the bed was really comfortable.

the decor was outdated in the room and bathroom, the blinds are stained yellow, the carpets were dirty and worn, the room itself had a musty damp smell when I entered it. the pillow slip was dirty, it looked like mascara (have a photo if need be). the towel rail was bent and broken and covered in glue from a previous attempt to fix it. the air vent is in the closet so when neighbours did laundry it rattled through my room and was way too noisey(have video if needed). the wifi didn’t work - I think there should be a notification prior to booking to alert guests as some rely on it to do their work. the lay out was unusual - there’s a random Harry Potter closet that stretches out 2 or 3 metres that only held a garbage bin. I’m usually very chill about things but for the money I paid for per night I was expecting a lot better- the rate is similar to the dolphin quay apartments and their standards were a lot higher with a bigger room, lounge area, a fully equiped kitchen and private laundry facilities- which is what a service apartment is usually like. to be honest, I won’t be rushing back anytime soon. especially with so many other options in Mandurah.

Clean & neat & well maintained. The gardens & pool were great. We felt very secure & other guests were respectful.

The stairs were narrow & you had to be careful. Not recommended for young children or older people. There was only one tea towel & no oven mitts. The dining chairs needed a cushion.

Location

The website shows that the rooms have a view of the beach. This was my first time at this resort, and I believed all rooms had a view of some sort of the beach. Especially when there was no choice to make when I booked, except from 3 different types of rooms. No views mentioned. We ended up in a room at the other end of the building with a view of grass on the one side and parking area on our room side. I could have rather stayed home.

The location and facilities were fabulous as everything was walking distance. We had a problem with the shower and we were upgraded to a different apartment which was available, so we were very pleased. The staff were so friendly and accommodating that we would definitely return. We received excellent service.

The room was ideal for our needs, convenient location and priced well.
