booked. Staff found a maintenance room for use, but many people checking in had booking issues. Was a stressful event, and unnecessary for our holiday.

The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and we appreciated all the information she gave us.

The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds.

Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t have all the items on the menu and the food was disappointing for the price.

Room wasn’t ready Shelves were dusty Ants in kitchen area Trip hazard step between the two rooms Wardrobe - clothes space was minimal for four people Bathroom was tiny and hard to manoeuvre in especially with small kids One of the rooms had a slant in the floor which was another trip hazard with young kids Also have two pending payments Have called the hotel to fix payment but no answer at reception for the past two days - can’t leave a message Also was locked outside the hotel when taking bags out to the car - after hours number provided went to the closed reception - eventually someone answered the buzzer on the front door and slowly walked to let us in and looked very unhappy - we were in a rush to get to the airport Also so much noise in the hotel / doors slamming and road noise and given a room furthest away from the lifts with two young children and cars didn’t let us in the room on the first night

Location was very convenient to walk to esplanade and markets near by. 7 mins by taxi from airport. Has been refurbished and looks fresh & crisp.

Room needs another full length mirror. Only a 1/2 mirror in the small bathroom doesn’t allow 2 people to get ready at once. Lift also very jerky but both minor things.

There for 6 nights, no shelves to unpack clothes. Housekeeping was supplying clean towels and empty rubbish, nothing else. Ceiling fan dirty and nothing else wiped down or touched during stay.

a/c did not work (flashing error), beds on wheels kept moving across room every-time we sat on them. May need to consider locks on the caster wheels

Breakfast was included. Reception staffed till 10pm. Welcome Reception area to sit. Luggage storage.

No toilets in reception area. Restaurant not open all nights. Stairs to be cleaned and painted. I was on level 2 so took the stairs instead of lift Staff working in breakfast area to be more welcoming and friendly and happy. Need to great you with a Good Morning and smile.

Aircon didn't work, kept turning off

Surfaces dusty, aircon dirty and covered in bites after using the only warm blanket that was provided in the room that was found in the cupboard
