So friendly and great service

The terrace is really nice and peaceful

There was no hot water in our room. After it was fixed, the water was intermittently hot and cold. Pillows were too high and not comfortable. Breakfast was included, however there were only yogurts with granola in the breakfast room and a pricey menu for other things. It turned out that if breakfast is included then you don’t need to pay for the items on the menu, but nobody told us about this until we checked out. As we didn’t want to pay extra, we ended up with a very poor breakfast. They also ask to reserve exact time for breakfast, which is annoying when you are on vacation. They also didn’t want to serve breakfast on the terrace.

On arrival we were greeted by Jack with a friendly welcome. Hotel is lovely and in a stunning location a short walk from Bowness centre. Had the most relaxed 2 day stay, all the staff were lovely, nothing seemed too much trouble. Room was comfortable and quiet with a stunning view of the lake. Food in the restaurant was beautiful and the breakfast delicious with a great choice which made it difficult to choose. The hotel has had a lovely refurbishment. We will definitely return. Wishing them every success on this new venture.

We found this to be a lovely hotel in a beautiful location, not to far from busy Bowness-on-Windermere so that you couldn’t walk to it, however calm enough away with the picturesque side of the Lake District. Hotel and room including the restaurant was lovely and beautifully decorated. The menu was to our preference, right, 5-6 options per course, locally sourced and well presented, tasted excellent. All the staff from reception, bar, managers and owners made you feel welcome and at ease. We have booked again.

The size of the room was brilliant for our little family with a toddler , and the location was perfect

Our room was located over the bar area what was not ideal being with a 2 year old toddler when trying to get her to sleep

The hotel was understaffed so there was a bit of wait sometimes to get served, but everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming!

Hotel was lovely, and the staff were very pleasant. The view of the lake was lovely from our room.

Travel cot had seen better days - and we were charged for it which wasn’t mentioned until checking out. Also a service charge in the restaurant that again wasn’t mentioned until checking out.

Just could do with an update of menu or a specials board, so you're not having to choose the same dishes every night especially during a long stay. Food and service is absolutely not to fault! Just need few more choices.

Fantastic hotel set in a beautiful location. Staff worked hard to ensure everything as you would like. Compliments to the kitchen brigade, what better a way to start the morning than with American pancakes. Rooms clean and excellent views. Perfect location to either walk to Bowness or get a local taxis. Definitely will be back
