1-super fantastic location! Close to train station, main tourist attractions, no need for a car.
2-staff were very friendly and accommodating
3- room 23 was amazing and much better than we expected, large with great view of “the victory ship” the beds were exceptionally comfy, and quiet and the modern bathroom, had good hot water pressure.
4 - restaurant had so much atmosphere, breakfast was very hearty with great variety.
5 - welcome drink at the bar was an unexpected pleasure.
There was no faults I could see.

Excellent location between the Historic Dockyard and Gun Wharf Quay, both just a short walk away. About 5 minutes drive to the Wightlink Car Ferry Terminal.
Free parking.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Lage für öv-Reisende super- das ist aber auch schon alles!
- Teppich in Zimmer mit vielen alten Flecken/ Kaugummiresten =eklig
- Zimmer im 1. Stock mit Fenster gegen benachbartes Haus/Innenhof- kein Tageslicht, stank immer nach essen (Fisch/Frittiertes) wenn man lüften wollte
- Zimmerservice vergass altes Badetuch im Zimmer vom Vorgänger/ 1x kein Zimmerservice gemacht /kein wc Papier nachgefüllt
- Morgenmessen mässig- Full Breakfast sehr fettig, restliche Auswahl alles Fertig-Produkte

Alles etwas altmodisch und trotz Modernisierungsversuche heruntergekommen, aber für eine Übernachtung ausreichend.
Frühstück könnte besser organisiert werden.

Doordat mijn vlucht vertraging had arriveerde ik na middernacht in het hotel, vooraf heb ik gebeld met het hotel om mijn aankomsttijd te melden, werd perfect geholpen en bij aankomt kreeg ik van het super aardige personeel nog iets te drinken. Kamer was simpel maar goed.

Bathroom stank of faeces and the whole room had a horrible chemical smell. Whole hotel looked a bit rundown and dingy.

Breakfast was lovely
The location of hotel was perfect. We we right by Gunwharf mall, right by the Warrior warship, stunning views. We walked a few steps and were by fabulous pub. You could walk to the Fish place on the docks and to the pebble beach... ideally located

L'emplacement, juste en face de la gare routière, de gunwalf, et la possibilité de tout faire à pied.
Le personnel est très sympathique et accueillant... le petit déjeuner est copieux, très bon rapport qualité/prix.
Ça grince un peu dans tous les coins, mais cela fait partie du charme de l'hôtel.

The location is excellent. It is close to the railway station, Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Keys. Regarding the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. I must admit the reception looked a bit like the set of Fawlty Towers, but that just added to the charm of the hotel.
My single room was well equipped although rather small. The breakfast was also good value with friendly staff.

The sushi menu, decor, staff, breakfast - very quick to arrive. I found the stairs difficult being disabled there are stairs and some without handrails or only on one side. Otherwise a near perfect score, well done and great value for money as well too.

The historical aspect on the historical dockyard and a perfect location
Nothing. The street aspects in any ‘dock land’ area are usually a bit grubby but the hotel was lovely

Room 16 is not fit for purpose. Bathroom very good but bedroom very poor view and should only be a single not a double.

The money I spent on getting myself and my clothing bed bug free. The staff so unacceptable by hiding the fact that they found a bed bug in my room. Laughing thinking it was funny. To bad it could be a great place

Clean, tidy and good staff both front of house and very much in the dining area. Always had a smile and extremely pleasant & professional. Another good stay.
Asked questions and always had an answer. Very professional in all aspects. Plus may I say worked hard and were very attentive.

Staff very friendly, hotel was clean and comfortable. Location perfect for visiting the Historic Dockyards and old Portsmouth. Trains and other public transport are on the doorstep.

We liked the location.
The air conditioning in the room didn't work, also there were no sockets working in the room so we couldn't charge phones and couldn't have a cup of tea in the morning. for the money we have paid this is simply not acceptable.

Food and service very good. Location excellent for connecting to other transportation, bus, trains, ferries all within walking distance. Nice mall within walking distance as well. This is a great stopover place.

Perfectly located between the historic dockyard and waterfront shops and restaurants. Both within 5 minutes walk.
A bit noisy in street over Saturday night due to taxi rank being outside but this was unavoidable given the location.

Hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were brilliant, food was lovely. They even put a small candle in my Mum's dessert on her Birthday.
Shower floor was extremely slippery, could have done with mugs for coffee reather than cups and saucers.

Great location brilliant staff superb breakfast
The decor was a bit tired and our room didn't get any house keeping service after first night had to ask at reception for more tea and coffee and water bed hadn't been made and tidied.

The Hotel is very central for us and it's walking distance to and from the historical sites. Very happy with our short stay and will stay there again.
No comments, can't think of any faults.

Loved the location, staff were very helpful and breakfast was really lovely.
Wifi is a major problem! Staff tried to accommodate us by changing our room but the problem still persisted, so if you depend on wifi to do any business, I suggest going elsewhere.
