Excellent location, clean and comfortable

Everything. Location is fantastic for activities. Scenery is stunning. Accommodation was reasonably priced . We cannot wait to return.

The evening meal with great with loads of choice and breakfast was lovely too. Great old building with bags of character and plenty of parking. Ideally situated.

If I was really being picky the bed could have been more comfortable.

A beautiful old hotel in an excellent location for walking and outdoor pursuits. We were given a warm welcome and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast and dinner and all meals were excellent - home cooked using good quality ingredients and the portions were huge. You certainly won’t go hungry here!

Staff are friendly

Lack of sound proofing. Could hear everything next door, every word on the television. Every conversation. And the bedroom on the other side - could hear everything in bathroom. Consequently v little sleep and not relaxing or comfortable. The bedroom doors are very heavy for fire reasons . How ever they have not been cut to fit , so big gap at the bottom, letting in light and noise . And the old fashioned key latches that have to be slammed shut and wakes up everyone.stairs aren’t carpeted so it’s very loud noise . They require everyone to book a short time slot for breakfast, stating it’s due to covid restrictions. But there hasn’t been restrictions for 6 months and more. But they like to stick to these rules and not explain anything to customers . Yet not wearing masks . Confusing really.

Old hotel with a lot of charactrer, had the 4 poster suite, which is in a seperate building which is a converted barn, itsan apartment with kitchen as well

Asked for a room with a bath and had to pay £15 more for the privilege. Told is was an upgraded room, but it lacked everything. Disappointed.l

Beautiful setting / location, friendly staff, excellent food ,great bar service and a vast selection of drinks at a good price for a hotel . Downstairs facilities are stunning and comfortable. Extremely welcoming. The fires provide a warm , family type environment Staff were amazing

My room , needed refurbishment, hole in the hallway wall , chipped paint ,too soft a old bed and noisy . My request had been forgotten so I had to go though the embarrassment of getting the changes promised actioned ... I was also told by the young lad on Fri that breakfast was not included and would cost me if I wished to book .However on exiting I was issued with my bill and receipt that clearly stated I had paid for breakfast to be included
