The hotel is cosy, not big, was a perfect option for me as it served as a connection point in my travels. Located in the vicinity of the railway station and not far away from one of the marvels of this world - Meenakshi Amman Temple.

Staff here are very attentive and from the lobby everything looks good. The food in the restaurant isn’t bad. Nothing to be wowed about, but not bad. Unfortunately the room didn’t live up to expectations.

It’s clear the hotel was decorated quite a long time ago, it’s quite old fashioned. The real issue is the bathroom. Repairs are done poorly, and it had an odd smell to it. Bizarrely the toilet didn’t seem to have a flush button and I had to resort to using the bucket left in the bathroom. Worst was the disgusting bathtub. It was stained and slimy, as if it hadn’t been cleaned since the last person used it. Not a pleasant experience. The air con is very loud from all the rooms, even if you turn off your own, you can hear the hum from everywhere else. This is definitely overpriced for what I got.

Location and the classic style of hotel. Duty Manager - Mr Abirh was excellent and the room staff especially Amurgum were enthusiastic.

Breakfast lacked variety especially regarding south Indian meal choices.
