Never kept waiting as staff worked exceptional well as a team.
Breakfasts were excellent for a small hotel and there was lots of choice on the cooked menu plus a good variety on the buffet counter that was frequently replenished. Also served very good evening meals, again with a good choice.

Lovely hotel. Gorgeous courtyard room for our anniversary with our own little decked courtyard. Comfy bed extra large as it was 2 singles with some kind of topper. Lovely decor, modern bathroom. Next to us in the same converted outbuilding was a beautiful self contained unit with kitchen and bedrooms.
. Hotel itself lovely, historic and quirky. Beautiful gardens to sit and watch the sun go down which are very well maintained. Inside is a bar and three eating areas.
Very nice breakfast with lots of choice. We were advised if we wanted dinner to book and we did think surely it will be ok if we decide at last minute. Then we decided to book as it was full for dinner on a Thursday night. We enjoyed it so much we booked for Friday. The staff were lovely and we're obviously happy and well trained, led by example by the owners. We left our dog at home but the hotel and most of the area was very dog friendly .
Bishops Castle itself is a nice small town and a good base to explore around. We hope to come back to the Castle Hotel.

The town hall clock not chiming through the night! Had to shut the window to the room to shut the noise out - a shame as I like to sleep with an open window.

Staff are absolutely brilliant and well trained. Food was great.
Fantastic old building steeped in hiostory that is celebrated.
We had the attic room that has a sloping ceiling. At 6'2 that makes the room somewhat uncomfortable.

lovely old hotel, loved the furnishings & the pictures on the walls. our room was clean & modern, it felt very calming . we had dinner & breakfast which was fantastic. lovely friendly staff .

The hotel is in a lovely location with plenty to do round abouts. The hotel, bar and staff were superb friendly and welcoming. We ate in the hotel, the food was excellent, well priced and good value.

We have stayed before and to be fair we had a small room in the roof but the hotel was very comfortable, a modern bathroom and friendly helpful staff who are always ready with suggestions for walks and advice on places to visit. The breakfast was excellent and meals in the bar just what wanted.

Absolutely delightful stay in Bishop's Castle at the Castle Hotel. Very historic but lovingly restored and comfortable. Staff very accomodating, restaurant for breakfast and dinner very tasty and quick. Strong recommend.

position very good in the town. interior decor very nice. staff excellent. menu choices very good. breakfast lovely. coffee really good. service great nothing too much trouble from our waitress.
an exceptionally cold weekend and we all felt the fires could have been lit earlier, the area we ate our breakfast in was chilly. we realise the property is very old but the bedrooms could have been a bit warmer too. more attention to detail as we felt the stair carpet needed hoovering. bed comfortable but duvet very thin for time of year.
