Worst omelettes ever. Breakfast was quite overwhelming, in respect to a very slow toaster. Even my Qantas Club toaster is 3 times faster and cooks better. You need to update it!

The location was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. The bedding was incredibly cozy! The surroundings were lovely, and I enjoyed observing the fish in the courtyard.

My room was fine, although I found the tiles in the bathroom and entrance always damp and slippery. Additionally, my mother had trouble with the wardrobe door in her room. The maintenance staff couldn't fix it properly. Surprisingly, the staff didn't apologize, and there was no compensation for the malfunctioning room.

Close to airport and restaurants

No toiletries supplied in the room, no water supplied either. The beds were small and quite uncomfortable. 4 ppl in a room but only 3 towels supplied. Not what I expected from a Hilton

- good location - lovely friendly staff - really helpful - atmosphere very relaxed

- the corridors outside were smudged with some kind of dirt - the bathroom was dirty on arrival but it was late and by the time we realised we had already unpacked - bathroom is dated and needs gutting and re- doing - I'll spare you the photos - would consider this more of a 3 star hotel than 4 - I've stayed in double tree before and this fell below expectations in terms of hotel styling/decor/cleanliness. Unfortunately I can't think of a worse hotel experience just purely due to the fact that it wasn't the cleanest. Not saying it's totally terrible, it's just expensive for what it is and it sits at the bottom of my experiences. I had a fantastic time in Cairns in spite of the Doubletree and not because of it.

Language barrier

The location is great, and the pool area has a lot of potential, loved the pond inside and doing the fish feeding.

The rooms are incredibly small and basic, the bathroom is tight. The pool looks great until you get in it and see how run down it is, the spa has so many broken tiles that it’s actually a hazard and my 7 year old sliced her foot on it. We were one of 7 people who were at the pool from 10-12 one morning and there were no towels, I tried telling reception that last time I went in there there were no clean towels, she didn’t seem to believe me, we got down there and there was only 3 clean towels and barely any used towels so it appears they aren’t regularly topped up. For the cost there are other places I would stay for the same price which are a lot nicer. We chose this for the heated spa.

No wheelchair access at the restaurant infront of the esplanade.

The Receptionist was very helpful, friendly and professional. The hot cookies on arrival really hit the spot.

The view from our window, the pool and surrounding areas were very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. We would highly recommend to family and friends.

We always choose to stay at Double Tree by Hilton as my kids and I both enjoy the facilities as well as the amazing staff! The location is excellent for our travel needs 😁

Location was perfect and staff were helpful when needed.

We arrived at the hotel and later found 4 cockroaches in our room so were upgraded to another room. Unfortunately this room had a problem with ants and within hours of being in there with no food in the room, they were all over the countertop. We raised this to the reception downstairs and were told that ants were to be expected. They sent someone to clean it up and this was sorted within the hour however they were later found in a different area of the room closer to the bed itself.

On entry to our room we experienced an extreme dust. We both reacted to the dust level. We then were shown another room, the dust appeared to be coming out of the air conditioning. We checked out.

Pool bar is not staffed and often had to chase a member of staff to be able to buy food and drink poolside. Kids would have also liked an option of pancakes for buffet breakfast

Location was perfect, and rooms were spacious, most staff were friendly.

Facilties were dirty, house cleaning was terrible and we were so disapointed. Beds were never made properly, dirty towels were shoved back onto rails (not even folded), there was a clump of hair on the ground when we checked in. Buffet food was cold and area was dirty. The staff were at the vine club didn't even know items on there menu and asked us severeal times to explain what we wanted (was just some cocktails that were listed on there menu). Overall not worth the money there are better places to stay for better value.
