Stairs to our room, toiletries very scant and very small bathroom.

The bed was comfortable.

suffocating. The apartment had a kitchen but did not even have a knife to cut veggies or fruit. No elevator.

the host Elizabeth is very welcoming and helps to make our trip a special one.lovely chapel in guesthouse for quite prayer Elizabeth also has daily evening rosary or mass .it’s only minutes away from the grotto.we’ve been staying with Elizabeth’s guesthouse for several years now .the studios are perfect as you can do own cooking and chill out .I’d certainly recommend you give Elizabeth’s guesthouse a try I am sure youl love it

Elisabeth is such a super host. We cant thank her enough for her hospitality. She helped us for our pilgrimage schedule. Her recommendation made our pilgrimage even more special. She also can help you to book the taxi to go to airport, etc. The room is small but clean and comfortable. It is located just 10 minutes walk from the Church and directly located at the shopping area where you can find food. Even St. Bernadette's house, now a museum, is located across the street. There is an electric kettle in the room, so you can make yourself a nice warm beverage at night. The breakfast is fulfilling. A nice cup of. Warm coffee/tea and some French bread. Overall it was a really wonderful 2 nights stay.

The location is superb, right in the centre of Lourdes and close to The Grotto. Elizabeth is very attentive and helpful!

It is within walkin distance to grotto. Room was v clean but it is not serviced. Breakfast was one cup of coffee and one croissant, no buffet. And u must go downstairs to get ur croissant in th morning and has to be eaten in ur room. But for that price it was good. Its guest house Not hotel. !!!

There was plenty outlets near th bed 2charge u phone. And a door opens out on to small balcony which was nice if u like bit of air in room !!!

The location is close to the Sanctuary of Lourdes, and the studio is well-equipped, including the kitchen. Elizabeth, the landlady, is friendly and helpful. The small oratory in the building is also an excellent place to pray during the stay. The property is also pretty quiet during the night. So overall, it is a fantastic experience to stay in Au Berceau de Bernadette.

I know we have to clean the kitchen area, but I am a little surprised that we also have to clean the bathroom. I don't mind doing that, but maybe it should be more specific on the website or before our arrival about which part of the studio that we must clean.

Being a first time international and solo traveller, was it reassuring to know that I was and felt safe. I was able to walk about and explore Lourdes at my leisure. Fresh croissants, french loaf, jams and coffee were available every day. Something I really looked forward to. I enjoyed the option of joining in on mass and meeting other members of the community. I walked everywhere from the bistro around the corner to having my nails done within a 20 minute walk away. Elisabeth was warm, welcoming and ever so generous with her time in ensuring that my stay was a memorable one. indeed it was and felt a little tug at my heart when I left. Thank you for arranging the taxi service as well. So, if you’re looking for that special little bit of haven, this is it. Thank you Elisabeth.

I really disliked the fact that I was charged twice for our stay and until now no refund had been given yet although the host already clarified with me that the other deduction did not go to her account. So, I'm still wondering where is the money now although in my bank account it charged to the same accomodation. I already emailed booking.com but no answer.

Informed just 2 days before check in that we have to check in by 18:30 despite the contract clearly stating that it was till 20:00. However after email sent by me reminding the the proprietor of her obligations and that we were unlikely to accede to the new checking cutoff time due to flight, she decided to wait for us. Hot water did not work for 2 days in a row in one of the rooms despite escalation and following instructions given. Was informed on checking in to studio, that arrangements to check water leakage was arranged and we had to leave the room by 9 am. Proprietor apologized profusely whilst saying it could not be helped as she was informed a week before our arrival. She should have informed us earlier before the dateline for cancellation and given us the option to cancel or continue with the booking. Place was dusty and dirty. Kitchen cutlery , kettle etc were dirty.

We suggest to future patrons to plan your stay here and ask for any supplies needed. Shower area is sufficient but small. Large bodied person may feel uncomfortable .

The place is nice and warm, especially the help of Elisabeth. We will definitely come back.
