Our stay at Southern Cross was fantastic and right across from the beach situated in a nice quieter area but still able to walk comfortably to the town center.
Position amazing with fabulous views with plenty of room and everything we needed for our stay.
The pool was lovely, warm, and relaxing with plenty of sun lounges and umbrellas.
Beach towels are available for a small cost at reception.
The lounge chairs were so comfortable and they came with an electric relaxer which was fantastic whilst watching the huge TV.
A TV in each bedroom is also a bonus.
The bathrooms were very spacious and great for getting ready.
The staff were very helpful and we were able to store our luggage before check-in.
WiFi didn't work.
Main bathroom shower didn't drain properly which meant you stood in a pool of water.
No hooks in the bathroom.
Needs flywire screens.

Location is beachfront. Excellent views of the ocean. Close to shops and amenities.
There is nothing that I did not like about this property. Have stayed there 3 years in a row

Great View, 50m to beach
All day roadworks and construction next to appartments so couldnt use balcony in daytime due to the noise from nearby construction machinery. Had to keep widows and curtains drawn in day because of noise & sun
Free Wi-Fi was inadequate, too slow and sporadic. used mobile data instead.
Bathrooms need updating. Air conditioning of appartment not adequate for heat load.
Decoration of walls in apartment was non existent , wall in lounge badly painted and marked.
Information of on going constrution works on your doorstep should be disclosed at the time of booking?
If it was then I certainly wouldnt have chosen this appartment for nearly $300 a night.

Great location. Large corner apartment (Unit 6). Beach across the road, The cafes, restaurants & bars a 5 minute walk away. Free underground parking. Free use of sauna, jacuzzi, table tennis & tennis

The staff are super friendly and helpful! The complex isn't charging ridiculous prices like most of the other places in Burleigh are now. We have been going to Burleigh for generations and the prices are no longer affordable for families anymore. Thank you to Southern Cross for not making your prices unaffordable. The location is perfect and the view amazing.

The view from our room was magnificent.
Watched the sun rise over the water and then set behind the mountains.
Fantastic views! We could see out to the horizon as far as you could see. A quiet place to spend time away , but still close to Surfers Paradise if you wanted to be part of the action.
The only thing is that the carpet in the main living and dining area of our room, was probably due to be replaced.

Our apartment (#52)needs an update especially the bathrooms... unseen places needed a clean. Eg the top of the fridge was in dire need of a clean..
The property was adequate for our stay and didn't affect the overall enjoyment of the stay.

The whole package was excellent.

perfect location-close to beach, shops etc. nice and easy to get to as well. the unit had everything we needed for cooking etc and having two bathrooms was handy. view from our unit was amazing. lots of parking nearby for the extra car.
some things were getting a little tired, possibly could do with a renovation in the unit we stayed in at some point, but everything was functional.

The view was amazing! The heated pool was great and staff were lovely :)
Fresh towels through out the stay would have been nice and more mini size washing liquid and dishwashing liquid, along with shampoo/conditioner however wasn’t a major issue. We didn’t want to buy a whole bottle of dishwashing liquid for 7 days and then waste it after the week was up.

I am feeling deceived. The unit is completely different to what I see here @ booking.com. Both rooms don’t have sea view. the furniture are tired, carpet is dirty, there is a dead fly in the fridge. The word “luxury” should be taken out from the ad because of it us far from luxurious.
The receptionist was so rude! I asked about parking, and he raised his voice. what the….
I need the property to properly explain why it happened this way. I hardly make any bad comment about any service as I considered myself as easy going. But this time is too much!

The location on the Esplanade was very good. Also, another thing that is great about this unit is that the living room and kitchen form an nearly uninterrupted view of the ocean. There is just one pillar that separates the two rooms that slightly blocks the great view. Also, the balcony is excellent, as is the balcony off the master bedroom. Great instructions on using the TV and several movie channels with no commercials.
The interior is a bit dated and there were a couple of cabinets in the bathroom that didn't close easily or completely but that wasn't a big deal.
