Location is nearby the station Breakfast was good: croissant, baguette, yoghert, fresh fruit and refill of coffee. Room itself was fine for a night and was as said on the discription. The man at the check-in desk was very friendly. With this I would have given a solid 8.

That said the check-out wasn't great. The man at the check-in desk said check-out was 11u and a sign at the reception said that as well. (photo inclosed) At 10u a lady not so friendly bounced at the door that I should have left already. I tried to explain the information I got with the check-in but that didn't matter. It was a very onpleasant encounter. (filled a complain about it).

Location was great walking distance to all activities and attractions . Comfortable beds , rooms clean but basic

No restaurant/bar facilities due to lack of staffing . Had booked for 3 in triple room , gave a days notice prior to travel one person was sick and unable to travel , asked for booking to be changed to 2 , room was changed but price for booking was not adjusted , I felt this was unfair maybe charge for one night if needed but not for three especially because of the reduced facilities

1) Booked for 5 adults and 1 child. Booking.com reservation shows that. Person at the reception says the booking is for 5 persons. Argument at 12 am. 2) Paid twice. one was a block and then had to pay upon checkin. could the hotel not have utilised the blocked amount? and by the way, no confirmation from the hotel or booking.com that this first payment was a block. just not clear.

The Location is great. Parking is right next to the hotel. The beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately, I had a rather bad (or maybe rather unfortunate) experience with the hotel staff. One of the reasons for booking the hotel was that they offered breakfast. It turns out that the rest of the staff did not show up (according to the very stressed staff member who checked us in) and there was no breakfast after all... Which was a little unfortunate but the information almost went unnoticed with the amount of stress the employee had. However unfortunate, we understand that some things are not foreseeable and considering the circumstances the situation was handled ok. In the hectic moment, I forgot to ask for my ID back, which I only noticed once I already was in Barcelona.. I immediately texted the Hotel via the booking.com chat function. They replied quickly that the ID was handed back to me at checkin. Even though I was sure that the employee never handed the ID back (I am a frequent traveller and have one specific place for my ID), I searched my luggage and couldn't find it. Once I asked the Hotel again to check the office, they replied that the ID card is not there and not in our room either and that she checked the security video which allegedly showed her giving the ID back... In the end I "gave up" (as I also have a regular passport) and called the passport office back home to inform them about the loss. Against my expectations, there would have been a fee in case of loss, so I wanted to make sure that the card was nowhere in my luggage and I asked the hotel to send the security video as it might show, where I put the card. At the mention of a police report, my ID magically reappeared in the Hotel... I decided to let it slide and just be happy about it and ask the employee to send it to me, which she did. HOWEVER!! She decided to send it like a "normal" letter!! Now, I have no way of knowing, where my ID card is, if it is getting lost somewhere,... I am shocked about the lack of professionalism.
