I love the location! The Riverside is a quiet oasis in District 2. The complex is where a lot of long term residents live so one doesn’t feel like it’s a hotel. You see lots of families and kids. I really love the beautiful tropical grounds surrounding the property and the big pool. It’s perfect to get your laps in after a long day running around the city. The restaurant is excellent and the people who work there are very nice. I especially enjoyed the setting alongside the Saigon river. Another little bonus is the water taxi and bus service to downtown, so you don’t need to spend as much in taxis. The Riverside also has free laundry machines if you don’t mind doing your own laundry!

The decor of the rooms is getting a bit dated. If I ran the place, I’d freshen them up and redecorate. That said, the beds are comfy and I slept very well. Note that the electrical outlets are possibly the British version. The Riverside provides adapters

Staff were terrible. No cleaning was done as they insisted on coming at 8am and then when we ran out of toilet paper they refused to give us more. 1st floor balcony has 0 privacy. If you don't have kids this place is terrible.

a superb stay and the perfect place to acclimatise when arriving in HCMC.The pool facilities were great for the kids and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed it so much we are returning when we come back to HCMC.

A bit dated bit that's my only negative

Excellent location for D2 and very scenic being right on the river. Great swimming pool and lovely grounds. Coastal Restaurant offered good food with a lovely view. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious but slightly dated.

Riverside offers great facilities for this part of HCMC. However, you are a 30 minute taxi ride from the city centre and 45 minutes from the airport.

The overall setting o the complex is goo enough. It has all the things that one would need. Depending on the length of the stay, there is almost anything available, from football / basketball courts, to swimming pool and gym. The staff at the reception is helpful enough and immediately when you walk out of the complex, there is a nice variety of restaurants, shopping mall in 10 minutes walk. The apartment has almost anything you would need. Again, it also has to do with the length of your stay (I was there 1 night, so did not use most of them).

Unfortunately, there is a large building being built next to the complex, and there is some noise from it ( I know the staff can't do anything about it, but be aware during your booking). The apartment is kept clean, maintained, but it looks old. The furniture is coming to the end of its life, some of the AC units were making some strange sounds and the electrical sockets have a different lay-out (I think type G). Because of the grounding pin also acts like a safety, if you want to plug in a phone charger (example C type), you either need a travel adapter, of some creativity, to unblock the safety (I used a plastic pic I had on hand). They have one universal adapter in the apartment, but it does not work.
