The rooms, food, pool were all great!

Tanoa Waterfront Hotel should be renamed the roach motel. We were in room 215 for 2 nights and killed more than a dozen cockroaches. The variation in size and that they came out of the drawers, the drain, the wardrobe, etc. is a clear indication of an infestation. We never had food in the room. I filled out a comment card and mentioned it to staff but with the quantity of roaches and reviewers on other websites mentioning “bugs”, staff and management have been aware but clearly have not bothered to do anything about it. We’ve travelled the gamut of deep jungles, remote beaches, and congested cities around the world and this was one of our worst experiences. If you don’t mind paying to have cockroaches crawling over your luggage, under your bed, or around your feet while you’re in the bathroom then by all means, book your stay.

They kept running out of pool towels.

The breakfast was nice and I liked the different choices.The location was nice because of the waterfront view.I also liked that you could sit inside or outside.

We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast options were great. The hotel was within walking distance to the shops.

The bed was small. It would have been nice if the bar had opened earlier in the day.

Location is the best, bfast is very good and substantial, staff very friendly and helpful.

Your breakfast buffet was terrible. Potato curry was burnt and tasteless. Ran out of roti. Additional vegetable curries would've been a good option for chicken sausages for us meat lovers. Fresh fruit was great.
